This paper presents a study on the selection and optimization of the elevator system for commercial buildings. Since the elevator industry began in 1853, elevators become more and more common in people’s daily life. Now, elevator system design is an important part of commercial building service design. A good elevator system can contribute marks for the performance of commercial building. This study includes an assessment of the utilization of this vertical transportation to run the daily matters of the building productively and safely according to the regulations and standards. In addition, it will also look into the method to arrange the transportation in a building which has high-flow of people. 1st Avenue Penang, Malaysia is chosen as the observation site in this study. It is hoped that this study will provide some useful insight on the transportation system (elevators) in the commercial building.

Worms can be classified into various categories; one among them is active worms. These active worms pose a vital security threats to the internet especially in social networks. Defending against such active worms are not as easy as other types of worms. Active worms propagate in an automatic fashion such that it can infect as many as clients. In this paper we evaluate a special type of active worm, called muffle worm (M-worm in short). The m-worm is different from any other worms, for it goes undetected when the scan process encountered. The m-worm identifies the vulnerable clients in the social networks and infects the client. Once the client is infected, then the infected host scans for the other vulnerable clients and infects the client. We studied the comprehensive characteristics of the m-worm and provide the secure computing in the social networks. The scheme that we propose detects the m-worm from where it has been propagated and the current location of the worm. Once the origin of the m-worm is identified, the client that spread the m-worm can be disconnected from the social networks (Blocking). Thus the secure computing can be obviously provided in the networks. Still if the misbehaved client wishes to participate in the communicating network, which would be done by authenticating the corresponding client. The proposed scheme proves that it could provide secure computing in the social networks.

Plant extracts of various parts viz., seeds, leaves, bark, roots and seeds have been used for water puri?cation for many centuries. According to UNICEF about 15 % population of the world is facing safe drinking water problem and 5 million people died once a year (WHO, 2006). Different plant parts of Strychnos potatorum, Tamerindous indica, Cyamopsis psoraloides, Hibisicus sabdariffa, Trigonella foenum, and Lens esculenta have been conducted using raw water with turbidity that ranged from 50 to 7500 NTU (Nephelometric Turbidity Units). The activity of Lantana leaves were tested by two experiments. In experiment 1 colony count and turbidity methods was followed whereas in experiment 2 only colony count method was followed. The increasing concentration from 1-10 reduced the bacterial growth and turbidity also decreased with increase the concentration.

This research studies the surface modification of poly (ethylene terephthalate) (PET) fabric that was induced by DC plasma discharge for nanosiliver treatments. At first, DC plasma discharge was employed systematically as a function of plasma device parameters under different operating conditions including different time, different current and different hydrostatic pressure employing chemically inert argon or nitrogen as a working gas. The optimization of the best of these parameters were performed by the measurements and evaluation of mechanical properties, air permeability and water absorbency, Electron Spin Resonance (ESR) and the surface morphological changes of pretreated polyester fabrics were observed by Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) photographic analysis , Then the pretreated PET fabric with plasma by the best conditions are subjected to nanosilver treatment by two different silver concentrations .The antibacterial activity of plasma treated and /or nanosilver treated PET against gram positive bacteria (Staphylococcus aurous) and gram negative bacteria(Escherichia coli) were examined. The results obtained showed that both the hydrophilicity and antibacterial behaviours against gram positive bacteria (Staphylococcus aurous) and gram negative bacteria(Escherichia coli) were highly improved by the treatment of fabric by either individual or combined DC cold plasma or nanosilver treatments.

Emerging development in mobile learning and technology has offer great opportunity in education. The flexibility and reliability of mobile devices allow us to meet new pedagogical innovation in the education field. In this study, the use of SMS-based learning system (m-learning) towards full time Management students' motivation have been analyzed. A quantitative analysis was used to identify is there existed a significant difference on students' motivation between IMMS 1 and IMMS 2. Keller's (1983) ARCS model was widely applied to designed and developed the course content and Instructional Material Motivational Survey (IMMS) has been used to collect the data. Paired samples t-test was carried out to scrutinize is there existed a significant difference on students' motivation between IMMS 1 and IMMS 2. The findings illustrated that, there is existed difference between mean scores of students' motivation of IMMS 1 and IMMS 2 and a significant difference between relevance and satisfaction after the implementation of the SMS based learning.

