The Synthesis and functionalization of Zeolite A from Nigerian Ahoko Kaolin for adsorption studies of Methylene blue (MB) was studied in this paper. Zeolite A was successfully synthesised from metakaolin earlier developed from refined kaolin using conventional hydrothermal method. The synthesised zeolite A was thereafter functionalized using Hexamethyltetraamine (HMTA) and characterized. The effect of initial concentration, adsorbate dosage, pH, temperature and contact time were studied in a batch adsorption system for both unfunctionalized zeolite (UFZA) and functionalized zeolite A (FZA) under the following condition of initial concentration of 100 mg/l, temperature of 303 K, and pH of 7. The adsorption rate increases with increase pH, temperature, initial concentration but decrease with adsorbent dosage for both UFZA and FZA. Langmuir, Feundlich and temkim isothermal were also investigated and was found out that Langmuir isotherm is the most suitable. The pseudo–first order and pseudo-second order kinetic equation were evaluated and adsorption of MB onto UFZA and FZA followed the later. The thermodynamic studies indicate that adsorption of MB onto UFZA and FZA are spontaneous and endothermic reaction.

The objective of this paper is to predict the failure load of the composite laminates during tensile loading using an online Acoustic Emission (AE) monitoring and Artificial Neural Network. Bidirectional glass/epoxy laminates were subjected to tensile loading. The laminates were made for 12 layers of bi-directional glass mat in an epoxy matrix. The AE data recorded during the tensile testing was used to predict the failure load. The parameters such as amplitude, count, duration, energy, peak to count and rise-time were used for the analysis. Feed forward back propagation neural network model was generated from acoustic emission cumulative counts data taken during loading of bi-directional glass/epoxy tensile specimens. Cumulative counts recorded up to 50% and 75% of the failure load were used as the input data for simulation. The results show that the developed non-destructive method is capable of predicting the failure of composites subjected to tensile loading with an error of 3.5% and 7.6% for cumulative counts of 50% and 75% of loads respectively.

The 4-benzylidene-2-(4-methoxyphenyl)oxazol-5(4H)-one (B) has been prepared from cyclocondensation reaction between hippuric acid (A) with p-anisaldehyde. A series of 4-benzylidene-1-(substitued-2-benzothiazolyl)-2-(4-methoxyphenyl)-1H-imidazol-5(4H)-one (D1-6) have been synthesized from 2-amino substituted benzothiazole (C1-6) by condensation reaction with 4-benzylidene-2-(4-methoxyphenyl)oxazol-5(4H)-one (B). The synthesized compounds were characterized by IR, 1H-NMR, 13C-NMR and Mass spectral data. All the compounds were screened for their antibacterial and antifungal activities.

Accounting conservatism in financial reporting is one of the salient features of the recent finan-cial crisis has attracted more attention. Requiring a high degree of conservatism verifiable know-ledge of good news for such benefits, the recognition of bad news, such as loss of productivity. The results show that conservatism has a negative and significant relationship with firm financial distress. The findings of an inverse relationship between firm value and the significant stresses of corporate financial distress. The results of this study, an effective contractual mechanisms to limit the conservative bias of the manager knows the companies financial distress.increase the cor-porate value of the Company's long-term financial distress is reduced.

The role accurate measurement and reception of electromagnetic signal play in telecommunications cannot be over emphasized. These measurements and reception are a function of terrain/topology, level of infrastructural development, vegetation and other factors. Wave propagation models are very important and necessary tools for determining the radio wave propagation characteristics of a user environment or area. The research handles site specific measurements for Lagos at frequencies of 900MHz and 1800MHz and comparison done with standard calculated values. From the analysis of data collected, the mean square errors (µe) ranged from 5.39dB to 13.60dB for Okumura Hata at 900MHz. For COST 231 Hata at this frequency, it was from 5.06dB to 13.52dB. This agrees with the acceptable International range. The acceptable range lies between 1? µ ? 15dB (Wu and Yuan 1998). The mean square error at 1800MHz varied from 4.66dB to 5.06dB.

