Contemporary christian music and the faith of seventh-day adventist adherents in Kisumu East Sub-County
One of the major concerns that Christian churches in Africa face today is the issue of church music and worship styles. The general purpose of this study was to examine the effects of Contemporary Christian Music on the faith of the adherents of SDA Church members in Kisumu East Sub-county. The objectives of this study were: Establish the standard of the SDA criteria of good Church music, Identify the difference between music of the SDA church and CCM that are incorporated in the SDA churches in Kisumu East Sub-county, Examine the effects of CCM on the faith of the adherents of SDA Church members in Kisumu East Sub-county and Determine the response given by church members on the use of CCM in SDA churches in Kisumu East Sub-county. The theoretical framework was anchored on secularization theory which tries to explain postmodernism. This theory puts emphasis on a con-junction of cultural conditions, structural changes, and specific historical events. Descriptive research design was adopted for this study. The study population was 2132 adherents comprising of both adults and the young people in Kisumu East in Kisumu County. Proportional sampling was used. A sample of 322 is recommended by Morgan and Krejcie for the total population of 2132.This study utilized purposive sampling to select 8 Choir Leaders and 1 Pastor due to their roles. The sample therefore comprised a total of 78 key informants. Interviews, group discussion and questionnaires were used to collect data from the sampled respondents. The test-retest approach was used to determine the reliability of the research instruments and validity of the instruments was ascertained by presenting the questionnaires and interview guide to experts who are authorities in the study area for scrutiny and advice on the instruments. Qualitative thematic analysis was the main method adopted in analyzing data. The researcher found out that despite the original music that congregations sing with use of hymnal books the current practice in worship is contrary. The lives of those who accept this responsibility must be as distinctive as their message. This study concluded that there is need for total commitment by each church member to the ideals and objectives of the Church. Such commitment will affect every department of church life and will certainly influence the music used by the Church in fulfillment of its God-given commission. Therefore the study recommended that Efforts should be made by the local church leaders and conference leaders to train more choir leaders taking them to church seminars to learn more and in turn teach their members. To this end the trained music personnel should be used in musical training and activities so that the lofty ideals of worship be effectively promoted.

Cricket Injuries among Bangladeshi Female Cricketers
Cricket is known as the most popular sports in Bangladesh. Female participation in professional cricket is increasing day by day. The Present study was conducted to find out the cricket injuries & its related pattern among injured female cricketers. A cross-sectional study was carried out by a self-constructed questionnaire. 51 injured female cricketer comprising 21 Bowlers, 21 Batsmen & 9 Wicket keepers were included in this study. The maximum age range was 18 to 20 years old (56.9%) where a greater percentage of participants had 4 years of cricket experience. Results indicated that Bowlers are more prone to injury than any other cricketing role. Shoulder, Elbow, & Ankle injury were founded as the high prevalence of injury compares to other anatomical sites of injury. Senior female cricketers were reported more likely to experience a recurrence injury than junior cricketers. Proper Knowledge about the mechanism of injury & its related factors might help to reduce the prevalence of injury.

Critical Analysis of television serial Buddha as a Didactic Discourse
This research seeks to critically analyse the portrayal of the life of Gautama Buddha in the Zee TV serial Buddha telecast from 2013. The television serial presents itself as a didactic religious discourse and for the first time it offers to present Buddha’s teachings on the small screen. Through the narrative, the show successfully attempts to answer some of the fundamental questions which are essentially sought after by anyone on the path of eternal truth, like what is reality, what is one supposed to do in life, what is life, who are we, what is our goal of existence. The research also investigates the various ways in which the text serves to express spirituality in an approachable manner. It intends to look at how the show contributes to the first representation of Buddha on the small screen. The aspects explored do not include portrayal of characters and the acting prowess of the cast.

Crowdfunding: A new mode of entrepreneurial financing
This study aims to bring forth some interesting research findings on an emerging field of entrepreneurial financing i.e. crowdfunding by focusing on the some recent advancement in the academic research. Since the inception of world’s pioneer crowdfunding platforms namely: Kickstarter, the scholars have turned their attentions towards this new emergent field of entrepreneurial finance. In crowdfunding, a vast number of people contribute in small proportions towards novel or innovative projects by using internet platforms. This study reveals that till now the research on crowdfunding mechanism has focused on developed markets; while the studies from developing markets are rare. Lastly, this study points out some interesting research gaps and provides future research directions.

