Elliptic curve cryptography (ECC) plays an important role in communication and information security. ECC is an approach to public-key cryptography based on the finite fields. We propose a hardware architecture for scalar multiplication, which is the main operation of ECC based on mixed coordinates (Lopez-Dahab) over GF(2163) in the Karatsuba multiplication polynomial representation. The proposed design is implemented using Verilog as a language and Xilinx virtex4Vlx15sf363-12 as a target device, and it is verified in Model Sim 6.3g. The results show that the proposed design occupies 30k slices with a delay of 35.086 ns.

This study investigated ideological and cultural aspects of literary translation by specifically focusing on the analysis of the textual features of a literary source text, namely, Morier’s Adventures of Hajji Baba of Ispahan, a novel originally published in English in 1823, and its corresponding translated target text, namely, Sargozašt-e ??ji B?b?-ye E?fah?ni, rendered into Persian by Mirza ?abib I?fahani in the 1880s. Employing Halliday’s (1985) systemic functional linguistics (SFL) as well as Venuti’s “domesticating/ foreignizing” dichotomy for the analysis and assessment of translated works, the researchers analyzed the TT by accounting for the sets of constraints within which the expression of ideology and cultural elements take place. In order to indicate the translator’s ideological orientations, the study concentrated on the analysis of a number of textual features, namely, “nominalizations”, “voice shifts”, “modality shifts”, “agency shifts”, “expansions”, “contractions”, and “thematic progressions”. Domestication and foreignization strategies in the translated text have also been investigated to see if the translator had to apply any of the two strategies especially in translating cultural elements. The study finally comes up with the conclusion that the TT has been under the influence of ideological and cultural manipulations by the translator in order to conform to the target culture’s textual and social values.

The territory of Republic of Armenia is considered as a high-risk zone of agricultural production. According to approximate calculations, damage to agriculture as a result of natural disasters in various years reaches 15-20 billion AMD (410 AMD=1$ USA), while in most disastrous year it also exceeds. Given these circumstances, we come to the conclusion that the agricultural sector is needed to establish on effective system of insurance, in addition to the process of insurance provided by the state’s direct participation in the process of implementation of agricultural insurance. In our opinion, the agricultural insurance will significantly contribute to the guaranteed production of the agricultural products, will reduce agricultural losses, will minimize the degree of risks, which will stimulate the development of this sector.

Sixteen (16) yearling West African Dwarf Sheep were used to assess body weight gain, feed intake and haematological indices as influenced by the four dietary treatments. The average weight gain of sheep fed supplemental diets were 2.70±0.09kg in Gliricidia sepium, 2.80±0.09kg in Moringa oleifera and 3.15±0.45kg in Gliricidia sepium + Moringa oleifera compared to 1.57±0.10kg for sheep fed basal diet only. The average weight gains in sheep fed supplemental diets were significantly (P<0.05) higher than sheep fed only the basal diets. The linear body measurement gain such as heart girth gain were 11.00±1.73cm in Gliricidia sepium, 8.67±2.08cm in Moringa oleifera, 13.34±1.04cm in Gliricidia sepium + Moringa oleifera compared to 8.33±0.58cm for sheep fed basal diet only. The heart girth gains of sheep fed supplemental diets were significantly (P<0.05) higher than sheep fed basal diets only. The height at whither gains were 8.55±4.04cm in Gliricidia sepium, 9.00±4.36cm in Moringa oleifera, 9.00±1.00cm in Gliricidia sepium + Moringa oleifera compared to 6.33±1.53cm for sheep fed Panicum+cassava peels only. The height whither gains of sheep fed supplemental diets were significantly (P<0.05) higher than sheep fed control diets. The body length gains were 8.00±1.73cm in Gliricidia sepium, 10.00±3.61cm in Moringa oleifera, 10.66±3.06cm in Gliricidia sepium + Moringa oleifera compared to 11.66±5.13cm for sheep fed basal diet only. The body length gains in sheep fed supplemental diets were significantly (P<0.05) higher than sheep fed basal diets. The haematological parameters such as packed cell volume (31.50 – 32.50 %), red blood cells (9.85 – 10.17 X106mm-1), haemoglobin concentration (9.97 – 10.07g 100mm-1), Erythocyte sedimentation rate (0.62 – 0.34), mean Corpuscular haemoglobin (0.99 – 1.08 pg), mean corpuscular volume (3.15 – 3.29µm3), Eosinophils (3.00 – 4.25%), Basophils (0.50 – 1.00 %), Monocytes (6.50 – 8.75%), Lymphocyte (60.00 – 65.25%), Neutrophils (21.25 – 31.25%) of animals fed supplemental diets were significantly (P<0.05) higher than animals fed Panicum-cassava peels ration. From all indications, sheep fed supplemental diets had better growth performance and were haematological stable than sheep fed basal diet only.

