Concept of Concrete-filled steel tube is of recent origin where in the steel pipe is utilized to constraint its core concrete and make the core concrete under complex stress state so that concrete strength can be improved for its ductility and toughness . This structure possesses high bearing load capacity, good ductility, good anti-seismic performance, fire resistance property and low cost. It has been widely used in the civil engineering, such as bridge structures, high-rise buildings, and industrial plants and so on. Now a days , the concrete-filled steel tube has been studied a lot and have made great progress, However, for its Monotonic Loading, the concrete fill results in good bearing capacity, and compression loading is very difficult to realize. The concrete columns under compression is common form of engineering structures. Hence, it is necessary to study the failure and damage process of concrete-filled steel tube (CFST) column with M20,M25,M30,M40 grade of concrete under compression load. Experimental Results of Concrete filled steel tubes (CFST) column with M20,M25,M30, and M40MPa grade of concrete obtained by Previous Research (From VTU R& D project conducted at R & D Centre, Civil Engineering Department, Ghousia College of Engineering, Ramnagaram) will be modeled for Fracture Analysis and compared with actual fracture of Concrete filled steel tubes (CFST) columns using the ABAQUS /CAE 6.10-1. Proper Analytical modeling will be carried out taking in to account all fracture parameters and justified with ABAQUS. Ultimate load for all the above four infill’s, after crack will be determined.

Hydrological modelling such as rainfall-runoff modeling and climate modelling is one of the most important and challenging task in the modern world. In general, climate, rainfall and runoff are highly non-linear and complicated phenomena, which require advanced computer modeling and simulation for their accurate prediction. An Artificial Neural Network (ANN) can be used to predict the behavior of such nonlinear systems. ANN has been successfully used by most of the researchers in this field for the last twenty-five years. This paper provides a survey of available literature of some methodologies employed by different researchers to utilize ANN for rainfall-runoff and climate change prediction. The survey also reports that such hydrological modelling using ANN technique is more suitable than traditional statistical and numerical methods.

GIS assist in specific planning and decision making processes in irrigation through the input, spatial analysis & output of relevant information. The real strength of GIS is its ability to integrate information. This integration power makes the scope of GIS almost infinite. The unique integration capability of GIS allows disparate data sets to be brought together to create a complete picture of a situation. GIS technology illustrates relationships, patterns & connections that are not necessarily obvious in any one data set but are amazingly apparent once the data set are integrated. The GIS based systems helps in selection & fixing of the various canal alignments in a command area. Building Information Modeling(BIM) tools is an intelligent model based process which is very helpful for planning & designing purpose. The cross-section of the canal has been fixed along the final selected alignment by using BIM tools. The aim of this study is to present the applications of GIS techniques along with BIM tools for fixing of the canal alignment and also designing a canal cross-section in Somnala Minor Irrigation Scheme of Gosikhurd Indira Sagar Project.

Green building research and construction is getting day by day a place in construction industry worldwide. With augmenting issues of environment and growing concern over climate change, a social sustainable green building research is getting importance. However, construction of green buildings still encounters impediments, as there is a lack of proper framework and research. The present study aims to identify common barriers encountered and social factors which are important for the sustainability of green building research. The findings from this review reveal that, although project cost is the paramount barrier among others, there is no paucity in sustainable knowledge in construction industry. Furthermore, a sustainable green building research (SGBR) framework for green building construction should be developed to overcome the barriers.

The research aims to highlight the importance of maintenance in general and the maintenance of school buildings, in particular, to identify the problems and constraints of maintenance of school buildings and the extent of follow-up schools and authorities competent departments in the perpetuation of educational facilities to ensure its functionality and maintain the integrity of the building and the level of comfort to the user through an elected sample intentional architectures school implemented by the Ministry of Education or on behalf of, where the research contained the first two parts of data collection and recording observations, as well as data obtained from the survey of school buildings and personal interviews of specialists from the teachers and the administration of Engineers personnel and gentlemen in school buildings department and the second part questionnaire that were distributed to the elected school principals, showed the results of the analysis of data from many weaknesses in practice maintenance system, including administrative and planning and organizational side and the lack of engineering staff with competence and experience and good performance and a lack of honesty in the use of high quality materials.

