The present paper is concerned the second-order differential equation ,(*) with Neumann boundary conditions. By using the asymptotic solutions we find the distribution of eigenvalues of (*) in two turning points.

This study investigated the effect of the integrating currents issues of interest into class materials on the students’ achievement in learning grammar. The following question was proposed. Is relating current issues of interest to class materials useful on students grammar learning? It was hypothesized that integrating current issues of interest with class materials in teaching grammar has a positive effect on learning grammar. The study was performed at Islamic Azad University in Hidaj with 60 participants--male and female-- who were majoring in ‘mechanical’ and ‘electrical’ engineering. Since the researcher did not have the possibility of randomizing the subjects, 60 students of two classes who were taking their first semester at university were used for this study; one of the classes as the control group and the other as the experimental group. As Farhady (1995, p. 146) contends: “In classroom research it is unreasonable to expect the director of the courses to randomly assign students to classes for the sake of experimentation.” The subjects were taught for five weeks and finally took an achievement test. After analyzing the results of the test, and by comparing the means of the scores using t-test, it was found that integrating current issues of interest with class materials in teaching grammar lessons did not significantly improve students achievement in learning grammar.

Type 2 diabetes(TIIDM) aging-related disorder, is caused by a combination of peripheral insulin resistance and ?-cell dysfunction .Recent evidence, however, suggests that TIIDM is additionally characterized by impaired ?-cell regeneration and reduced ?-cell mass .Shortened telomeres have been previously associated with diabetes in several small-scale studies(Zhu et al.,2011). Measurement of telomere length in diabetic patients in different age and different duration of disease and compared with control. Also included the comparison telomere length between male and female for both control and diabetic groups and between patients from genetic origin (mother origin or father origin) and patients from non genetic origin. Genomic DNA was prepared from whole blood extraction using genaid kit and was quantified by Nanodrop .Terminal restriction fragment (TRF) lengths were measured using the Southern-blotting technique .This study was conducted between November 2010- November 2012 and, it was carried out at the diabetic Centre / Merjan Teaching Hospital in Babel Province by taking 54 diabetic patients(Type II DM) with disease duration (0-5),(>5-10 )and (>10 )years ,with age average (35-65 year)and most of them were on oral hypoglycemic drugs. While the study included 18 people apparently healthy that included 9 male and 9 female with age average (35-65 year). The study revealed that telomere length(TL) were differences between males and females of control group. Age- adjusted telomere length were shorter in males than in females of control subjects (13,200 bp ) vs. (11,600 bp), (14,200 bp) vs. (13,000 bp) and (15,100 bp) vs. (13,800 bp),and this differences in TL between males and females decreased as aging increased, while this gender differences in TL was not observed among the diabetic patients .In both the controls group and diabetic subjects, the telomere length were shorter in older subjects than younger for both males and females.

Abrus precatorius Linn. (Fabaceae) is a climbing shrub widely distributed in most of the districts of the country in hedges and among bushes on open lands. The objective of this work is to evaluate and compare anthelmintic activity of ethanolic extract of red seeds of Abrus precatorius. Earth worms were used for anthelmintic activity. Albendazole was used as standard drug. Time required for paralysis and death of animals were noted for each sample.

Background: The hypothalamic/pituitary/gonadal (HPG)axis is central to the mammalian reproductive system. Pulsatile release of GnRH from neurons in the hypothalamus stimulates the secretion of LH and FSH from gonadotropes in the anterior pituitary. It has long been recognized that reproductive function is closely associated with energy balance, and metabolic dysregulation is linked with reproductive abnormalities (Lu et al.,2008). Compare the differences in levels of adiponectin, FSH, LH, testosterone and estradiol between the diabetic patients and control group and in diabetic patients according to the durations of disease for both males and females groups .Also study the relationship between adiponectin and hormones for both gender and for both diabetic groups and control also in diabetic patients according to the durations of disease. The statistical analysis of this study showed that patients with Type 2 diabetes of both males and females had significantly lower in adiponectin levels than control group (P<0.05),but this level of adiponectin significantly higher in females than males for both diabetic groups and control (p<0.05) ,while the levels of FSH and LH had significantly higher in diabetes group than control (p<0.05) ,also significantly higher in females than males for both diabetic groups and control (P< 0.05). The result of hormonal analysis show there were no significant differences in estradiol and testosterone between diabetic groups and control (p > 0.05). According to the durations of disease, the results show significant elevation in adiponectin level in third duration of disease for both males and females groups as compared with first and second duration (P <0.004), while the levels of FSH, LH ,estradiol and testosterone show no significant differences among duration(P>0.05).

The use of molecular and genomic techniques namely: nucleic acid, denaturing gradient gel electrophoresis (DGGE); terminal restriction fragment length polymorphism (T-RFLP), polymerase chain reaction (PCR) have revolutionized ways of assaying biodiversity. This paper reviews their contributions to knowledge of soil microbial diversity.

In this project we applied five data mining algorithms using Weka Tool (Data Mining Program) cases of monthly financial data of firms in the different sectors. These datasets have five years’ experience between2007–2012. After we applied these algorithms at these datasets, we displayed the results and compared the results that found by using these different algorithms.

Among the different strategies for teaching reading comprehension, graphic organizers have received much attention by many researchers and practitioners. This study investigated the effects of graphic organizers on Iranian EFL learners’ reading comprehension. Fifty male 3rd-year high school EFL learners were selected by means of the TOEFL test. They were divided into 2 groups of 25 homogeneous students: one experimental group and one control group. Participants were given a reading comprehension test before the treatment. Subsequently, the experimental group—Group A—received the graphic organizers intervention, and the control group—Group B—received a traditional reading instruction (translation-based). After an eight-week treatment, both groups were given the reading comprehension test again as a posttest. Statistical analysis showed a significant difference in the reading comprehension of the experimental group. It was concluded that the use of graphic organizers had positive effects on the L2 learners’ reading comprehension.

This paper suggests a new exponential ratio-type estimator for estimating the population variance using information of two auxiliary attributes in SRSWOR based on the adaption of the estimator presented by Lu et al. (2014). Problem is extended to the case of two phase sampling. The expressions for the mean square error of the proposed estimator have been derived. The proposed estimator has been compared theoretically with the usual unbiased estimator, usual ratio type estimator, estimator proposed by Chauhan et al. (2009) and the estimator proposed by Singh et al. (2009) and the conditions under which the proposed estimator are better than some existing estimators have also been given. An empirical study has also been carried out using two population data sets to demonstrate the efficiencies of the proposed estimator.

Calculated indices are now emerging as clinically useful tools for the preliminary diagnosis for a variety of disorders/diseases. Such indices are derived from a measured analyte or set of analytes and they will then be used as tools to monitor/evaluate the preliminary clinical condition associated with a particular organ such as liver, kidney or respiratory related problems. Among such calculated parameters, eGFR and FENa for renal, liver enzyme ratios, FIB-4 and APRI for liver and anion gap for acid base disorders have been extensively used. This review article highlights the recent research findings in the use of such calculated parameters for clinical use, and its merits and demerits in providing awareness to clinicians about its significance and use in clinical practice.
