Labour welfare has a special significance as the constitution provides for the promotion of welfare of the labour for human conditions of work and securing to all workers. The various welfare measures provided by the employee will have immediate impact on the health, physical and mental efficiency, alertness, morale and overall efficiency of the workers and thereby contributing to the highest productivity. Labour welfare means activities designed for the promotion of the economic, social and cultural well being of the employees. Welfare measures improve the physical and physiological health of the employees, which in turn enhance their efficiency and productivity. It promotes a real change of heart and a change of outlook of the part of both the employers and employees. Hence, this study was undertaken in order to measure the Labour Welfare provided in Kothari Sugars and Chemical Limited, Trichy. In order to measure the Labour Welfare a Structured Questionnaire was prepared and distributed among the Labours working in that Industry. The data collected were further analysed by using various tools like Percentage and Chi-Square Test.

The article entitled titled “A STUDY ON ROLE OF TOTAL EMPLOYEE INVOLVEMENT AND PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT OF EMPLOYEE” is to study the various factors that are concerned towards the motivation and total employee involvement. The analysis is mainly based on the primary data that is by the interviewing the employees. The researcher has taken a sample size of 164 and has used the stratified random sampling method to select the samples from the total population of 1620. The statistical tools like Percentage Analysis, Score Value analysis method, Cross tables, ANOVA, Correlation and t-Test were made use of for the analytical purpose. The study gives the opinion of employees’ about the HR functions like working environment, nature of work performed, working hours, remuneration, working atmosphere, relationship with superiors, internal motivators and external motivators, which contributes towards the motivation of the employees and about the total employee involvement in their work. The researcher from the findings, reveal that the motivation factors such as, working environment, working atmosphere, relationship with superiors, working hours, nature of work performed, remuneration and Total Employee Involvement are above the satisfactory level, except for a few factors like internal motivators and external.

The banking sector is one of the biggest service sectors in India and now days is in a way to attract the biggest market of Asia in investment. The banking sector today is focusing on how to provide efficient services to its customers. The Indian Banking System consisting of various public and private sector financial institutions whose objective is serving the people for their financial and economic needs. This century has been full of innovations: new technologies, new products, new services and a plethora of new industries have emerged. Yet the call for innovation in business, especially in financial services, has never been more intense. Although research on this topic exists, there is no empirical evidence regarding the critical factors influencing customer adoption of electronic banking innovation in Ghana’s banking industry. The aim of this article is therefore to investigate the factors influencing the adoption of financial innovation in Ghana’s banking industry. Surveys were conducted involving clients of the banks in the country. This study focuses on banking service quality and identified various factors of banking service quality, i.e., access, communication, competence, credibility, reliability, responsiveness, security, tangibility, Courtesy and understanding. Main objective of the study is to understood and analyze the service quality dimensions and customer satisfaction level with banking services on banking sectors.

Using ad-hoc network a reliable technological condition has been provided for automatic Real-time monitoring and control of forest fires. This paper presents a new type of early warning systems which use a wireless sensor network to collect the information of forest fire, wireless sensor motes constitute microcontroller and zigbee protocol for smart monitoring and control the network through the self-organization of route.

Following the large reserve of untapped natural gas in the world, the utilisation of gas reserve is a possible solution to increasing energy demand and a possible reduction in pollution and crude oil dependency. Due to its (Natural gas) lower hydrocarbon fraction it can be converted to higher petroleum products such as petrol (synthetic fuel), diesel, naphtha and aviation kerosene which are products on high demand. Emission performances of hydrocarbon products produce from gas are better than those from conventional crude oil cracking process. A process known as Fischer Tropsch (F-T) process, requiring an F-T plant is used for the conversion of natural gas into higher derivatives. The process involves three basic stages; Syngas Generation, Catalytic Synthesis to form petroleum products and Hydro-processing to convert into finished product. In an attempt to ensure a major step in utilising the large gas reserve in Nigeria, the setup of F-T plant in the Niger-Delta region is proposed. The choice of establishing the F-T plant in the Niger-Delta region is not political but an economic one; this is so because the feedstock (natural gas) is available in large quantity and transportation is less, thereby cutting cost. Investors will require reasonable model variables which includes a suitable depreciation evaluation, a profitable risk portfolio and a project fixed cost, which are the responsibilities of a petroleum economist. This paper addressed a comparative study of Gas to liquid fuel as an alternative to refined crude oil. Various parameters were evaluated: physical and chemical properties of the product, emission discharge, pollutants. The results obtained showed that gas to liquid products has environmental and efficient benefits over petroleum derived products (crude oil).

