A high molecular weight linear unbranched polymers free of macrocycles has been synthesized by long polycondensation time under high-intensity mixing conditions at about 80°C between cheaper chloro-monomers (instead of fluorinated monomers)1 and 5,5’,6,6’-tetrahydroxy-3,3,3’,3’-tetramethylspirobisindane (TTSBI). From the porosity analysis, it is clear that the prepared polymers are analogous to polymers of intrinsic microporosity (PIMs) with high surface area (500-700 m2/g). The hydrogen storage capacity of the prepared PIM-Cl(1-7) and were promising (up to 1.19 wt%, 77 K, at 1.13 bar). The results of this study demonstrate that controlling polymerization condition can provide a uniform microporous morphology in the target polymers.

The novel ligand, 2-(6-(2-hydroxy phenyl)-[1,2,4] triazolo [3,4-b][1,3,4] thiadiazol-3-yl)-N-phenyl benzamide (TTS) (2) was prepared from 2-(4-amino-5-mercapto-4H-1,2,4-triazol-3-yl)-N-phenylbenzamide (1) with salicyldehyde. The transition metal ions were used to synthesize various metal chelates of ligand (2).The synthesized ligand and its metal chelates were analyzed by elemental analysis, spectral study, ratio of M:L and magnetic characterization. Antifungal activities of the entire novel synthesized ligand and its metal chelates were screened.

Kenya has identified the critical role of TVET in preparing, developing and updating the skills and competences to meet the needs of the changing industrial environment. The purpose of this study was to investigate the teacher factors affecting implementation of curriculum in technical and vocational education and training institutions in Uasin Gishu County, Kenya. The target population of the study was 250 respondents comprising of 10 principals, 240 instructors. A sample size of 75 respondents was selected. Stratified purposive and simple random sampling techniques was employed. Questionnaires were used to collect data. Data was analyzed pearson product moment correlation. Findings of the study showed that there was a significant influence of tutor qualification (r=0.555, p =0.00) and tutor experience (r= 0.445, p =0.000) on implementation of curriculum in TVETs. The teacher qualifications and teaching experience influence the implementation of Technical Curriculum. The study concluded that teacher qualifications, teaching experience influence the implementation of Technical Curriculum. TVET colleges should employ more qualified teachers in order to enhance teacher competence in order to spur and sustain students’ interest in technical education. The management should build the capacity of teachers to ensure that community colleges have an experienced pool of teachers that can effectively implement the Technical Curriculum.

Concern has grown regarding the behavior among adolescent on society with the level of their life satisfaction. Ecological theory predicts that family, friend, environment, school and self concept may influence the behavior of adolescent on their stage of human development. The current paper explored the impact of life satisfaction towards the level of committing to antisocial behavior among 126 males and 266 female preschool adolescent (N = 400) in Miri, Sarawak. Result indicates that the effects on adolescent life satisfaction with family have negatively associated with the committing to antisocial behavior meanwhile the adolescent life satisfaction on environment didn’t affect the adolescent committing to antisocial behavior.

The Uganda Vision 2040 is a blue print identifying the development paths and strategies to operationalise Uganda’s Vision statement which is to transform the Ugandan from a peasant to a modern and prosperous country within 30 years. The vision aims at transforming Uganda from a predominantly peasant and low-income country to a competitive upper middle-income country. This paper explored how higher education can contribute to the achieving of the Uganda vision 2040. The findings indicated that higher education influences development of improved technology, knowledge transfer, promotes national unity, promotes democracy, supports innovation and increase productivity which are all important if Uganda is to achieve the Vision 2040. Thus, this paper suggests that for higher education to contribute the achieving of Uganda Vision 2040, it is necessary for the government of Uganda to engage higher education in the process of implementing the vision 2040. The government of Uganda also needs to support the institutions of higher education such that they are able to develop the capacities they need to be able to help the country achieve its Vision 2040.

The present study was conducted to study the effect of Structure Reviewing strategy as a direct vocabulary learning strategy on reading comprehension skill. To fulfill the purpose of the study, a language proficiency test was administrated to100 male and female university students who studied in a course other than English as their major in Omidiyeh Islamic Azad University. Ultimately, thirty pre-intermediate students were selected and assigned into two experimental and control groups. The experimental group was taught vocabulary through Structure Reviewing as a direct vocabulary learning strategy for developing their vocabulary storage in reading comprehension. After ten sessions of treatment, the two groups were given a post-test of an achievement vocabulary test. Data analysis was conducted through samples t-test statistics. It demonstrated that the experimental group who utilized Structure Reviewing as a direct vocabulary learning strategy outperformed the control group.

Water quality parameters from three sampling stations in Ikpa River, Nigeria were investigated for a period of 12 calendar months from March 2009 to February 2010. ANOVA result showed that all the parameters were significantly different (P<0.05) except transparency and pH. Sampling station and month effect on the parameters showed significance by LSD means separation in all parameters (P<0.05) except air temperature, transparency and pH, thus, some were highly significant while others were significant. pH values in all the stations remained the same indicating uniformity from the upstream to downstream. PC 1 and 2 axes in the combined stations indicated clusters of PO4-P, NO3-N and SO42- which showed that they have high positive correlations with each other, thus, there is inferred eutrophication and subsequent pollution. AT and WT showed high positive correlation in clustering together in all the stations indicated the effect of climate change which is a global environmental menace due to the increased of the earth’s surface. High positive correlation of FCO2 and BOD indicated low dissolved oxygen which endangers the lives of aquatic fauna. The clustering of TDS and transparency together was an indication of high ionic constituents of the water, thus, inferring nitrification. CCA showed effect of environmental factors on phytoplankton species and the main source of pollution to be from organic materials. Seasonal variability showed higher factor loadings during the dry season than during the wet season (P<0.05). Temporal variableness had highest factor loadings occurring in February (P<0.05). The total number of families, genera and species of phytoplankton sampled were 7, 67 and 106 respectively.

 In this research to estimate of the forming energy of Zn-Ferrite were used of the isothermal reaction by using Avrami equation and Avrami Ozawa for Non-Isothermal reaction in use Flow Injection Synthesis reactor, whether as Isothermal or non-isothermal. According the methods above can be obtainedthe formation energy of Zn-Ferrite. In this research have be done four time isothermal experiments at the temperature 60 0C,70 0C and 80 0C respectively. The sampling of experiment data have be done effectively using pH data logger where both pH and temperature were written in SD card memory automaticallyin form Excel format. As a result the formation enthalpy (?H) 4.2 kcal / mol with entropy (S) 12.6 cal / mol deg and 3:14 density gr / cc,respectively

V-Trough solar simulator (VTSS) was designed and constructed at Measurements lab of Annamalai University and its performance was analyzed on indoor test facility. Integrating the heat pipe with V-Trough absorber plate can improve the system performance. VTSS system uses three different heat pipes such as circular, semicircular and Elliptical of same length 900 mm and diameter of 18 mm, 22 mm, 24 mm respectively. The experiment had been conducted by changing the heat pipes of the collector (VTSS). The output responses such as heat output, thermal resistance and overall efficiency has been analyzed with respect to each heat pipe experimentally by using commercial Design of Expert version DX 9 software by using Box- Behnken design of Response Surface Method (RSM). Contour diagram shows the factors effecting and thermal behaviour of the heat output, thermal resistance and overall efficiency has been shown. From the mathematical results and RSM optimization it is concluded that experimental setup integrated with circular heat pipe gives higher heat output and overall efficiency with less thermal resistance.
