Physiochemical parameters of river water and groundwater samples from Morang and Gumani river basin, Jharkhand was assessed to find out their suitability for domestic and irrigation use. Water samples were categorized as Ca2+ – Mg2+ – HCO3- hydro-geochemical facies and cation and anions are mainly derived from the rock. Individual concentration of Na+, Ca2+, Mg2+, K+ , Cl-, F- and SO42+ are within the prescribed limit of WHO and BIS standards. However, NO3- of one groundwater is higher than the permissible limit. River and groundwater is safe for irrigation as per the Soluble Sodium Percentage (SSP) or %Na, Sodium Adsorption Ratio (SAR) and salinity hazard parameter. Magnesium hazard (MH) river water is not suitable for the irrigation and special care needs prior to use.

This paper deals with few fixed point theorem for four mappings and some results on 2-Banach space.

The Objectives of this study were to determine the general (GCA) and specific (SCA) combining abilities and heterosis of some cotton genotypes for yield, its components and fiber traits using line × tester mating design. Thirteen parents (ten lines and three testers) alongwith their thirty F1 crosses were studied in randomized complete block Design (RCBD) with three replications during 2016 at Sakha Agriculture Research Station, Kafr El- Sheikh Governorate, Egypt. Based on line x tester analysis, the variances due to genotypes, parents, crosses and parent vs cross exhibited significant differences (P<0.01) for most yield, yield component and fiber traits. The variances due to GCA of lines and testers, and SCA of line x tester interactions were highly significant for most studied traits, indicating the importance of both additive and non-additive gene actions in controlling these traits. The proportional contribution of line × tester was higher than individual contribution of lines and testers for most studied traits. The estimates of GCA and SCA effects revealed that the parents and some crosses were having desirable and significantly GCA and SCA effects, respectively. High mean performances and desirable GCA effects values were observed of lines Pima S6, Suvin, G.90, Aust. 12 and tester C.B.58 for most investigated traits, hence these parents can be used for generating superior cotton hybrids Significant correlation coefficients (P<0.05 or P<0.01) in positive direction were obtained between all possible pairs of F1 hybrids mean, SCA and heterosis. The best values of mean performances, SCA effects and heterosis were found in the combinations Suvin x G.86 and Aus.12 x C.B.58 for most yield and yield components, and the G.90 x C.B.58 and G.95 x G.86 for fiber traits. These crosses are considered the promising crossed to be used in breeding programs for produce hybrid cotton and improvement for these traits in Egypt.

Solanaceae and Araceae are the important hosts of Phytophathora. Phytophthora infestans is a common facultative saprophytes as well as facultative parasites, one of the most common species of Phytophthora is P. infestans , causing the disease called late blight of Potato or Potato blight. Cool- temperature between 22-23Oc and excess of water favours the growth of this fungus, In Nepal as well as in India, P. infestans is found in the plain and the hilly area. Erwin (1983,1996), Trout et.al. (1997) Gupta (2000) & Gopalan et.al.(2019) studied well P.infestans, while Sharma et.al.(2019) mentioned inter- relationship of Pohyploids of P.infestans with temperature

Hip dislocation is a therapeutic emergency, which results from violent trauma often associated with local or general lesions. Objective: In this study, we aimed to assess the treatment outcome of the follow-up of hip dislocation in Bamako, Mali. In our retrospective study, we recruited patients with traumatic hip dislocation from January 2012 to December 2016 and followed them up at the orthopedic and trauma department of the University Hospital (CHU) Gabriel Toure. In total, 81 patients (69 men and 12 women) with traumatic hip dislocation were included in our study with a sex-ratio of 5.7. The average age was 31.83 years old a standard deviation of 13.68 years old and extremes of 9 years old and 70 years old. Trauma was due to Public Road Accidents in 93.82% of the cases. The most frequent traumatic hip dislocation was anatomo-radiologic type I dislocation from steward and Milfrod with 62.96 %. Associated lesions were noticed in 67.90% of cases. In 97.53% of the patients underwent orthopedic treatment. Patients were followed up for at least a year. Complications were characterized by chronic pain in 48.14%. Outcomes were favorable in 51.85% of cases. Traumatic hip dislocation is common in young people in Mali. It is serious and may engage the functional prognosis of the hip, especially in case of associated lesions. The treatment has to be urgent and appropriate for a better outcome.

