Design of Compact Monopole Antenna loaded with SRR for Wi-MAX/Wi-Fi/Satellite Communication
A design and development of a simple monopole antenna based on metamaterial resonators for multiband operation is presented. The antenna operates in the frequency range of 2.97 GHz to 4.25GHz, 4.6 GHz to 5.24 GHz, 7.15 GHz to 10.41GHz, with impedance bandwidth of 35.45%, 13.01% and 37.13%, respectively. The split ring resonators (SRR) acts as metamaterial resonators which are embedded on the planar monopole that resonates for multiple frequency bands. The antenna shows the good impedance matching and radiation performance. The measured result is agreed well with the simulated result. The proposed antenna finds their application in the different wireless communications such as Wi-MAX, Wi-Fi and Satellite Communication.

Dynamic modeling of direct drive axial flux PMLOM using FEM analysis
A general framework for the development of a new generation of PM Linear Oscillating Machine (PMLOM) using FE magnetic analysis suitable for short strokes is described in this paper. A microcontroller based IGBT inverter is developed for the control of thrust and oscillation frequency. The PMLOM can perform precision oscillation task with relatively low power dissipation. The use of powerful permanent magnet material such as Neodymium-Iron-Boron alloys has greatly improved the performance of the machine. The forces for aluminium mover embedded with rare earth permanent magnets are determined analytically and the results are validated extensively by comparison with finite element analyses.

Genetic Algorithm Based Hybrid PID Fuzzy Speed Controller in FOCIM
ABSTRACT In this paper induction motor speed controlling using FOC with genetic algorithm tuned hybrid PID plus fuzzy controller is discussed. Tuning of PID plus fuzzy speed controller by GA improves static and dynamic performance of FOCIM. Nonlinear induction motor modeling is modeled as linear model for optimization of controller gains. Matlab/Simulink based simulations are carried out with different cases to check efficiency of proposed controller. These results are compared with conventional trial and error method to check improvement in peak overshoot and response time. Keywords: FOCIM (Field Oriented Control Induction Motor), Genetic Algorithm, Fuzzy, mutation, crossover.

An novel approach to computerized ration shops equipped with biometric customer card
This paper mainly focuses on computerization of ration shops providing Customer Card or Ration Card having the Biometric Identification. Currently the Ration shops are manually operated like billing, weighting systems which are inaccurate, makes a way for causes for mischiefs and cheating activities. To avoid these problems all the ration shops are to be computerized and all the customer’s cards are provided with a digital card with Biometric Identification. By means of implementing the computerized billing and the digital weighting machine to be interfaced to the computer system. The finger print of the customer is used as the biometric Identification, in order to avoid the unauthorized accessibility upon the ration shop. By implementing the system ration shop process become simple and stack details are accurate and easily calculated in terms of grams. The chance for cheating and inaccurate quantity of supply are rare, so the customers can get accurate amount of products. The stack and overall calculations of the ration shop is made fast and simple.

Analysis of single phase inverter based welding machine using PIC
Single Phase Inverter Based Welding Machine employ resonant high frequency IGBT inverter technology. Due to soft switching scheme, these machines are very rugged and efficient. Currently 1-Phase 160A, 1-Phase 200A, All the TIG machines have built in high frequency igniter circuit for non - contact arc initiation. All these welding machines have Special feature to shut down the internal electronic circuit when machine is kept idle, This feature enhances the life time of machines. Due to such features, Single phase welding machine is having light and saves the electricity up to 60%. Having used for current 20 to 200 A. This machine is moisture free dc welding. The input characteristics are similar to AC, having features such as high max output voltage, stable against voltage fluctuations. Inner loop control for quick system respondence, Peak current control mode make the power devices and stable, against frequent short circuit shocks, Arc thrust function, improve the metal transfer Hot arc ignition function small light and energy saving.

Development of new passive neuro fuzzy method to increase accuracy and speed of islanding detection in distribution network
Due to advantages of distributed generation systems, their use in distributed systems is more and more every day. In networks that are used in distributed generation resources, the island being a big problem to occur unintentionally. In this paper we will use a new method that combines of neural networks and fuzzy sets. Simulation results performed in the Matlab software environment that island being diagnosed accurately and more quickly done.

Intelligent human face recognition using wavelet transform
Face recognition recently plays an important role in many application areas such as: commercel, politic, and security. That’s why recognition and high recognition rates of them is very important. features extraction ,decrease of extracted features dimentions and classify are three major and important in the face recognition systems, in the project, we apply third level of gabor wavelet transform for compress and features extraction, also, we apply principle component analyse(PCA)for dimention decrease of extracted features at extremity, we use radial basis function network(RBFN)for classify and recognition this proposal system performs on the ORL face database. This system results average correct recognition percent 97.75% on ORL database.

Medical image sequence compression using SPIHT, STW, ARPS
Our paper is divided into two parts compression technique and block matching algorithms. Set Partitioning in Hierarchal Trees (SPIHT) and Spatial orientation tree Wavelet (STW ) are Compression technique and Adaptive Rood Pattern Search is a block matching algorithm. Usually medical images are generated from different –different image diagnostic centers. For fast transmission, reception and to reduce the storage capacities we do compression with better picture quality. SPIHT and STW are compared in terms of Compression ratio (CR) and Peak Signal to Noise Ratio (PSNR) .For better Compression Ratio and Peak Signal to Noise Ratio we used STW and SPIHT respectively. ARPS consumed less Time among all other existing algorithms.

Optimizing Classification Error in Handwritten Devnagari Text Documents Using GA
Nowadays, there are innumerable innovative technologies are emerging in the era of image processing and pattern recognition field. One of the challenging and interesting fields of research in image processing and pattern recognition is the “Optical Character Recognition”. Genetic algorithm is class of evolutionary algorithm which is based on the ideas of natural selection and natural genetic system. Genetic algorithm is an impartial optimization algorithm which makes parameter selection in an optimized way so as to obtain the global optimum. Devnagari script is very popular script in India for Marathi, Hindi, Nepali, Sanskrit, Konkani etc. In past few years, the enormous amount of innovations in research work related to the character recognition of printed as well as handwritten documents is established for numerous types of scripts. But the accuracy of recognition will not provide the satisfactory results. The genetic algorithm is used for optimizing the classification error and also improving the recognition rates. So, this is an attempt of improving the accuracy and optimizing the classification error by introducing the genetic algorithm for feature extraction as well as the classification for the handwritten devnagari script.

Performance Evaluation of OFDM System with Rayleigh, Rician and AWGN Channels
A Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) scheme offers high spectral efficiency and better resistance to fading environments. In OFDM the data is modulated using multiple number of sub-carriers that are orthogonal to each other because of which the problems associated with other modulation schemes such as Inter Symbol Interference (ISI) and Inter Carrier Interference (ICI) are reduced. This paper deals with the analysis of OFDM System utilising different modulation techniques (QAM and BPSK) over Rayleigh, Rician and Additive White Gaussian Noise (AWGN) fading environments with the use of pilot aided arrangement and finally the results are conveyed.
