Quality in the health sector-Issues and perspectives
The quality management in the health sector is a key issue ; he advocates a participatory approach. The latter is based on e highlighting of art features and complexity of health facilities and their management. A Benchmarking study has been conducted with the objective of highlighting quality measurement instruments for the evaluation of professional practices, as well as the value of certification and the cost of non-quality.

Removal of CU (II) from aqueous solution using custard apple peel powder as adsorbent
Heavy metal accumulation in waste water could affect aquatic life, human health and overall ecosystem adversely. Therefore, in recent years much emphasis has been given for the use of agricultural waste as low cost adsorbents for the removal of metallic contaminants from waste water. In this paper, the studies on removal of Cu (II) by adsorption on custard apple peel powder as adsorbent have been investigated in a batch type experiments. The agitation time, the adsorbent size, adsorbent dosage, initial copper concentration, and the effect of solution pH are studied. The Freundlich model for Cu (II) adsorption onto Custard apple peel powder is proved to be the best fit followed by Langmuir model and Tempkin model based on high regression coefficient R2 value. The adsorption kinetic behavior is best described by second order. The maximum percentage removal of metal efficiency is found to be 93.97 %. The results obtained in this study illustrate that custard apple peel powder is expected to be an effective and economically viable adsorbent for Cu (II) removal from industrial waste water.

Reproductive health in a rural Scenario
This paper is the outcome of my two months intensive and in-depth field work conducted in two multi-caste villages of Belgaum District of North Karnataka. The aim of this paper is to know the importance of Reproductive Health hazards of Farm Women Labourers who hails from different socio-economic background and deprived of basic health facilities. World Health Organization (W.H.O.) has defined Health as a “state of complete physical, mental and social well being and not merely an absence of disease or infirmity” (W.H.O. 1948). The Webser dictionary defines health as “the condition of being sound in body, mind or spirit especially freedom from physical disease or pain”. Health to all is the prime motto of W.H.O.

Resection-reconstruction by Self-grafting by iliac crest For giant cell tumor of distal radius: one case and review literature
Giant cell tumor (GCT) of the distal radius poses problems for reconstruction after resection. Several reconstructive procedures like vascularized and non-vascularized fibular graft, osteo-articular allograft, ceramic prosthesis and megaprosthesis are in use for substitution of the defect in the distal radius following resection. Most authors advocate wrist arthrodesis following resection of distal radius and non vascularized fibular graft. Here we have used a self-grafting by iliac crest the results are very satisfactory

Revisiting Nationalism through Literary Mediations: A Reading of Sultan Tipu
Nationalism as a value is constantly rebuilt through legend making and selective arbitrary iconization / idealisation. Here, literature becomes an enabling medium to critically redefine these nationalist icons, liberating us from intimidating epic expectations by looking at the varied narratives. My paper aims to highlight such complexities underpinning the national identities of Indian past and also, as to how these personalities are re-figured in the post-nationalist discourse. I intend to foreground the rewriting of Tipu Sultan a historical figure, through a re-reading of H.S. Shiva Prakash’s play Tipu Sultan.

Securing Broker-Less Publish/Subscribe Systems Using Identity-Based Encryption
Identification approach to provide authentication and confidentiality in a broker-less and confidentiality are the main objective of any distributed system the pub/sub system. Our approach allows subscribers to maintain credentials according to their subscriptions. Private keys assigned to the subscribers are labeled with the credentials. A publisher associates each encrypted event with a set of credentials. We adapted identity-based encryption (IBE) mechanisms 1) to ensure that a particular subscriber can decrypt an event only if there is a match between the credentials associated with the event and the key; and 2) to allow subscribers to verify the authenticity of received events. 1) Extensions of the cryptographic methods to provide efficient routing of encrypted events by using the idea of searchable encryption, 2) “Multicredential routing” a new event dissemination strategy which strengthens the weak subscription confidentiality, and 3) a thorough analysis of different attacks on subscription confidentiality.

Service sectors growth in India: can integration of Lean Six sigma be a solution?
Service sectors such as banking, healthcare, hospitals, retail etc in India are facing an immense pressure from customers in providing the services at a faster rate with a greater quality. At present, service sectors are increasingly becoming a customer centric service provider. Integration of Lean and Six Sigma is a kind of quality and time enhancing strategy that can help service sectors to win the customer loyalty and growth. However, Lean Six Sigma itself is only not enough to meet the rapidly increasing competition, but also, the integration between Lean Six Sigma and the knowledge management is very important. The study examines the achievable benefits by the use of knowledge management and also gives the critical analysis of the impact of Lean Six Sigma in service sectors and the customer satisfaction by providing the products and services at the best quality within the least time (customer available time). The article provides “5 I” (5 I – Identify, Investigate, Improve, Implement and Impart) approach with Lean and Six Sigma combination and the tools and techniques to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the services and products that provide. In this article “5 I” approach explains the use of tools and methodology to be adopted to streamline the process and also to improve the quality in the output. The 5I approach with the tool box explained in the article interim will help in growth of service sectors in India in achieving effectiveness and efficiency. It also provides the customer satisfaction by providing the services faster, greater quality and lesser cost.

SHG Membership and Awareness about Social Issues- A Case Study
Self Help Groups enhance the equality of status of women of participants’ decision makers and beneficiaries in the democratic, economic, social and cultural spheres of life. SHGs have an inbuilt mechanism where emphasis has been over capacity building of women through developing their dialoguing skills. The study was conducted in four districts of North Karnataka covering 100 SHGs and 400 members has revealed some significant trends regarding the membership of Self Help Groups in creation of awareness about the social issues. The awareness about the social issues among the members of the SHGs has been of a high order as the responses indicate about the different social issues. Higher majority of women members of SHGs are in favour of abolition of child labour, removing illiteracy among women and about mobilizing public opinion against alcoholism among men, Similarly major percent of them have favored women empowerment, abolition of dowry, and removal of gender discrimination in employment, wages etc. The positive impact of SHG membership is highly pronounced with regard to awareness about social issues.

Smart Learning using Smartphone: Current Spell on Language Learning
M-learning is the ongoing trend in education with special reference to ELT. This paper advocates the use of smartphone applications to enhance the English speaking skills of tertiary level learners in remedial classes. This study focuses on the latest instant messaging mobile applications to evoke the young learners’ interest in oral discussions. The research has been carried out using Whatsapp, WeChat, and Line, through which instant audio messages are sent in a faster pace. The suggested apps help teachers not only to evoke interest in young learners, who are behind the spell of instant messages, but also help to provide instant feedback from teachers irrespective of time and place. A positive transformation in learners is noted using these instant messaging applications to enrich their English speaking skill. The study proves that the suggested approach to language learning is comparatively positive and convivial.
