The Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) spectra and FT-Raman spectra of N –acetyl thiourea (NATU) was recorded in the regions 4000-400 cm-1 respectively, in the solid phase. Molecular electronic energy, geometrical structure, harmonic vibrational frequencies and bonding features of the title compound were computed three parameter hybrid functional Lee-Yang -–Parr/6-31G(d,p) and 6-311++G(d,p) levels of theory. The vibrational studies were interpreted in terms of potential energy distribution. The results were compared with experimental values with the help of harmonic vibrational spectra. Infrared intensities and Raman scattering activities, highest occupied molecular orbital, lowest unoccupied molecular orbital energy, and energy gaps were computed above method. The observed wave number in FTIR spectra was analyzed and assigned to different normal modes of the molecule. Most of the modes have wave numbers in the expected range and are in good agreement with computed values. The first order hyperpolarizability of this molecular system and related properties (?, ?, ? and ??) are calculated using B3LYP method based on the finite-field approach. Stability of the molecule arising from hyper conjugative interactions, charge delocalization and intermolecular hydrogen bond-like weak interaction has been analyzed using natural bond orbital (NBO) analysis by using B3LYP method. The results show that electron density (ED) in the ?* and ?*antibonding orbital’s and second-order delocalization energies E(2) confirm the occurrence of intra-molecular charge transfer (ICT) within the molecule.

An analysis is presented for the problem of the fully developed natural convection magnetohydrodynamics micropolar fluid flow of heat and mass transfer in a vertical channel. Asymmetric temperature and convection boundary conditions are applied to the walls of the channel. The cases of double diffusion and Soret-induced connections are both considered. Solutions of the coupled non-linear governing equations are obtained for different values of the buoyancy ratio and various material parameters of the micropolar fluid and magnetic parameters. The resulting non dimensional boundary value problem is solved by the Galerken Finite element method using MATLAB Software. Influence of the governing parameters on the fluid flow as well as heat and solute transfers is demonstrated to be significant.

Heat and mass transfer effects on the unsteady flow of micropolar fluids embedded in a porous medium are studied by taking into the account of viscous dissipation with a homogeneous chemical reaction of the first order. Using the Galerkin finite element method the expressions for the velocity, microrotation, temperature and concentrations are obtained. The effect of material parameters such as Prandtl number Pr, Grashof number G, Modified Grashof number Gm, Schmidth number Sc, Eckert number Ec, the spin-gradient viscosity ?, the dimensionless viscosity ratio ?, the coefficient of gyro-viscosity or vortex viscosity ?, permeability of the porous medium K, Chemical reaction parameter , and time t. Further the results of Skin friction coefficient, the rate of heat transfer and mass transfer at the wall are presented with various values of fluid properties and flow conditions on the velocities, temperature and concentration are plotted in the graph and discussed. In the present analysis we study the effect of viscous dissipation on unsteady free convection flow of a laminar incompressible micropolar fluid with heat and mass transfer past a vertical porous plate embedded in a porous medium with chemical reaction.

As an academic discipline, business ethics emerged in the 1970s. Since no academic business ethics journals or conferences existed, researchers published in general management journals, and attended general conferences. Over time, specialized peer-reviewed journals appeared, and more researchers entered the field. Corporate scandals in the earlier 2000s increased the field's popularity. As of 2009, sixteen academic journals devoted to various business ethics issues existed, with Journal of Business Ethics and Business Ethics Quarterly considered the leaders. Business ethics (also corporate ethics) is a form of applied ethics or professional ethics that examines ethical principles and moral or ethical problems that arise in a business environment. It applies to all aspects of business conduct and is relevant to the conduct of individuals and entire organizations. Business ethics has both normative and descriptive dimensions. As a corporate practice and a career specialization, the field is primarily normative. Academics attempting to understand business behavior employ descriptive methods. The range and quantity of business ethical issues reflects the interaction of profit-maximizing behavior with non-economic concerns. Interest in business ethics accelerated dramatically during the 1980s and 1990s, both within major corporations and within academia. For example, today most major corporations promote their commitment to non-economic values under headings such as ethics codes and social responsibility charters. Managing the marketing mix makes marketing seem to easy to handle and organize. Marketing is separated from other activities of the firm and delegated to specialists who take care of the analysis, planning and implementation of various marketing tasks, such as market analysis, marketing planning, advertising, sales promotion, sales, pricing, distribution and product packaging. Marketing departments are created to take responsibility for the marketing function of the firm, sometimes together with outside specialists on, for example, market analysis and advertising. Both in the marketing literature and in everyday marketing vocabulary the expression “marketing department”, and organization unit, is used as a synonym for marketing function, which is the process of taking care of the fulfilment of customer needs and desires. However, the organizational approach inherent in the marketing mix management paradigm is not very useful either. The psychological effect on the rest of the organization of a separate marketing department is, in the long run, often devastating to the development of a customer orientation or market orientation in a firm. A marketing orientation with, for example, high-budget advertising campaigns may be developed, but this does not necessarily have much to do with true market orientation and a real appreciation for the needs and desires of the customers. The existence or introduction of such a department may be a trigger that makes everybody else lose whatever little interest in the customers they may have had. The marketing department approach to organizing the marketing function has isolated marketing from design, production, deliveries, technical service, complaints handling, invoicing and other activities of the firm.

