Product development of lever cam follower using poka yoke
Poka yoke is a very powerful set of technique that either keeps defects from occurring or indicating immediately when a defect occurs. It relies on creativity and common sense to create low cost, effective inspection devices. Like many quality tools, mistake-proofing is not a solution for every kind of defect or quality problem. The poka yoke aims to reduce the rejection, increase the production and avoid fatigue of worker. The beauty of this lies in that anyone, from manager to line supervisor to line employee can bring this concept into service. These devices are used either to prevent the special causes that result in defects, or to inexpensively inspect each item that is produced to determine whether it is acceptable or defective. The paper contains poka yoke fundamentals to improve the production of lever cam follower and to achieve the target of zero defects over the whole process machining.

Cluster Based Route Discovery Technique for Routing Protocol in Manet
Mobile Adhoc Networks (MANETs) as the name signifies is a network formed by collection of mobile adhoc devices (nodes). MANET is an autonomous decentralized wireless network where each node is free to move anytime anywhere. Routing always being the most researched topic in the cases of networks. Routing in MANETs is mainly of two types proactive and reactive. This paper presents a route discovery technique used in the reactive routing protocol i.e. AODV. Simulation results using NS2 are also shown which proves that this route discovery technique works better than the original route discovery used earlier.

Architecture for Secure Cloud Computing using Garbled Circuits
Cloud computing security challenges for secure outsourcing of data and computations are increasing. Many hardware or fully Homomorphic Encryption solutions exists for Cloud computing security. The hardware based solution is not able to scale and fully Homomorphic Encryption is yet not practically used due to its low efficiency. Client should have trust service provider for confidentiality and integrity of their data and computation. In this paper, we describe architecture for secure outsourcing data and computation by providing confidentiality and integrity. In this architecture, Private Cloud which performs encryption and decryption of data and computations using Garbled Circuit for DNA matching using Levenshtein distance. Public Cloud does processing of operations. Comparison of our architecture with others techniques can be carried for proving its efficiency for secure outsourcing of data and computation. Efficient design can be used for different application where large mathematical computation is applied.

Design and performance evaluation of a singulation device for effective positioning of rice kernels in a machine vision-based quality inspection system
The objective of this study was to design a singulation system for proper presentation of rice kernels to be analyzed by vision-based rice inspection systems. In order to achieve this goal, several ideas were examined and the preference of each design over the others was evaluated using the Multi-Criteria-Analysis (MCA) method. The proposed designs included a grooved conveyor belt, dual conveyor singulation device, vibrating tray, circular positioning device, and ejection nozzles. The assessment criteria considered in this research included complexity, fabrication cost, feasibility of implementation, singulation speed, and singulation accuracy. After executing the MCA method, the dual conveyor singulation design was selected as the best design for implementation. A prototype of the selected idea was then constructed and its performance was evaluated practically at different transmission frequencies (TFs) of the conveyor’s variable speed drive and discharge rate (DR) of kernels on the conveyor surface. Results of evaluation showed that in all of the DRs the singulation efficiency increased with transmission frequency. The results also revealed that for all of the evaluated TFs, increasing the discharge rate decreased the singulation efficiency. For all of the evaluated DRs, a somewhat irregular increase was observed in the number of singulated kernels with increasing TF. The highest singulation efficiency was equal to 93.09 % which was obtained at DR of 60 g/min and TF of 60 Hz. The highest number of singulated kernels was equal to 94.75, on the average, which was achieved at DR of 60 g/min and TF of 50 Hz

Vibrational analysis of 2-chloro-1-fluoro-4-nitrobenzene a joint FTIR, FT-Raman and Scaled Quantum Chemical Study
Vibrational spectral analysis was carried out for 2-chloro-1-fluoro-4-nitrobenzene (CFNB) by using the FT-IR and FT-Raman spectroscopy in the range of 4000 cm-1 to 400 cm-1 and 4000 cm-1 to 100 cm-1 respectively. The theoretical computational density functional theory (DFT/B3LYP) was performed at 6-311+G** levels to derive equilibrium geometry, vibrational wavenumbers, infrared intensities and Raman scattering activities. The complete vibrational assignment was performed on the basis of the potential energy distribution (PED), calculated with scaled quantum mechanics (SQM) method. Natural bond orbital (NBO) analysis was applied to study stability of the molecule arising from charge delocalization. Quantum chemical parameters such as the highest occupied molecular orbital energy (HOMO), the lowest unoccupied molecular orbital energy (LUMO), energy gap (?E), were calculated.

