This study is aimed to determine whether Cooperative Learning Approach will improve the soft skills among university students and to discover the perception of student towards such approach. Data obtained is analyzed by descriptive as well as inferential statistics. Data on demographic were analyzed by means and percentage, while the paired t-test was used to analyze before and after experiencing Cooperative Learning Approach, in which 0.05 a significant level was established to prove that student’s soft-skills has improved. From 9 key competencies of soft skills that being evaluated, surprisingly result shown that students really improved their soft skills after using Cooperative Learning Approach. In sum, Cooperative Learning Approach can be used as instructional classroom strategy in tertiary education as to improve student’s soft skills and thus increasing their employability chances.

The purpose of this paper is to critically examine corporate social responsibility (CSR) in a capitalist society. Its special focus is to investigate CSR as a trend as well as the role of law using different initiatives and dimensions at different level of governance; i.e. national, regional and international levels. This paper employs qualitative method of research, drawing on observation, semi-structured interviews and the use of statistical data from different body of United Nations. Most importantly were observations made at CSR module lectures during my LLM. In CSR movement today, the law is taken shape, although in different form of legal norm which might either be prescriptive or regulatory. The study also found that CSR is a trend and not a passing social fad or a threat to corporate capitalism. That the legal norm definitely has a role to play in any social group without which conflict is rife and that firm’s responsibility to the society is continuous. As the society develops, so also is the need for sustainable economic development expected from corporate industries. This research paper adds to myriads of literature on CSR and capitalism. It suggests the need for legal dimensions and initiative for better ‘performance ‘rather than ticking the boxes. It concludes that the firm, society and the law cannot function effectively in a water tight compartment, the society cannot do without the firm, and the firm needs the law for its existence. Thus the firm needs to balance responsibility to the law and the society for it to achieve its aims.

To prove the efficiency of Amniotic fluid index(AFI) with color of liquor in predicting foetal jeopardy during labour and to select the patient who require continuous monitoring. This is an prospective observational study done during Oct 10 to Sep 12. 200 pregnant women who were booked in this hospital. Out of 200 patients, the incidence of meconium stained liquor with oligohydramnios 61% and Perinatal mortality was 2.5%. We conclude that, in term pregnancies it is a reliable method to assess the perinatal outcome.

This work examined the effect of cultural diversity on organizational performance in manufacturing firms in Anambra State, Nigeria. The study reviewed relevant conceptual, theoretical and empirical literatures. This study is anchored on Resource Based View (RBV). The study adopted survey research design. Cultural diversity religion diversity, language diversity, cultural value system and gender diversity were employed as the explanatory variables while organizational performance was employed as dependent variable. The study adopted survey research design. The population of the study comprised the staff of the selected manufacturing firms in Anambra State. This was found to be 2150. Sample size of four hundred twenty one (421) respondents was selected for the study, using Borg and Gall (1973) formula. Questionnaire was employed as the main instrument of data collection. The data generated were analyzed using frequency, percentage analysis, descriptive statistics, correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis. The study found that religion diversity had a significant negative influence on organizational performance in manufacturing firms. Language diversity had a significant positive influence on organizational performance in manufacturing firms. Gender diversity had a significant positive influence on organizational performance in manufacturing firms. Cultural Value system diversity had a significant positive influence on organizational performance in manufacturing firms. The study concluded that culture diversity has a significant effect on organizational performance. The study therefore recommends that there is a dire need to ensure that all employees are given an opportunity to practice their religion. In order to avoid conflict, the companies need to have its values in line with the employee cultural values. The company needs to conduct training on how to minimize communication barriers. Gender discrimination should be abolished in the workplace. Being a female does not make a woman less mentally fit compared to her male counterparts.

An unique poisoning case leading to death by imipramine. Quantitative analysis of imipramine and was performed by liquid chromatography. The concentration of imipramine was 16.60 µg /ml in the collected blood sample during post mortem examination.

In recent decades the tourism sector has grown rapidly to become a pillar of the global economy, political cooperation, social change and far - reaching advances in technology; both in communications and infrastructure. Tourism has closely been connected to progress of ICTs for over 30 years. With increasing complexity of tourism business models and tasks, there is a clear need of the next generation in tourism sector. Therefore, we proposing here new structure e-tourism which can support flexible automation, integration, computation, storage, and collaboration. In every year, millions of pilgrims visiting our Holy City, But on the part of tourism and development, Saudi Arabia is less than Europe, America and Asia in the sector of tours and travel development. There is no much significance research proposal or article on e-tourism & development in our Saudi Kingdom. This paper deals with e-tourism, innovation and designing proposal suitable for Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Also we discussed about problems and solutions related to the e-tourism sector adoptable by the industry and government organization in Saudi Arabia.