In this Paper the comparison between two traction motors i.e. Permanent magnet synchronous motor and three phase Induction motor has been done to find out the best traction motor suitable for electric vehicle application. First the sizing of vehicle parameters is done to find the rated torque, speed and power suitable to design a three phase induction motor. In Matlab simulation, the Simulink model of Fuel cell Electric vehicle using New York city drive cycle is run with two different motors .The simulation result is obtained with two types of controllers i.e. PID and Fuzzy controller and the simulation results show that Fuzzy controller gives better control characteristics.

Iran, nowadays, is in dire need of entrepreneurs like never before. Entrepreneurs are the people who use their investments to produce new products or provide services to the public that eventually boost up the level of service to the community, employment and capital assets to avoid stagnation in the economy, which means improvement in the public welfare. The role of the university, as an organization with the tasks of education and training, is very important. Entrepreneurship is a new phenomenon that has played an important role in the economy of developing countries. Entrepreneurship has a key role in the competitive economy based on the current market situations. In this study, the entrepreneurs’ capabilities of entrepreneurship (success-seeking, tendency to take risk, tendency to creativity, internal and external control and independence) have been evaluated and the influence of them in operating a business has been analyzed. The survey method and the questionnaires were used to collect data for this research. Participants in this study were selected from undergraduate students in Islamic Azad University of Tafresh, Iran. The stratified sampling has been used in sampling design and the total number of 220 questionnaires were distributed among the students. The results showed that the scores of entrepreneurial capabilities in students seeking success, tendency to creativity and locus of control were found to be above average and, on the other hand, tendency to take risks and independence were below average.

Relationship marketing has occurred as a vast new impression for many organizations in the West. Yet, due to standards and racial alterations, the same concept cannot be applied in the local situation. This study focused mainly in Isfahan as Isfahan as always been the heart of tourism industry in Iran. The researcher has adapted questionnaires, which were used by past researchers of relationship marketing. The population for this study include all clients of hotels in Isfahan. The sampling design for this study is a non-probability convenient sample and sample size was 220 and represents North, South, West and East of Isfahan to avoid possible local bias. There are 55 samples in each region. The Cronbach’s Alpha used to measure the reliability and for discussing about validity, content and face validity used. The result shows that there is positive significant between customer satisfaction, personal connection and customer retention. Besides that, strong senses of purpose of personal connection effect on retention in hotels and this result supported by the research findings.

The research, development and the accuracy of automatic speech recognition (ASR) remains one of the most important research challenges over the years e.g. speaker and language variability, vocabulary size and domain, noise. This paper describes the recent progress and the author’s perspective of ASR and gives an overview of major technological perspective and appreciation of the fundamental progress of Automatic speech recognition.

This paper presents the structural analysis of Afikpo sub-basin using aeromagnetic and Landsat imagery. It was carried out to determine depth to the magnetic basement, delineate the basement morphology and relief, delineate the structural features associated with the basin and to infer the effects of such structures to the general tectonic history and basin geodynamics of the study area. The aeromagnetic and Landsat data were subjected to various image and data enhancement and transformation routines. Results of the study revealed that the dominant structural trend direction of the study area is in the NE-SW direction. Other lineament trend directions are in the N-S and E-W directions. The lineament density map revealed the presence of high density fracture zone around Afikpo and Ezi-Alayi, 8km SW of Afikpo. Results of the 2-D spectral analysis revealed a two layer depth model. The shallower magnetic source (d1) has an average depth of 1.195km while the deeper magnetic source bodies (d2) have an average depth of 2.660km.The shallower magnetic anomalies is as a result of basement rocks which intruded into the sedimentary rocks while, the deeper magnetic anomalies is associated with intra-basement discontinuities like faults. Finally, the average sedimentary thickness of 2.660km estimated in the study area is unfavourable for hydrocarbon generation. The study area is rather favourable for quarrying and Pb/Zn exploration based on the presence of Dolerite Sill which has galena as an associated ore.