There is a decline in the intake of fruit and vegetables and the diets have shifted toward more sugars and fats, due to urbanization. Vegetables being a rich source of soluble and insoluble fibres can be incorporated in various food products to improve the functional properties of these products. Bakery products are consumed by a wide range of population and hence bakery products, such as bread,biscuits, rusks and cookies serve as a vehicle for the incorporation of functional foods and dietary fibre. Vegetables such as broad beans, cluster beans and French beans rich in dietary fibre were selected and processed to prepare dry powder.This powder was incorporated in the bakery product rusk at 10%,20%,and 30%, level to the standard rusk recipe. The rusks were prepared separately using broad beans, cluster beans and French beans powder. The rusk biscuits were then organoleptically evaluated for the acceptability. Nutrient analysis were carried out for the standard and the fibre incorporated rusk that were selected after sensory evaluation. The glycemic index of the formulated rusk was determined to check if the fibre incorporated, reduced the glycemic load of the rusk. The study revealed that 10 percent level of incorporation of the different vegetable powders was found to be acceptable. The crude and dietary fibre content increased in the formulated rusk. The glycemic index of the beans powder incorporated rusk was less when compared with the standard rusk.

The objective of this work is to study the efficiency of some surface modified phyllosilicate minerals (bentonite and glauconite) in the removal of dyes from textile waste water. It is found that complete dye removal was achieved by using (10-25) g modified glauconite from solutions having a dye concentration of 10-50 mg/L. Adsorption data were modeled using Langmuir, Freundlich, Temkin and Dubinin-Radushkevich isotherms. Adsorption capacities and optimum adsorption isotherms were predicted by linear regression method. The analysis of experimental isotherms showed that Langmuir isotherm reasonably fit the experimental data in the studied concentration range for the adsorption of dye onto glauconite mineral surface where Freundlich isotherm fit the experimental data for the adsorption of dye onto bentonite mineral surface.

The bio-sorption process concern the mineral response to the bacterium presence, which is essentially interplay between microorganism and the physicochemical properties of the mineral surface. The adhesion of microorganisms to minerals results in alteration of surface chemistry of minerals relevant to beneficiation process due to a consequence of the formation of a biofilm on the surface or bio-catalyzed surface oxidation or reduction products. Low grade of finely disseminated iron ores have become the main sources of raw iron ores in many countries with the depletion of high grade deposits. In this paper, the amenability of utilization of Brevundimonas diminuta isolated and adapted on surfaces of iron and phosphate ores, as flotation reagents for separating the harmful impurities such as phosphorus in the bio-flotation of iron oxide-apatite minerals system is studied. The effect of micro-organism on the surface properties of the two single minerals has been studied through zeta potential and adhesion measurements as well as micro-flotation tests. The effect of pH of the medium on the surface properties and flotation behaviour of each single mineral is determined. Flotation of binary mixtures of haematite-apatite as well as natural iron ore has also been performed at different operating parameters.

Segmentation and classification of high resolution satellite imagery is a challenging problem due to the fact that it is no longer meaningful to carry out this task on a pixel-by-pixel basis. The fine spatial resolution implies that each object is an aggregation of a number of pixels in close spatial proximity, and accurate classification requires that this aspect be subtly considered. K-means clustering algorithm is a better method of classifying high resolution satellite imagery. The extracted regions are classified using a minimum distance decision rule. Several regions are selected as training samples for region classification. Each region is compared to the training samples and is assigned to its closest class. The procedure significantly reduces the mixed pixel problem suffered by most pixel based methods. In this paper, we used K-means clustering algorithm to classify satellite imagery into specific objects within it for cadastral and environmental planning purposes, thereby eliminating the above mentioned problems and getting better classification accuracy with the overall performance for accuracy percentage as 88.889% and Kappa values as 0.835.