This work designs the rotor wind turbine, which uses more effectively for the wind energy and depends on the acting area of the vanes. The frame design consists of three movable vanes to reduce the negative torque of the frame that rotates contrary to the wind. The wind tunnel is used to measure the power coefficient, torque coefficient and angular velocity as a function of wind velocity. The power coefficient is measured experimentally to be equals to 18% and 21% for three and four frames, respectively. The rotor wind turbine is applicable internationally due to its high efficiency, simple construction, and simple technology.

A new indoor rearing device made up of polythene sheet with bamboo framework had been fabricated and, evaluated for maintenance of leaf freshness of detached twigs of Som plant (Persea bombycina Kost) and its indoor rearing performance of early stages of Muga silkworm (Antheraea assamensis Helfer). The device has a leaf bed platform and aeration system in one side of it. The device maintained high relative humidity while water soaked foam pads were used inside it. By keeping such foam pads inside for different periods the relative humidity inside the device could be raised conveniently. While water soaked foam pads were kept inside the device for 24 hours prior to twigs keeping and their continuous presence inside, raised the leaf moisture content dramatically to 63.094% over initial 56.233% at ‘0’ hours. After 24 hours leaf moisture content gradually decreased that became stable around its initial state throughout the rest period. As a result of almost no loss of leaf moisture, the leaf of the detached twigs of Som plant remained fresh inside the device for continuous five days. Muga silkworm larvae were reared indoor on detached twigs of Som plant in this device and 85.37% larvae of third instars were successfully released on outdoor tree. Larvae exhibited normal growth as measured by their body weight. Prevailing market rate of fabrication is also low restricting at Rs.39.00 per device. Thus, the device is found as an ideal one for early instars indoor rearing of Muga silkworm.

The purpose of this study was to assess the effects of entrepreneurial factors namely; financial, psychological and social factors on women entrepreneurs in Kenya. This has been achieved through addressing five specific objectives namely; examine the effects of financial factors on women entrepreneurs in Eldoret Municipality, establish the influence of psychological factors on women entrepreneurs in Eldoret Municipality, determine the effect of sociological factors on women entrepreneurs in Eldoret Municipality, examine if experience influences significantly women entrepreneurs in Eldoret Municipality and determine if education level influences significantly women entrepreneurs in Eldoret Municipality. The study sampled 184 businesses owned by women out of the targeted population of 424 registered women MSMEs in Eldoret Municipality’s records. The sample was arrived at using stratified sampling at first to categorize businesses into; micro, small and medium enterprises. Proportionate simple sampling was carried out to select a representative of each group and finally random sampling was done to get required respondents. 156 responses were recorded representing 85% of the sample. The study was the survey design that involved descriptive and inferential statistics in the process of addressing its objectives. This method of investigation was found appropriate since it could provide in-depth information on the effects of entrepreneurial factors on women entrepreneurs in Eldoret municipality.

Eslicarbazepine acetate is a third generation, single enantiomer [(S)-(-)-10-acetoxy-10,11-dihydro-5H-dibenz[b,f]azepine-5-carboxamide] member of the commonly prescribed first-line antiepileptic drugs (AEDs), formerly known as BIA 2-093, is a novel central nervous system (CNS)-active compound with anticonvulsant activity. It is a prodrug which is activated to eslicarbazepine (S-licarbazepine), an active metabolite of oxcarbazepine. Eslicarbazepine acetate is used as an adjunctive therapy in adult patients with partial onset seizures. It behaves as a voltage-gated sodium channel (VGSC) blocker and is currently marketed for the treatment of epilepsy. Eslicarbazepine acetate shares with carbamazepine and oxcarbazepine the dibenzazepine nucleus bearing the 5-carboxamide substitute, but is structurally different at the 10,11-position. This molecular variation results in differences in metabolism, preventing the formation of toxic epoxide metabolites such as carbamazepine-10,11 epoxide. This drug is considered as an adjunct to carbamazepine and oxcarbazepine.
