Pulmonary sequestration is a rare congenital malformation that receives its blood supply from a systemic artery. We report a case of pulmonary sequestration initially diagnosed as a hydatid cyst of the lung, surgical findings revealed an abscessed collection related to a pulmonary sequestration of the left lower lobe. Pulmonary sequestration remains a diagnostic and therapeutic challenge.

A Primary cutaneous leiomyosarcoma located in the left thigh is reported in a 83-year-old patient. The clinical examination found a voluminous ulcero-budding infected tumor, measuring 15 cm long axis. The result of the histological examination and the immuno-histochemical profile revealed the diagnosis of a leiomyosarcoma. The patient underwent extensive excision with cutaneous margins of three to five cm and carried the Gracilis muscle deep down. After one year of control we did not notice local recurrence. The prognosis remains poor. We recommend long-term follow-up of patients to prevent recurrence. The purpose of this work is to show the difficulties to make the diagnosis and describe our management of this rare case.

In the recreation and reusing of old clothing in different ways we are using our imagination, so it is essentially a celebration of expressing ourselves. It can be a challenge to make old clothing look good. Old pieces of clothing and who might want a chance to bring them back to life. Garments become fashion waste when they no longer fit, cease to appeal visually and ideologically, or are superseded by a superior version. This research aim sees available garment materials as a kind of fabric semi-finished product. It combines with the characters of clothing style and utilizes new design thought and craft to further change available fabric appearance style. Recreating fifteen garments designs waste to give them second life by repurposed, re-construction, re-cut and adding decorative elements (embroidery, stitching, threads, crochet techniques, and discharge printing) to change original appearance for a new fashion trend.

Despite the use of appropriate teaching and learning approaches and the government of investing resources to promote quality education, there is a continuous record of poor academic performance among students in National Examinations in Kenya. There was therefore need for a study to be conducted to establish the factors that affect their performance.The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between Self Esteem and student academic performance. The study was anchored on The Marsh/Shavelson model self-concept. The study employed Ex-post facto research design. The study targeted students from public secondary schools in Nyeri County. Krejcie and Morgan (1970) formula was used to calculate the sample size of the students while Purposive sampling was used to select 25 teacher counselors making a total of 409 respondents. Data was collected using questionnaires, interview schedules and document analysis. The quantitative data from the questionnaire was first be subjected to preliminary processing through validation, coding and tabulation in readiness for analysis with the help of the statistical package for social science (SPSS) to analyze data. Descriptive statistics was presented using frequencies and percentages. Pearson Correlation Coefficient was employed to determine relationship that exists between the independent (Self-esteem) variables and dependent variable (student academic performance). In addition, regression analysis was employed to test the relationships in the study. Qualitative data was transcribed, thematically classified and arranged before they are reported in narrations and quotations according to research objectives. Major findings from the study indicated that there was a significant positive correlation between Self-esteem and student academic performance (r = .800; p = .000) showing a strong correlation between Self-esteem and student academic performance. This study therefore, recommended that there is need for the teachers and education stakeholders in the ministry of education and beyond should give great attention to student self-concept as it affects student academic performance in schools and that schools should promote self-advocacy skills. Strong advocacy skills lead to greater self-confidence. It is also important to for the teachers to understand student background. Schools should design effective feedback mechanism to encourage students to compare present performance against a goal and also against previous performance.

In the present work, the building waste material Red Kotta was treated with sulphuric acid and formaldehyde and used as an adsorbent for the removal of Methylene red from aqueous solution. The adsorption characteristics of Methylene red dye on untreated and treated Red Kotta powder was evaluated as a function of pH, adsorbent dose, initial concentration of adsorbate, contact time and temperature. The effective adsorption was found to be in pH range 2 to7, adsorbent dose 1gm to 5 gm, initial concentration (100ppm to 500ppm) and temperature range (283K to 313K). The results show that Red Kotta powder holds a great potential in removal of Methylene red dye from industrial wastewater.

Wavelet transform or wavelet analysis is a recently developed mathematical tool in applied mathematics. In this paper, A survey on the use of the Haar wavelet method to solve linear and nonlinear integral equations (Volterra, Fredholm, integro-differential equations) is presented. Also, the investigation of Haar wavelet method for solving singular integral equations is presented. Review shows that the Haar wavelet method is efficient and powerful in solving wide class of linear and nonlinear integral equations.

The purpose of regression testing is to ensure that bug fixes and new functionality introduced in a new version of a software do not adversely affect the correct functionality inherited from the previous version. Regression testing is an expensive and frequently executed maintenance process used to revalidate modified software. It is costly but crucial problem in software development. The paper try to do the survey of current research on regression testing and current practice in industry and also try to find out whether there are gaps between them.

Right atrial myxoma is a rare disease and its clinical presentation is not specific. The usual mode of revelation is heart failure. The differential diagnosis of myxoma can be a thrombus, especially in case of atrial fibrillation. Trans-thoracic echocardiography allows diagnosis. Treatment by surgical excision should be done quickly to avoid complications. We present a case of a 44-year-old woman who was admitted to intensive care unit for heart failure. The echocardiography and Computed tomography (CT) showed a right atrial mass mimicking atrial myxoma. She died a few days later.

Dexmedetomidine is an alpha 2-adrenoceptor agonist with sedative, anxiolytic and analgesic properties.1 This article reviews the use of dexmedetomidine in pediatric patients and its use in critical care. We will focus on the clinical experience of the drug in children and its role in sedation in Pediatric intensive care unit and for procedural sedation.