In this study, we investigate the effect of asphalt rutting on road Traffic collision. Rutting is one of the most important and customary failures in flexible pavements, not only impose heavy costs on custodians and road users, but also cause lots of safety hazards. rutting occurs by permanent and irreversible aggregate changes in surface layers of pavement under the under repeated traffic loading Among all the involved layers in rutting, the permanent movement in surface layer of the pavement allocate a great deal of fractures, so it is necessary to pay close attention to the permanent changes in asphalt mixtures in aggregation plans. By having view to the climatic conditions, the slipping potential of vehicles in rainy or snowy weather leads to reduction in roads safety, and consequently increase in Traffic collision. The statistical population in this research is 45 randomly selected drivers of crew members in public transformation fleet, freight, and passengers' cars. The applied data collection method in research is questionnaire and SPSS Statistical software used to data analysis. In this paper, we investigate the phenomenon of asphalt rutting in Ghorveh-Hamedan route and its correlation with Traffic collision.

The main aim of our project is to avoid conflicts at intersections and cross sections by proposing a Safe and efficient design of Four Phase Traffic Signal. At intersections where there are large number of crossings and right turns, there will be a possibility of several accidents or traffic jams due to the in order movement of traffic especially at cross sections. The earlier practice of controlling the traffic by a traffic police using stop signs alternately at the cross roads so that one stream of traffic is allowed while the traffic flow from the other stream is stopped was quite effective. But now a days, due to the increase of traffic as well as pollution, a lot of difficulties are being faced with the employment of a traffic police. In this aspect, the same problem is been faced at Sreenivas Centre in Nandyal which is a four legged intersection. The heavy traffic flowing from bus-stand towards Atmakur and Srisailam causes a lot of conflicts in the traffic flow from Nunepally towards Gandhi Chowk and Byrmal Street . So in this connection, in order to have a pleasant and safe travel, there should be an orderly movement of traffic which is possible through signal control. So there is a strong requirement of signal regulated traffic flow for the four legged intersection at Sreenivas Centre. This project deals with the design of cycle length for the four phases by Webster method.

Present study deals with the bed load transport and shear stress with uniform and non-uniform sediments in an open channel under different experimental conditions. Effort has been made to analyse extensive experimental results in comparison with the existing theories given by the various eminent researchers for both the types of sediment materials. Empirical relations are proposed by dimensionless approach with the help of Buckingham-? theorem in terms of dimensionless shear stress and bed load transport parameter. Results are compared and vaidated with Meunier (2006) and Roorkee’s approach [i.e. Gilbert (1914), Pazis & Graf, Paintal (1977), Misri et. al (1984), Ranga Raju & R. J. Garde (1986)] for both uniform and non uniform sediment material.

The objective of the investigation is to mathematically simulate dynamics and vibrations of a small structure. This structure is simulating a short length bridge with 3 spans, two end fixed supports and 2 intermediate supports. The top bridge portion of the structure is subjected to a concentrated moving load simulating a vehicle moving on the bridge. Structural Analysis as regards determination of support moments and reactions is done by Matrix Method of Structural Analysis. All supports are subjected to time varying reactions. Considering intermediate supports as a single DOF system, the transient vibration response is ascertained.

Mean temperature and precipitation are sensitive indicators of climate change. The present study examines the effect of climate change on temperature and precipitation regimes of Jhelum river basin using the predictor data of the global climate models (GCMs) and the local historical weather data. Multiple linear regression technique was used to carry out the downscaling of the GCM predictors. At the end of the 21st century the mean annual temperature of the Jhelum river basin is predicted to increase by 2.37°C, whereas the average annual precipitation is predicted to decrease substantially by 38.56%.
