MEMS based humidity sensor with integrated temperature sensor using Si cantilever beam for harsh environmental conditions
Sensing and controlling of humidity and temperature is a major issue in various industries. This paper presents the design, fabrication and complete characterization of a Micro Cantilever based Humidity sensor integrated with a temperature sensor. A Si Cantilever based Humidity Sensor on capacitive principle is designed and various analyses were performed on the sensor. Platinum heater used in the humidity sensor is used for the vaporization of the moisture absorbed. The heater along with two gold electrodes can act as a temperature sensor so that the temperature variations can be easily detected. The temperature sensor was designed using Platinum and is of Resistance Temperature Detector {RTD} type. The temperature sensor is provided with two gold electrodes on each side. One of the electrodes is maintained at 5V DC and the other at 0V DC, enabling a current flow through the Platinum layer. When the temperature changes, the resistivity of the Platinum changes accordingly. This causes a change in the current flow through the temperature sensor. The sensor is designed in a structure that can tolerate the harsh environmental variations like pressure, temperature.

Comparing the accuracy of classification algorithms for automatic medical image annotation using by an improved local binary pattern
Automatic annotation is in fact the process of classifying medical using global and local features of standard image codes (IRMA) while being extracted. This includes four technical data axes of providing image (modality), direction, anatomy, and biological system. A number of recent researches have been conducted on the extraction of the local binary pattern texture features for automatic annotation, but until now no complete comparison has been conducted on the accuracy of the different classifications in resolution and annotation of the images based on the local binary pattern texture features. The results from the known and famous classifiers used on the four characteristics of anatomy, direction, biological system and modality are presented in this paper, which show that Sequential Minimal Optimization is the most efficient classification group as far as accuracy is concerned.

Design and simulation of DRA for millimeter wave applications
In this paper, a compact, low cost and high radiation efficiency antenna structure, planar waveguide, substrate integrated waveguide (SIW), dielectric resonator antennas (DRA) design using Advanced Design System (ADS) tool is presented. Since SIW is a high Q waveguide and DRA is a low loss radiator, then SIW-DRA forms an excellent antenna system with high radiation efficiency at millimeter-waveband, where the conductor loss dominates. The impact of different antenna parameters on the antenna performance is studied. Experimental data for SIW-DRA, based on two different slot orientations, at millimeter-wave band are introduced and compared to validate this antenna model. The measured gain for SIW-DRA single element showed a broadside gain of 5.51 dB. The Return Loss/Reflection coefficient is found to be -48.617 dB at the Cut off frequency 33.02 GHz.

Prediction of Osteoporosis using Soft Computing Techniques: A Review
Osteoporosis is one of the unpredictable disease, in which the micro architecture of bones becomes weak due to the low bone mineral density. Today this disease is very common amongst old people aged more than 50 years. This common public health problem has no symptoms and only technique available to diagnose is dual-energy x-ray absorptiometry (DEXA) scan. Generally bone mineral density (BMD) can be measured using DEXA, which is compared against the standard BMD values for diagnoses. The availability of DEXA machine in a country like India is a serious issue, because of its high cost and the high percentage of population living in rural areas with limited health care facilities. Here, our aim is to detect this disease on the basis of patient’s medical history without the necessity of DEXA scans report; so that it becomes feasible for the Indian population. For this proposed work will try to implement various Soft computing techniques which are available now- a- days.

Object tracking based on particle filter and feature adaptation based on SIFT
In this paper Particle filter and SIFT algorithm are combined for moving objects tracking. SIFT key points constitute parts of particles to improve the distribution sample. The work, experiments of this study are performed using a movie from a soccer match. First, the ball is selected in the first frame by removing the background. Afterwards, key points are extracted via SIFT algorithm which are combined with particle filter. The particle filter algorithm tracks the ball till it is inside the scene.

Securing Broker-Less Publish/Subscribe Systems Using Identity-Based Encryption
Identification approach to provide authentication and confidentiality in a broker-less and confidentiality are the main objective of any distributed system the pub/sub system. Our approach allows subscribers to maintain credentials according to their subscriptions. Private keys assigned to the subscribers are labeled with the credentials. A publisher associates each encrypted event with a set of credentials. We adapted identity-based encryption (IBE) mechanisms 1) to ensure that a particular subscriber can decrypt an event only if there is a match between the credentials associated with the event and the key; and 2) to allow subscribers to verify the authenticity of received events. 1) Extensions of the cryptographic methods to provide efficient routing of encrypted events by using the idea of searchable encryption, 2) “Multicredential routing” a new event dissemination strategy which strengthens the weak subscription confidentiality, and 3) a thorough analysis of different attacks on subscription confidentiality.

MEMS comb drive sensor for osteoarthritis diagnosis
Osteoarthritis (OA) is the most common musculoskeletal disorder worldwide. Knee and hip joints are most commonly affected by OA, and their impact on public health is remarkable. The effects of OA on an individual are also considerable. The symptoms of OA, such as pain and stiffness of the joints and muscle weakness, are serious risk factors for mobility limitation and impaired quality of life. Osteoarthritis begins in the cartilage and eventually leads to the two opposing bones eroding into each other. Laboratory tests (using X-rays) for rheumatologic problems lack the sensitivity and specificity to allow their use as screening tools. Diagnosis is the critical challenge in MEMS research. This paper deals with the design of capacitive comb drive sensor for diagnosing joint-cartilage disorder including the degradation of joints and inflammation. The comparison between various stages of osteoarthritis leads to the diagnosis

Design of NLMS adaptive filter architecture using backend VLSI technology
The proposed NLMS techniques have been modeled using Verilog HDL; the models have been verified using test benches with a functional coverage of 95%. The results obtained have been compared with MATLAB results, which are considered to be a benchmark. The HDL (Hardware Description Language) code is synthesized using Synopsys Design Compiler targeting 130-nanometer TSMC (Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company) library and target technology. The synthesized netlist obtained for all the adaptive filtering techniques proposed in this research work is taken through physical design flow consisting of Floorplanning Placement and Routing steps. The results obtained at each step are simulated for the functionality. The final GDSII (Graphical Design Standard II) file is generated for the proposed techniques.. The floor planning, placement and routing of the netlist ensures that the overall size for the entire chip does not exceed by 2.15 Square millimeters. The results obtained for NLMS adaptive filtering techniques using pipelining, parallel processing, low power techniques and floating point architectures have proven that the complexities in the industrial applications can be met if the design is implemented on ASIC.

Artificial neural trend analysis package of telemetry tracking and command network for linux workstation system
A satellite has many supporting subsystems like sensors, solar panels, thrusters, thermal control system, reaction wheels, batteries, etc. These subsystems are integral and functional parts of a satellite that serve different purposes. For example, batteries supply power during eclipse time, thermal control system maintains an optimum temperature; thrusts are used to maintain satellite attitude and orbit. The subsystem must be in good condition and help the satellite to perform mission operation. Therefore the subsystems are analyzed to determine whether they are in good condition or not or showing a tendency to degrade. To do this analysis, archive data files are used, these files contains actual information about the subsystems. The subsystems are represented in the data files as parameters. The checking manifestations of the satellite health status are carried out to yield exact result. Based on these results further steps that facilitate the continuity of the satellite activities are implemented. Thus the spacecraft analysis is a vital activity and one of the objectives of “Telemetry Tracking and Command Network” for space research organizations among various other activities out to provide uninterrupted space services. The purpose of this research is to develop application software for analyzing spacecraft data and provide trend analysis package to benefit spacecraft subsystem specialists and designers at various centers of space research connected by Space NET.
