Iron oxide nanoparticles with TiO2 with PVA were synthesized by co- precipitation. Removal efficiency of iron, manganese and copper in wastewater by nano iron oxide after treatment was 91.10 %, 82.66 % and 94.03 %, respectively. Removal efficiency of Fe, Mn and Cu in synthesized solution after treatment was 91.42 %, 92.96 % and 90.81% respectively. Reduction percent of nitrate and phosphate in wastewater after treatment was observed to be 87.65 % and 91.07 % respectively. B3LYP/6-31G(d,p) indicated that PVA became more reactive as metals oxides are interacted with it as blending and complexing or both types of interaction.

The problem of generating bivariate normal distributions is drawing the attention of the reliability analyst. Amongst those approaches, the characterization approach and the modelling approach are very appealing. In fact characterization approach is of interest to both theoreticians and applied workers. Here we have used a bivariate normal distribution for application from Mutivariate normal distribution through characterization approach. In our application we have considered days of Menstrual Cycle with Melatonin hormone as variable combined with LH, Estradiol and Progesterone hormones as variables as women stress effects. In many applications involving functions of random variables one may be interested in only the mean & variance of these functions. Furthermore, one may have available data from which the mean, variance and perhaps correlation coefficients among the variables can be calculated. Here we express the statistics of a function of a several random variables as a function of statistics on its component. In the discussion which follows the joint density is assumed to be a multivariate normal. The mean and variance of four variales have been utilized in the application part. From the clinical point of view menstrual changes due to secretion of hormones Melatonin, LH, Progesterone, Estradiol which are first sign of ovarian function. Religious institutions in India are too rich in terms of their income through donations and treasures. But this wealth of the country is kept confined to the institutions itself. This paper explains the current scenario of Indian religious institutions by carrying out an empirical as well as the descriptive research on the topic. It will focus on the need of the hour for using these funds for the social upliftment and development. It will also emphasize whether nationalisation of these institutions is required or not. This paper also analyses that if the religious institutions are already under State control, then there should be a transparent mechanism in which all the funds collected through religious institutions are utilized. And it will also study that the funds need to be circulated in the economy for the boom of the economy. It has also emphasized on some international systems where taxes has been imposed upon the religious institutions for the development of the country and the institutions itself. Lastly, we would be discussing whether there is a need for imposing Aastha Tax in India. And what should be the nature of such taxes (if imposed) and their advantages and disadvantages as well.

The present investigation was carried to monitor simultaneously the physico-chemical characteristics of water and sediments of Dal Lake over a period of one year from March 2014-Feb.2015. In all 17 parameters from surface water and 13 parameters from sediments were analysed. The parameters analysed during the study were pH, conductivity, biochemical oxygen demand (BOD), chemical oxygen demand (COD), total dissolved solids (TDS), dissolved oxygen (DO), ammonical nitrogen, phosphate, sulphate, total hardness (TH), chloride (Cl-), and metals (Na, K, Fe, Ca, Mg). The results of both water and sediment samples revealed an overall increase in the concentration of the parameters than the permissible limits due to pollution.

In modern world, decision support systems are gaining increased popularity in various domains, including medical informatics and engineering. Digital access to the patient case data in would help the novice nurses in making faster and accurate decisions. The discussions in this paper are based on N-CODES (Nursing Computer Decision Support), an interactive handheld device which takes in patient data and delivers clinical knowledge i.e. it provides a diagnostic for decision support by the filtered and collated data. The focus of this paper is mainly on one aspect, the indexing of patient specific cases, and individual rule fragments. ‘Improve’ data library has been used, which contains instances of each possible patient class in the clinical decision support system (CDS). These classes are organized into frequent case (FC) trees by developing an algorithm which will find the frequently occurring rules. This algorithm will support the patient case indexing by organizing cases into rule vectors consisting of rule instances for a specific case ending with an intervention and also will aid in determining similarity of new cases with stored exemplar cases.