A rapid, sensitive reversed phase stability-indicating high-performance liquid chromatographic (HPLC) assay method was developed and validated for quantitative determination of carmustine in bulk drugs and the degradation products generated from forced degradation. A gradient, reversed phase HPLC method was developed to separate the drug from the degradation products, using an YMC ODS-A C18 (250mm x 4.6) mm,5u column and the Mobile phase-A 0.01 M Potassium dihydrogen phosphate in water, adjust PH 3.2 with orthophosphuric acid and mobile phase-B methanol was used as mobile phase. The detection was carried out at wavelength 230 nm and 205 nm. The chromatographic resolution between its degraded products was found to be greater than two. The carmustine was subjected to stress conditions of acid, base, oxidation (30 % H2O2), thermal degradation and photolytic degradation. The degradation was observed for carmustine in alkali, acid and in thermal hydrolysis. The mass balance was close to 100 in all the stress conditions. The degraded products were well resolved from main peak. The developed method was validated with respect to linearity, accuracy, recovery, precision, system suitability, selectivity, robustness and forced degradation studies prove the stability indicating ability of the method.

Match analysis is a major subject among coaches, team managers and sport scientists and it is gaining an increasing relevance day by day. Information and the relevant data processing are the key factors while referring to this aspect of the sports training methodology. In India Kabaddi is a major sport, which is played all over the India. The present study attempts to design and develop a digital match analysis system for Kabaddi matches. The data were collected during South Zone Inter-University Kabaddi tournament for men 2010-2011 held at Karnataka University, Dharward was used for analysis. After getting various inputs from experts and literature, the investigators had designed and developed a digital match analysis system. A survey was conducted among 15 Coaches, Physical Educators, Players and officials which revealed that the 16 factors which are essential for analysing the performance of the team & individual. This study was a preliminary work and needs testing at all levels. It was also concluded that the result of the study may be very much helpful to the Physical Educationists and Coaches in enhancing the performance level of the Kabaddi players. The outcome of the study may act as a tool to analyse the team & individual performance in the game of Kabaddi.

The paper investigates the interaction among foreign remittance, banking sector development and GDP in four South Asian nations that export huge pools of labour abroad. Multivariate Granger causality tests, based on error correction models, are employed with data spanning from 1990 to 2010. A key finding of the paper is that remittances and banking sector development influence per capita income in all four South Asian nations. In addition, interactions among the variables are also examined in a panel setting. As in individual country analyses, both remittance and banking sector development have positive and significant influences on the national income of Nepal. On the other hand, neither domestic products nor advancement in banking sector have significant impact on the remittance flows. This is new findings of the linkage between remittances and economic development, which may also be evident for countries exporting labour pools. Remittance as a major source of foreign currency to the developing nation has become a substantial component of making current account surplus in the balance of payments. It is argued that many workers from Nepal going abroad for employment are no doubt young, energetic, laborious and enthusiastic. They do hard work for earning large remittance income to support their families. However, the downside of remittances reflects the view that remaining young generation for long time outside without family may increase their vulnerability and ultimately it will have a tendency to leave their homeland. Thus, in order to recover the loss of economically active labor force to the domestic economy, they should be encouraged to come back again with skilled knowledge for utilizing their savings and working experience for development to the productive areas in accordance with the priority of the national development plans.

The phenomenal growth of retail in India is reflected in the rapid increase in number of supermarkets, departmental stores and hypermarkets in the country. However, this unperfected growth trend has been challenged by the shadow of the current economic slowdown, which has raised a fear of dip in consumption and slowdown of growth for Indian organized retailers. At a time when consumer spending is on decline, success will lie with those retailers that can drive customer loyalty by responding to the demands of the discerning consumer. This study aims to know the Consumers opinion towards Department Stores in Erode City. Descriptive research design is used in this study and sample was collected from 300 respondents through structured questionnaire. The collected data was tabulated and analyzed using statistical tools like simple percentage method and Chi-square test

Recent advances in Operations Research (OR) and Information Technology (IT) have made it possible to integrate Operations Research techniques and Geographic Information Systems (GIS). This integration can be used for the development of Spatial Decision Support Systems (SDSS).There is an increasing need for incorporation of routing techniques into a Decision Support System (DSS) for making effective business decision making in transportation. GIS can be used to analyze the routes. Route analysis helps us to generate the most efficient route (best route / shortest route) that the vehicle should take between the company and it supply chain link. Alternative routes can also be generated and analyzed. Alternative routes help in rerouting of the supplies in case of problems (either man –made or natural) on one route. Travel speed is used as a proxy, to traffic data to calculate the time taken to reach from origin to destination by the shortest/best route. In this paper a spatial decision support system is developed for route generation.