Decision of Intuitionistic Fuzzy Soft Matrix In Weighted Harmonic Mean
In this work, we explore the fuzzy soft matrix and their operations. In this report, we define intuitionistic fuzzy soft matrices and have inserted some new operators with weights. We then prove fuzzy soft algorithm that allows constructing those efficient decision making methods. In the end, we throw an example on the weighted harmonic mean for decision making problems. It indicates that the method can be successfully employed to many problems that contain uncertainties.

Design and Execute a Real Time Distant Monitoring System
This paper is based on a real time embedded system using ARM7 processor LPC2138 to build a system that helps in achieving remote monitoring of patient's physiological parameters such as Body Temperature, Pulse Rate, Oxygen Saturation in blood and Electronic Cardiogram. If any of the patient's parameters go out of the optimum limits of the human body then an alert SMS is sent to the doctor using a GSM interface and the buzzer is activated on the patient's side to alert the patient's caretaker. The system comprises of low cost transducers for acquiring the parameters and uses MATLAB software to build the GUI for displaying the ECG of the patient on a computer. This system eases the need to keep a patient requiring continuous monitoring at the hospital. The monitoring is achieved by allowing the patient to stay at home.

Design of parallel vector/scalar floating pointco-processor for FPGAs
Current FPGA soft processor systems use dedicated hardware modules or accelerators to speed up data-parallel applications. This work explores an alternative approach of using a soft vector processor as a general-purpose accelerator. Due to the complexity and expense of floating point hardware, these algorithms are usually converted to fixed point operations or implemented using floating-point emulation in software. As the technology advances, more and more homogeneous computational resources and fixed function embedded blocks are added to FPGAs and hence implementation of floating point hardware becomes a feasible option. In this research we have implemented a high performance, autonomous floating point vector co-processor (FPVC) that works independently within an embedded processor system. We have presented a unified approach to vector and scalar computation, using a single register file for both scalar operands and vector elements. The FPVC is completely autonomous from the embedded processor, exploiting parallelism and exhibiting greater speedup than alternative vector processors. The FPVC supports scalar computation so that loops can be executed independently of the main embedded processor.

Designing the Structural Model of Human Resource Management to Achieve Organizational Loyalty
This study investigates the design of the structural model of human resource management in the yeast industry of country. The population of this study is all the employees of the state (1145 people) which 288 people were selected using the probable sampling method of class and using the Cochran formula for samples. Data were collected with the help of questionnaire and their analysis was carried out by conducting structural equation test and factor analysis in Amos software. The results show that there is positive and meaningful relation between human resource management systems, job satisfaction and organizational loyalty. Job satisfaction also plays an intermediary factor between human resource management and organizational loyalty. Therefore, managers are offered to pay attention to the effective role of human capital in advancing organizational excellence in the design of their strategic goals, and to engage employees in the different decision-making to be consistent with the desire to participate in organizational activities and loyalty.

Development of a Peroxidase-Based Assay for Assessment of Heavy Metals in Aqueous Samples
The assessment of heavy metals (Hg, Cu, Pb and Cd) by means of a Peroxidase - based assay is here presented. The method is based the inhibition of peroxidase activity by heavy metals. Measurements were made spectrophotometrically via the catalytic oxidation of guaiacol in the presence of H2O2. Preliminary characterization and optimization of the assay system revealed enzyme activity of 130 U/ml, Vmax of 0.178mM/min and Km of 0.184mM. Optimal reaction time was found to be 7 minutes; optimal pH was 6 and temperature was 40°C. Inhibition-based estimation of heavy metal ions was evaluated via calibration curves of metal concentration against %inhibition of peroxidase activity. The assay revealed detection limits between 0.006 – 0.045mg/L for the metals and repeatability in the range of 2.3 – 5.4% RSD. Application of the method to water analysis revealed percentage recoveries between 76.0 – 124.0%. Overall, the method showed good potential for further use in the biomonitoring of heavy metal pollutants

Diatomic flora of the Djubudjubu stream in the Kisangani region
This study concerned the study of the diatomic flora of the Djubudjubu stream in the urban region of Kisangani (Tshopo/ DRC). Samples were taken at the source, in the middle and at the outfall of the stream. The results obtained revealed a great diversity of 119 species, 38 genera distributed in 24 families. The source contained many species (51 species) than the other stations. The Shannon and Weaver biodiversity indices revealed a great diversity. The Evenness index showed an equipartition of species. The species Pinnularia sp8 and Nitzschia palea are the most abundant (13.68 and 10.25% respectively). The specific relative abundance is very high at the source (42.69%) than at the other stations. The different groupings of species and samples depend on their environment having similar ecological conditions at the different stations.