The increased reach of health programs in India, during the past few decades, has significantly contributed to declining in postnatal mortality including the infant, child & other mortality. However, reduction in neonatal mortality remained negligible. About 70% neonatal deaths take place within a week after birth. The prime objective of this study is to explore the death clustering of the neonates and its determinants in India. 3rd round of National Family Health Survey (NFHS-3), India, 2005-06 data was used for this study. Bivariate analysis followed by multivariate analysis (Binary logistic regression) was performed to identify the determinants of neonatal mortality. Moran’s I & Univariate LISA cluster map was used to explore the spatial clusters of neonatal deaths in India. Univariate Moran’s I (Moran’s I=0.215) was significant i.e. spatial dependence exists for neonatal deaths in Indian states. The Univariate LISA cluster map explored significant hotspots of neonatal deaths which were Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, MP, Odisha, Rajasthan, UP and WB. The estimated odds of neonatal death was 2.75 times higher (OR=2.75; 95% CI: 2.21-3.43) among smaller size neonates than the average & larger size neonates. The odds of neonatal death was found 2.39 times, 2.73 times & 1.84 times higher among those mothers who had an illiterate, primary & secondary level of education as compared to mothers who had higher education. The risk of neonatal death among 1st (OR=1.43) and more than 4th (OR=1.35) order births was positively higher than 2nd to 3rd order births. Based on the findings, the study proposes various approaches to address the increasing contribution of neonatal deaths in India. The findings suggest that raising mother education & providing a healthy diet to pregnant women, can bring a quick substantial reduction of neonatal mortality and the target fixed can be achieved. So, it is necessary to encourage & support women for higher education. This study proposes to provide the combination of the continuum care for maternal, neonatal, and child health by integrating a family-community based service delivery approach with the existing health care system especially to the death clusters in India.

The purpose of this study was to establish effects of strategic innovation management on competitiveness in the hotel industry. The specific objectives of the study were to; determine the effects of products and service innovations on competitiveness in hotel industry and establish effects of technology innovations on competitiveness in hotel industry. The study adopted Organizational Performance Model (OPI) developed by Kenya Institute of Management. OPI model was developed to promote organizational excellence and competitiveness in Kenya. The study adopted a descriptive survey design. The study was done in seven selected hotels in Nakuru town which were selected based on the ratings by international booking companies namely; Eagle Palace Hotel, Hotel Waterbuck, Midland Hotel, Merica Hotel, Emboita Hotel, Milele Resort, and Avenue Suites Hotel. Simple random sampling was used to select 44 support staff. Purposive sampling was used to select heads of departments in the five departments in each hotel giving a sample of 35 HODs and one overall manager in each hotel giving a sample of 7 managers hence an overall sample size of 86 respondents. Questionnaires and interviews were used to collect data. Questionnaires were used to collect data from the heads of department and support staff while interviews were used to collect data from the managers. The questionnaires were coded and analyzed using descriptive statistics, frequencies and percentages and inferential statistics using regression model to test the strength of association between the independent and dependent variables. The analysis was done with the aid of SPSS version 20. The data from the interviews were analyzed using content analysis. The findings and recommendations of the study are to provide empirical information to the government of Kenya in policy formulation for revamping the tourism sector. The findings are also to be of significance to the managers in the hotel industry in formulating innovative strategic plans. Finally, the study will contribute to the existing literature on strategic management practices in the hotel industry. The study established that product/ service innovations significantly predict competitiveness in the hotel industry (?1= 0.583, P= 0.00). Technology innovations significantly affect competitiveness in the hotel industry (?2= 0.098, P= 0.033). The researcher recommends that as the hotels innovate their products and services, they should design to meet the needs of particular target customers. The researcher recommends that; the hotel managers should place more emphasis on product and service innovation in order to remain competitive, investment in technology by the management to enhance their competitiveness, as the hotels innovate their products and services, they should design to meet the needs of particular target customers.

This paper was motivated by the need to locate and discuss the role and place of electronic skills to strengthening and expanding the development footprint of women in rural development. The study analyzed the levels of electronic literacy among rural women who attended adult literacy classes in deep remote areas of Zimbabwe. The study revealed that most women lack e-skills. A few were learning basic electronic skills through their electronically literate family networks. Consequently, the study concluded that it is important to empower rural women with electronic skills for community development.