The role of reservoir in causing landslides and also in reactivating old landslides due to difference in hydraulic action has been very common around the world. The present study is an attempt to divide the area around tehri reservoir into various landslide susceptible zones. The result obtained after superimposing the active landslide and lanslideslide hazard zonation shows that there is strong correlation between these slides with high and very high landslides hazard zone area. On the whole it is clear that the density of landslides increases from very low to very high class. The quantative analysis of the data shows that more than 80% of the total landslide area existed in moderate and high hazard zone classified area. In spite of the scarcity of the data the hazard zonation assessment is helpful to mask out the area highly vulnerable to landslide which in turn is helpful for short-term and long-term plan before initiating any sort of development activities in the tehri rim area. The objective of the present study is to investigate thermal diffusion and radiation effects on unsteady MHD flow past a linearly accelerated vertical plate with variable temperature and also with variable mass diffusion in presence of heat source or sink under the influence of applied transverse magnetic field. The fluid considered here is a gray, absorbing/ emitting radiation but a non-scattering medium. At time t>0, the plate is linearly accelerated with a velocity in its own plane. And at the same time, plate temperature and concentration levels near the plate raised linearly with time t. The dimensionless governing equations involved in the present analysis are solved using the closed analytical method. The velocity, temperature, concentration, Skin-friction, Nusselt number and Sherwood number are discussed through graphs in terms of different physical parameters like magnetic field parameter (M), permeability parameter (K), radiation parameter (R), Schmidt parameter (Sc), Soret number (So), Heat source parameter (H), Prandtl number (Pr), thermal Grashof number (Gr), mass Grashof number (Gm) and time (t).

Fatigue cracking and rutting contribute significantly to the failure of asphalt pavement. In the design of asphalt pavement, it is necessary to investigate these critical strains and design against them. In Nigeria, the only developed design method for asphalt pavement is the California Bearing Ratio (CBR) method. Most of the roads designed using the CBR method failed soon after construction by fatigue cracking and rutting deformation. This study was conducted to develop a modified Nigeria CBR procedure for low volume asphalt pavement adopting the layered elastic analysis procedure which involves selection of materials and layer thickness for specific traffic conditions such that fatigue cracking and rutting deformations are minimized. Analysis were performed for hypothetical asphalt pavement sections using the layered elastic analysis program EVERSTRESS. Regression equations were developed for predicting pavement thickness in cement-stabilized base, low-volume asphalt pavement. The result was validated by comparing calculated maximum fatigue and rutting strains developed using the modified procedure and measured strain data from the Kansa Accelerated Testing Laboratory (K-ATL). The calculated and measured fatigue and rutting strain were calibrated and compared using linear regression analysis. The calibration of calculated and measured fatigue and rutting strains resulted in R2 of 0.999 and 0.994 respectively for subgrade modulus of 31MPa, 0.997 and 0.997 respectively for subgrade modulus of 41MPa, 0.996 and 0.999 respectively for subgrade modulus of 62MPa, 0.992 and 0.995 respectively for subgrade modulus of 72MPa, 0.999 and 0.998 respectively for subgrade modulus of 93MPa, and 0.999 and 0.999 respectively for subgrade modulus of 103MPa indicating that the coefficients of determination were found to be very good.