Let G be a graph with n vertices. Prime labeling of G is the labeling of the vertices using first n positive integers such that labeling of each pair of adjacent vertices are relatively prime. This work is a generalization of [2] which was analogous to [1] in which prime labeling for complete bipartite graphs were considered. In [2] conditions for the existence of prime labeling of complete tripartite graphs of the form K_(1,m,n) was given where m,n?Z^+. In our work, we have proved that prime labeling of K_(2,m,n) and K_(3,m,n) exists for some values of m and n where m,n?Z^+. Further, few non-existance cases have been discussed.

The study investigates the effect of Staff Socio-Mobility skills on Library Staff Productivity in seven Academic Libraries in South West, Nigeria. The focus of the study is to identify socio-mobility skills of staff, determine the effect of staff socio-mobility skills on staff productivity in these libraries. The sample population consisted of 150 librarians, and a descriptive survey was adopted for the study with the questionnaire used as the main instrument of data collection. However, a total number of 113 copies of the questionnaire were returned, thus giving a response rate of 75%. The findings revealed that majority of the respondents agreed that library resources management has positive effect on their productivity. Librarians at Federal University of Agriculture Abeokuta (FUNAB) have higher productivity than those in each of the other academic libraries. In order to determine the effect of socio-mobility skills on library staff productivity, an hypothesis was formulated and tested and it shows there is no significant effect of staff socio-mobility skills on staff productivity in the selected academic libraries. The study concluded that library staff should be encouraged to attend seminars, trainings, and workshops in order to improve their socio-mobility skills, and librarians should ensure they publish regularly in learned journals to enhance their productivity.

Fish constitutes a very important component in the diets ofboth man and animals as it provides the much needed protein and other nutrients for a healthy living however, it is prone to rapid putrefaction and spoilage. In this study, local spices were applied on hot-smoked African catfish for its preservative tendencies using Response Surface Methodology of Design Expert 6.0.8.Five independent variables consisting of soaking times of 0.0, 7.50, 15.00, 22.50 and 30.0 min; soaking temperatures(30, 35, 40, 45, 50oC); garlic, ginger and turmeric with concentrations of 0.0, 2.50, 5.00, 7.50 and 10.0 g/100ml respectively were investigated. Predictive models for the response variables were developed as a function of process variables. A second-order polynomials obtained to predict the response variables were all significant (p<0.05) with good correlation coefficients (R2) between 0.869 and 0.999 showing that the models can be used to navigate the design space. Selection of the best (optimum) combination of garlic, ginger and turmeric concentrations, extraction temperature and extraction time of 7.29 g/100ml, 7.50 g/100ml, 2.5 g/100ml, 38.65 oC and 7.51 min respectively produced optimized responses in spiced smoked catfish with CP, ash, TP, FRAP, MC, fat and FFA of 65.20%, 8.59%, 2.45 mg/100 g, 20.24 mg/100 g, 2.20%, 11.17% and 0.72% respectively. This successfully established the synergistic effect of local spices on the chemical and antioxidant properties of the hot-smoked catfish

It is now evidently clear that with the emergence of social network and advanced technological messaging functionalities, students in Njala University Department of Physics and Computer Science are more likely to rely on WhatsApp messenger application for their day-to-day communications than any other social networking sites (SNSs). Because of some of the advantages WhatsApp messenger has like cost efficiency, effective, quick and easier mode of communication, confidential, and convenient usage are some of the major factors which might influence their decision to use it. Thus, the objective of the study was to investigate the impact of WhatsApp messenger on the academic performance of students in tertiary institutions (A study of Njala University Department of Physics and Computer Science, School of Technology) in 2014/2015 academic year. Both primary data and secondary data were used. A structured questionnaire was employed to collect data from a sample of 50 students in five different programs within the School of Technology in which 40% were male and 60% were female. The study revealed that majority of respondents used WhatsApp messenger for making friends and chatting. In addition, a majority of respondents experienced negative effects such as poor grammar and spelling, less study time and poor academic performance due to the heavy participation on social media networks. Furthermore, there was a high addiction rate among students in the usage of social media networks especially WhatsApp messenger. Nevertheless, there were cases where others experienced improvement in their readings skills as a result of participation on social media networks. Also, respondents shared ideas, discussed and shared examination questions among themselves on WhatsApp messenger. The study recommended the stringent enforcement of the administration of Njala University rule on electronic device usage in schools, promotion of social media usage for academic purpose, counseling for addicted students and the use of the right grammar and spelling when participating on social networks.
