Fresh graduates entrants to the working world
Way back in 1990s having a degree or a diploma is basically a ticket for a fresh graduate to enter the working world successfully. However the scenario has changed with the number of graduates who completes their degree has increased year after year. This research aims to study the significant of soft skill and confidence level which a graduate has in securing a job. The findings of the study will assist academicians and students to seek ways to improve soft skills and confidence abilities in students before they graduate. Questionnaires will be distributed to three hundred students who have graduated from UiTM Perlis,UiTM Kedah and UiTM P. Pinang. Samples will be controlled to eliminate inappropriate elements contained in the sampling frame.

Influence of vermicompost in root- knot nematode management as a function of soil fortification
Green house experiment was conducted to explore the influence of different concentrations of Vermicompost in root–knot nematode management against Meloidogyne incognita infecting Cluster bean Cyamposis tetragonaloba. Vermicompost fortification treatment resulted in reduced nematode infection and increased growth characteristics such as shoot – root length and shoot – root weight. With the increase of concentration of Vermicompost corresponding increase noticed in growth characteristics of treated plants. Vermicompost fortified plants showed increment in sugar, protein and lipid over untreated control. Increment of these metabolites reflects treated plants were metabolically cope up the infection and promoting excessive plant growth. In vitro studies of hatching trials revealed significant reduction in larval emergence. The percent reduction of larval emergence showed a significant positive correlation with increased concentration of Vermicompost. Vermicompost treatment significantly affects the soil population of nematode which again reflects a dosage dependent phenomenon. Present investigation confirms Vermicompost as an excellent growth promoters and potential prophylactic agent.

Bioefficacy of azolla pinnata as a function of soil amendment in rooy-knot nematode management
Studies on pathogenecity of Meloidogyne incognita on Green gram, Phaseolus aureus were carried out in relation to different concentration of Azolla pinnata, a biofertilizer with reference to growth parameters of host plant and reproductive parameters of nematode pathogen. Amendments of Azolla resulted reduction in nematode infection and increment in growth characteristics of host plant. Azolla treated plants showed excessive shoot and root growth over infected untreated control plants. The growth increment was directly proportional to the dosage of Azolla amendments Reproductive parameters studied were also significantly affected by Azolla treatment. A progressive reduction in root – knot index, number of egg masses, eggs/egg mass, soil population and reproductive factor was recorded in different concentration of Azolla treatment. Alteration in protein content of plant tissue in response to Azolla treatment reveals that plants were put up resistance against nematode infection.

Effects of use of ICT: students’ perception at higher education level
This study was conducted to investigate the perceptions of male and female students about effects of use of Information and Communication Technology. The research study was a descriptive in its nature. The targeted population was the male and female students of the public sector universities. The purposive sampling technique was used to gather data from the faculty of social sciences of two public sector universities. Data were collected by administering a questionnaire that based on Likert- five point scales. The data were tabulated, analyzed and interpreted. The Chi Square and Mean score were applied to analyze the data. Present study showed the results that Role of Information Communication and Technology is very important to improve learning. Both type of respondents agreed that ICT is an agent of change. Information and Communication Technology helps to integrate the learning and technology. Information and Communication Technology enhances communication ability in students.

Line loss minimization and voltage regulation using UPFC
This paper presents a method for achieving line loss minimization and voltage regulation in the given power system. In order to achieve these two objectives simultaneously, the Unified Power Flow Controller (UPFC) is used. UPFC can be used for load voltage regulation and total active power loss minimization in electric power systems at the same time. In this paper, the injection model of UPFC (Unified Power Flow Controller) is used to investigate its effects on bus voltages and loss reduction in a power system.

Impact of public debt on foreign direct investment in Pakistan: a quantitative approach
Foreign direct investment (FDI) considered vital for economic development of capital scarce countries, as it provides not only financial assistance but also capital, technology, new jobs, management skill and expertise. Contemporary, FDI is considered a most important source of private external inflows of capital for less developed countries almost in all over the world. Total FDI inflows into Pakistan recorded US$ 3205.4 million during 2008-09 as compared to US$ 3719.1 million in the last year which shows a decline of 13.8%. Likewise Pakistan’s total public debt estimated US$ 39593 million during 2007-08 and such as during 2006-07 per capita debt in Pakistan was US$ 247 million. For empirical analysis secondary data have been used ranging from 1981 to 2007. For estimating the impact of public debt on FDI, simple log linear regression model and the method of Least Squares has been used. The empirical results found statistically significant and indicates that public debt discourages FDI inflows into Pakistan. Thus, it has been concluded, that public debt be managed, through active and proper debt management policy, in order to utilize the maximum benefits of FDI in Pakistan.

Numerical strategy of the harmonic oscillators using single-term HAAR wavelet series
In this article an interesting and famous realistic problem harmonic oscillators is discussed using the single-term Haar wavelet series (STHW) method. The results (approximate solutions) obtained very accurate using classical Runge-Kutta (RK) method, single-term Walsh Series (STWS) and STHW methods are compared with the ODE45 in Matlab. It is found that the solution obtained using STHW is closer to the ODE45 in Matlab. The high accuracy and the wide applicability of STHW approach will be demonstrated with numerical example. Solution graphs for discrete exact solutions are presented in a graphical form to show the efficiency of the STHW. The results obtained show that STHW is more useful for solving harmonic oscillators and the solution can be obtained for any length of time.

Early marriage and premenopause as a risk factor for breast cancer
Cancer is currently the cause of 12% of all deaths worldwide. The number of cancer deaths annually will increase from about 6 million to 10 million. Breast cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer in women worldwide, with nearly 1 000 000 new cases diagnosed per year, and the second leading cause of cancer deaths in women worldwide. The causes of breast cancer remain largely unknown, but certain reproductive and hormonal factors are clearly related to risk. It is reported that one in 22 women in India is likely to suffer from breast cancer during her lifetime. The medical records of 300 patients treated at the Mahavir Cancer Institute and research Centre for breast cancer between 2005 and 2008 with perspective age of marriage and menstrual status were reviewed. In present study we can observe that breast cancer cases were more found in pre menopausal women i.e.: 55% than post menopausal women i.e.: 45%. Mean age of marriage is very earlier, which indicate that early marriage may be a causative factor for breast cancer. Thus it is concluded that early age marriage is risk factor for breast cancer as well as pre menopausal women are at higher risk for breast cancer.

Design of remote EB metering system with Arm controller
This paper emphasis the automatic remote EB metering system using the existing GSM technology to reduce the human intervention, in order to save invaluable man time and to reduce the cost. This is fast, accurate and time saving. Though both analog and digital meters are widely used, in this work the existing analog reading meter with additional circuitry of IR sensor is used for demonstration. Nowadays GSM network is not only used mere mobile conversation, its applications are countless. At the end of every month or the date programmed in the controller, the actual readings (units consumed) will be sent to the consumer by the SMS (Short Messaging Services). ARM microcontroller has been programmed to govern all these works. A prototype system has been developed for experimentation.

The new integral transform “Tarig Transform “properties and applications to differential equations
A new integral transform similar to Laplace and Sumudu transforms is introduced, to explain the use of Tarig transform in differential equations, an example of first and second order linear differential equations are presented. In this work we show that the applicability of this interesting new transform its very efficiency to solving differential equations with constant coefficients.