The provision of potable water to the populace is considered as one of the most important and critical functions of a government. As a result of this, nations have developed their own water resources master plan that guides them in harnessing this all-important component of human survival from being misused and abused, while at the same time ensuring that their citizens have access to it both in quantity and quality. But unfortunately, this cannot be said of the developing countries, thus the springing up of private water supply companies that complement the activities of the public water agencies. Owing to this, this paper set out to assess the roles of the private water supply companies in the provision of potable water in Minna. Therefore, a total of 400 questionnaires were administered on the residents of the 25 major neighbourhoods of Minna using the simple random sampling technique. Also, questionnaires were administered on 10% of the private water supply companies in Minna, as well as on a representative of the Niger State Water Board (NSWB). The result of the study revealed that despite the erratic nature of the public water supply scheme, the residents of Minna have preference for it. The finding also revealed that the water vendors sometimes sale water from questionable sources like uncovered well and stream to unsuspecting member of the public while claiming that the water was bought from private water companies. Owing to these, the paper recommended the development of water resources master plan that will serve as a policy framework to guide and address all the problems faced by (NSWB as well as developing a legal and policy framework that would facilitate the participation of private developers in the provision of water services on a sustainable basis in Minna.

Any process involving the process of increasing the efficiency of any mechanical part is a vital concept in the field of engineering and technology and equally vital in the field of energy and power systems too. This paper is based on a technique that could be used to improvise and increase the efficiency of the gas turbine aviation engines which was theoretically stated after conducting series of experiments and analysis through software. This technique could be called as REPOLARIZED MAGNETIC ROTATION technique which converts the magnetic power to mechanical power which could therefore be used to compress air in compressor, and thereby increase the efficiency of the gas turbine engines used in aviation. Various techniques adapted to design, analyze and fabricate the test engine were stated in this paper.

Ernest Hemingway, writer of 20th century America, winner of the Nobel Prize in literature, has a reputation of misogyny. A negative outlook towards women showcases his most famous works in which a sense of masculine dominance is almost ever-present. He often employs a sarcastic tone in his treatment of female characters. In his fiction, women who in literature are generally deemed subjects of heartbreak are ironically portrayed as heartbreakers or portents of destruction, in the least. This attitude towards women, we believe, is manifested in his "A Very Short Story" from his first short story collection In Our Time. Taking a biographical approach, we draw on his early experiences with his mother and his first love to better understand the story under study. But what has until now escaped notice is that "A Very Short Story" can also be read as a reaction to Feminism. To substantiate this claim, we put forth a brief survey of the Feminist discourse during the years he published "A Very Short Story", and offer signs of anti-Feminism from the text.

Language serves as an appropriate medium of interaction for society and society is a matrix in which the language is emerged; therefore, they have very close relationships. The terms bilingualism, language shift, language choice can indicate that in certain conditions different varieties of language are used. The way society members choose varieties of a language or switch toward another code can determine the influence of social factors on language choice (Freidoni, Jahandideh 2010) . It is a fact that only a minority of the third generation (grandchildren) of the people who migrate to a new society maintain bilingual; since it is a predominant pattern by the third generation to use- only- the spoken language of that particular community. However, it seems to be of a different case with the Armenians in Iran. Iran as a multilingual society is a suitable community in which the different varieties of language are used to serve different functions. Isfahan, one of the Iranian provinces, is a good representative of multilingualism in Iran; after Tehran, Isfahan has got the second rank regarding the density of Armenian population. After approximately 400 years of the arrival of their first generation to Iran, we can still see that Armenian people remain bilingual. According to our data analysis and the results obtained from questionnaires – distributed among 60 participants from three different generations – the major factor which keeps Armenians from moving away from their ethnicity, culture and language is their prejudice towards the factors above.

The present paper reports the findings of a study on gender (sex) difference in the attitude of post-graduate male and female students towards motion pictures. A sample of 100 (Boys-50 and Girls-50) post-graduate students belonging to all SES categories was selected and comprised the subjects. A standardized film preference questionnaire was used to ascertain the gender (sex) difference in attitude towards motion pictures. Findings suggest that females posses more favourable attitude towards motion pictures than males. Again, females are talent and sympathetic towards changes where as males are more critical in their attitude towards motion pictures.
