Consequently, assessing the relationship between diversification and performance has attracted a lot of attention, due to its continued importance in corporate growth and better financial performance. This study explores the relationship between the Diversification strategy and measures of performance; Total turnover, Profitability, Sales Volume and Capacity Utilization in the context of sugar companies. Study findings leads to the conclusion that diversification strategy has significant predictive influence on performance in most performance measures except total turnover. Findings show significant increase in profitability and capacity utilization through companies’ involvement in unrelated production activities while sales volume increases through related production activities.

CORONARY SPASM, Does it exist on healthy coronary artery?
The incidence of coronary spasm appears to be decreasing, probably due to the widespread use of bradycardia calcium channel blockers, statin, and reducing smoking also. Many studies have shown the pathological association of atheroma plaque and coronary spasm. The new imaging techniques: Optical coherence tomography (OCT) and Intravasculaire ultrasound (IVUS), allows accurate analysis of arterial tunnels. In this article, we report a case of a patient who presented with refractory spastic angina, wich was complicated by acute coronary syndrome many month later.

Pneumothorax: an aspect of pulmonary barotrauma during mechanical ventilation of acute respiratory distress syndrome
Acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) is characterized by bilateral pulmonary lesions and poor lung compliance. Its basic treatment is mechanical ventilation. However, this last can lead to serious complications, including pulmonary barotrauma. Barotrauma is favored both by the underlying pulmonary pathology and by the use of excessive pressures delivered by the ventilator. The incidence of barotrauma during ARDS no longer exceeds 10% since the advent of tidal volume reduction and plateau pressure limitation.

It is well known that a rapid growth in educational attainment is the most successful medium for social empowerment of the disadvantaged. The path towards our goal of achieving progress and prosperity of the nation is necessarily through equipping the backward sections through knowledge and skills. They need to be empowered by equipping them with self-sufficiency and existence skills such as Self Confidence, Problem Solving Ability, Logical thinking, Decision Making Power, Computational Speed and Reasoning etc. The present paper throws light on the Supreme power of Vedic Mathematics in enhancing these skills.

Inflated multi-layered energy-efficient clustering method for Ad hoc distributed wireless sensor networks
This study introduces a inflated multi-layered clustering protocol for ad hoc wireless sensor networks (WSNs), where the size of clusters is variable. So that the closer clusters to the base station (BS) have a smaller size than farther ones. Moreover, in each cluster, using some intelligent fuzzy rules and in a decentralized way, a novel sub tree strategy is determined. In this way, some parent nodes are chosen that are responsible for collecting and aggregating data from their adjacent or dinary nodes and sending them to its cluster head, directly or via other parent nodes, which substantially decreases intra-cluster communication energy costs. Furthermore, these two compatible techniques can fairly mitigate the hot spot problem resulting from multi-hop communication with the BS. The simulation results demonstrate that the proposed protocol outperforms two energy-efficient protocols named DSBCA and LEACH in terms of functional network longevity for both small-scale and large-scale sensor networks.

Attention span and refocus time in MCQ for elementary school’s students
Performance of students in MCQ examination depends on the attention span of students. Students’ understanding on test item depends on their focus time. Small attention span means students will attempt fewer item of test tools as they will face problem is understanding them. It has been found that attention of students is best at the start of the MCQ test and minimum towards the last items of the test tool. It has been found that there are refocus peaks in regular interval, where students regains their focus during MCQ test. It has been also found that pattern of attention span and refocus time doesn’t depend on difficulty level of test tool.
