Mobile Adhoc Networks (MANETs) as the name signifies is a network formed by collection of mobile adhoc devices (nodes). MANET is an autonomous decentralized wireless network where each node is free to move anytime anywhere. Routing always being the most researched topic in the cases of networks. Routing in MANETs is mainly of two types proactive and reactive. This paper presents a route discovery technique used in the reactive routing protocol i.e. AODV. Simulation results using NS2 are also shown which proves that this route discovery technique works better than the original route discovery used earlier.

The batch tests enabled determination of the degradation of the compounds at different temperatures and times, using various sludge types after characterization. Removal rates of cocaine (91.0%), benzoylecgonine (90.6%), heroin (97.9%), morphine (99.7%), 6 monoacetylmorphine (93.3%) and diazepam (99.7%) were measured after 3 hours equilibration; partition coefficients (Kd) for these six substances ranged from 1.2 – 68.1 Kg L-1. The degradation of compounds at 19 ± 0.5o C was relatively greater but it still occurred slowly at 4 ± 0.5o C, at between 5 and 10%. Work encompassed in this study directly measures illicit drug removal rates in laboratory studies for the first time. The application of batch studies in calculating removal rates in sewage works is an improvement over prior studies where assumptions on removal rates at STW were made.

This experimental work is conducted to find the best paradigms for emergency czommunication systems that are developed in disabled and patient health care. The system must be proficient in avoiding adverse effects due to any misinterpretation that may arise in mis-classification of input. The proposed system works well with the suggested paradigms for the extraction of signals from a wearable hand glove. Each extracted signal spectrum represents the corresponding and precise paradigm feature, suitable for efficient classification. The application of Fast Fourier Transformation on signals to extract these features along with the Linear Discriminant analysis (LDA) resulted in faultless results. The wider differentiation is found in paradigms that depend on finger bustle, and are found less in false acceptance and false rejection in turn in equal error rate. Hence the experimental results prove the feasibility of constructing the efficient and simplified emergency response system for the sick, elderly and the disabled using the well differentiated paradigms.

This article reviews the notion and characteristics of constructivism as a learning theory and its contribution to education in general and teachers and students roles in learning environments. In addition, it examines how constructivism has influenced the relationship between ICT and education.

Early studies on the adsorption and ion exchange potential of coconut coir dust (Cocos nucifera L.) has great proficiency for removal of trace metal ions from waste water and industrial effluents. Several factors influence the process of waste water detoxification by ion exchange using agricultural biomass. In this paper the effect of pH on the removal of metal ions by ion exchange has been studied by batch process for Pb(II), Cu(II), Ni(II), Cd(II) and Zn(II) Using Native Coir dust (CD), Maize Cob (MC) and Carboxylated (CTR) and Sulphonated (STR) acetone modified extract of native coir dust. The amount of metal ions adsorbed increased with increase in pH of solution. Coir dust and Maize Cob removed more metal ion than carboxylated resin while the sulphonated resin removed the least i.e MC > CD > CTR > STR. At pH 4.5, the maize cob removed 94.53% of Pb(II), 95.92% Zn(II), 92.26% Cu(II) and 86.11% Cd(II). While at pH 6.5, it removed 92.56% Pb(II), 97.89% Zn(II), 92.45% Cu(II) and 89.44% Cd(II) respectively while the coir dust removed Pb(II): 72-33%, Zn(II):85.79%, Cu(II), 71.69% and Cd(II) 76.67% at pH 4.5 and 97.44%, 95.39%, 96.98% and 87.22% of Pb, Zn, Cu, and Cd respectively at pH 6.5. With adsorbent dosage of 0.1 - 0.30g, the % adsorption of metal ions varied in the following order: CD > MC > CTR > STR