Assessment Co2 emission, energy indices and estimating yield in seed and grain corns production in Pars Abad Moghan city of Iran
The aim of this study was to determine greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and indicators for energy use and to evaluate energy sensitivity of seed and grain corn production in Pars Abad Moghan, Iran. The data was collected by a face-to-face interview method from 144 corn farms during 2011 year. Most of energy consumption in seed and grain corns was related to diesel fuel and chemical fertilizers. The net energy, energy productivity, energy intensity and GHG emission were -4688.77 MJ ha-1, 0.06 Kg MJ-1, 16.4 MJ Kg-1 and 1810.11 kg CO2eq ha-1 for seed corn and 58330.63, 0.18, 5.53 and 1490.13 kg CO2eq ha-1 for grain corn, respectively. The percentage share of renewable, nonrenewable, direct and indirect energies were 3, 97, 46 and 54 for seed corn, and 2, 98, 50 and 50 for grain corn, respectively. The highest value of GHG emission belonged to diesel fuel with share of 64.22% and 66.66 % of total emission for seed and grain corn, respectively. An econometric model was also developed to estimate the impact of energy inputs on yield by using Cobb-Douglas production function. For this purpose, seed and grain corn yields were assumed to be functions of energy inputs.

Tax avoidance in India: a gateway of economic prevarication
Taxation has ever been an important policy field throughout history and will stay a crucial aspect in future politics since it creates the basis for the state to work. The edifice of modern market oriented economy is focused on its money-making strength and the gusto for mammon worship. This pursuit for economic wealth and capital formation often leads to misfeasance, fraud, and unfair practices, indulged in by individuals or corporate giants, commonly known as socio-economic or white-collar crimes. White-collar crimes have expanded vertically, as well as, horizontally to include, embezzlement, false advertising, bribery, unfair competition and above all tax evasion. An incessant global effort is on to contain the subversive effects of white-collar crimes especially in the field of tax evasion or tax lately tax avoidance. The present-day economic milieu based on liberalisation, open market access and trans-border transaction, though aim at reducing the tariff and non-tariff barriers, including rationalization of international taxation, stumble at the gate of phenomenal growth in tax evasion. Besides, the astonishing reality is that tax avoidance which is treated legal by almost all the countries, has turned out to be a camouflage to conceal wealth and thereby liability. There is a need to understand the basic pitfalls in the tax regime to ascertain the menacing effect of this growing phenomenon in the rubric of tax jurisprudence especially in context of India purporting to emerge as a growing economy in the 21st century. India has come up with a New Tax Code in order to decipher the tax maneuvering and tax avoidance by corporate sector given her burgeoning role at the international level. How far the new tax regime is going to arrest the menacing effect of tax evasion or avoidance shall form the general theme of this paper.

Technological parameters studies on the wild silkworm Epiphora bauhiniae (Guerin-Meneville): (Lepidoptera: saturniidae) in Gedarif State; Sudan
This study was conducted in Gedarif town; Gedarif State, Sudan in (2003-2006). The objective was to test the hypothesis that, the wild silkworm Epiphora bauhiniae (Guerin-Meneville) has ability to produce a lucrative silk fiber (cocoons), of commercial value, during the rainy season. A comparative study was done to determine the average values and basic production indices, of the wild silkworm, fed during the various months of rainy seasons August, September and October). The technological traits (cocoon weight, shell weight and shell ratio) of the produced cocoons were investigated under laboratory. Cocoons produced showed high weights, during the rainy season, particularly in August and September. The study revealed that, the cocoon of E.bauhiniae, easy to be degummed and released from cocoon by hand, after treatment using NaoH solution (low con. 0.25%). The fibers have high ability or capability of dyeing absorbency. Sericin percentage was 44%. Cocoon weight, shell weight and shell ratio ranged between (1.5 - 2.98 g, 0.37 - 0.59 g, 22.5 – 24.5 %, respectively). The technological traits were significantly varied, within the period of the rainy season, i.e. the values obtained during August and September was higher than October values. This study showed the potential of E.bauhiniae, as an important wild silkworm, to be a candidate as a commercial insect, for silk production in Sudan, because it is a bi voltine race (generate twice a year) beside that its products covers all quantitative and qualitative traits and accordingly this insect will have prominent concerns to contribute and help in future to defeat poverty and boost farmer income. This study claimed to be the first study that, showing the technological traits of E.bauhiniae in Sudan and open the door widely for the insect not to be placed out in the cold.

A systematic review of semicarbazones as an anticonvulsant agent
Anticonvulsants are a diverse group of pharmaceuticals used in the treatment of epileptic seizures. The goal of an anticonvulsant is to suppress the rapid and excessive firing of neurons that start a seizure. The use of current antiepileptic drugs has been questioned due to the non selectivity of the drugs and the undesirable side effects posed by them. This lead to the search for antiepileptic compounds with more selective activity and lower toxicity continues to be an area of investigation in medicinal chemistry. Semicarbazones are compounds which are synthesized by the condensation of semicarbazide and aldehydes/ketones. The literature survey revealed that semicarbazones had been emerged as a compound with broad range of activities including anticonvulsant, antitubercular, anticancer and antimicrobial activity. In this review chemistry and anticonvulsant activity of semicarbazone analogues are discussed.
