Integrated Automated Jacks for 4-wheelers
An Automobile hydraulic jack can be easily operated by a single push button provided on the dash board. The jack will be installed on both the sides of chassis according to the weight distributions of the car. Similarly it will be installed on the other side of the car. The system operates on hydraulic drive which consists of three main parts: hydraulic pump, driven by an electric motor, hydraulic cylinder to lift the vehicle. The hydraulic jacks actuate separately for either side of car as per the breakdown condition. The car gets lifted and load gets distributed on three point i.e., plunger or ram of hydraulic cylinder and two tires opposite to side which is lifted. This jack will be very useful for all the senior citizens and especially for females (ladies) who find it extremely difficult to operate the jack manually in any breakdown condition. The motive behind using hydraulic system instead of a pneumatic system is the more power produced by the system and simple in design as compared to a pneumatic design. As the hydraulic oil is incompressible so the lifting capacity is more in comparison with the pneumatic system which operates on air which is compressible.

Design and Fabrication of Pneumatic Rubber Stamping Machine
Pneumatic applications are increasing day to day. Nowadays most of the systems are rehabilitated into Pneumatic. This is due to the speed, accuracy and safety of Pneumatic systems, when compared to the rest. Till date the rubber stamping is done manually. It is for the reason that the content, size and shape of Rubber stamp may vary depending on the particular application. But no research is carried out for large measure of similar rubber stamping. In order to save the man power and to reduce the processing time the Pneumatic Rubber Stamping Machine is designed and fabricated.

Prediction and analysis of multi responses in drilling of EN8 steel under MQL using ANN-Taguchi approach
This work has been done in two phases. In the first phase, the controllable parameters (cutting speeds, feed rates, type of drill tool, cutting fluids) which influence the responses (torque, cutting force, surface roughness, material removal rate, power) in drilling of En8 steel are identified and an Artificial Neural Network (ANN) model has been developed to predict the responses. The developed ANN model has been trained and tested with experimental data of drilling process which is conducted under Minimum Quantity Lubrication (MQL) condition. ANN tested results are closely matched with experimental results. In the second phase, the ANN predicted results are analyzed by performing Taguchi’s S/N ratio analysis and optimum combinations of input parameters are determined. Further, the analysis of variance (ANOVA) is employed to find the contribution of input parameters on output parameters. This work is useful in predicting the multi responses while cutting different materials in different processes.

Performance Model Development for Indian Smes
The present paper describes research undertaken to evaluate the appropriateness of strategic performance measurement (PM) system and processes for small- and medium-sized Indian enterprises (SMEs). An evaluation is undertaken of three case studies to facilitate a performance model for the strategic improvement. This evaluation resulted in the identification of a process, based on its congruency to the theoretical model adopted. Data collected from SMEs is analyzed. The paper concludes with a number of recommendations to facilitate the application of model for SMEs.

Analysis of Preheat ignition of air on engine performance using waste exhaust heat recovery
Since the inception of industrial revolution, a continuous attempt has been made to recover and minimize the waste heat. In the present research paper review on heat pipe is done. Through heat pipe the hot air is used to pre heat the inlet air of 4 stroke diesel engines. Further, the different performance parameter is calculated for the analyzing the effect of pre heat inlet air in comparison of normal air. Variation of Performance is discussed and salient conclusion is drawn which indicates that, a wide scope is available for further research on heat pipe and especially in the relation of IC engine exhaust heat recovery system to preheat the inlet air.

Study about EGR System
Concern of environmental pollution and energy crisis all over the world have caused the research attention on reduction of diesel engine exhaust emissions and saving of energy simultaneously. An experimental study has been carried out for combined effect of Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) system and varying inlet air pressure on performance and emission of diesel engine. As we know that the diesel engine are known for their high NOx formation and Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) is being used widely to reduce and control the oxides of nitrogen (NOx) emission from diesel engines.

Experimental Study of Slot Jet Flow on Flat and Curved Surfaces
In the present work experimental setup is planned, designed and fabricated for the study on jet impingement heat transfer on flat and curved surfaces of radius of curvature 0.5, 0.725, 1.3. Experiment was conducted for the varying Reynolds number of 3500, 5500 and 9000. The heat transfer characteristics of a slot jet obtained from nozzle designed is impinged on concave and flat surfaces with constant heat flux have been analyzed experimentally. The effects of surface curvature R/L, the dimensionless nozzle to surface distance and Reynolds number on average Nusselt number of plate is obtained. It is found that Reynolds number has greater influence on heat transfer from the plates as the H/W ratio varies. The findings of the present study can be utilized to investigate the curvature of the blade for which heat transfer is more and to optimize the cooling rates in the surfaces for the better design of the gas turbine blades.

Performance improvement using OEE in edible oil industry focused on degumming section
This present paper analyses the present status of edible oil manufacturing in the country. After basic study and OEE calculation, maintenance improvement program is implemented and gaps are identified. Mainly the degumming section are focused as it is one of the important section are identified. The main purpose of this present paper is to provide an overview of the typical processes and interrelations associated with a total integrated process and maintenance activities. OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) are calculated regularly which will prove to be beneficial to those new in the industry. It must be stressed that this present research work attempts to touch in a limited number area of production equipments or departments. Continuous measurement of OEE has proven remarkable improvement.

Support vector machine in the prediction of heart disease based on simple k-means clustering
The Healthcare industry is generally “information rich”, but unfortunately not all the data are mined which is required for discovering hidden patterns & effective decision making. We are evaluating the performance of Simple K-Means algorithm Clustering using the mode of classes to clusters evaluation with the prediction attribute nom. The performance of these techniques is compared, based on accuracy. As per our results accuracy of Simple K-Means Clustering, Sequential Minimal Optimization and Sequential Minimal Optimization via Simple K-Means Clustering are 80.85%, 83.82% and 96.69% respectively. In our studies 10-fold cross validation method was used to measure the unbiased estimate of prediction model. The model uses medical terms such as sex, blood pressure, cholesterol like 13 attributes to predict the likelihood of patient getting a Heart disease. Until now, 13 attributes are used for prediction. Our analysis shows that classification model SVM via Simple K-Means Clustering predicts cardiovascular disease with least error rate and highest accuracy of 96.69%.

Mechanical Characteristics of Palm and Glass Sandwiched Polymer Composite
The environment friendly natural fibers used in this study are taken from leaf stalk portion of palm tree. Portions of these fibers are alkali treated while the remaining kept raw. Both these fibers are sandwiched separately with glass fibers to form two set of plates by reinforcing into polyester resin matrix blend with coconut shell powder using hand lay-up method. Specimens are tested as per ASTM standards. The results reveal that alkali treatment improved fiber quality and a novel composite was developed to producing automobile parts.
