Quantum ab-initio study, Thermodynamic analysis and Frontier Molecular Orbital of Exalite-392A
In this article computational study by using DFT on Exalite – 392A is reported. The quantum mechanical analysis of various energies of molecule in ground state was calculated by using DFT technique. The effect of the solvent on optimized geometry, Mulliken charge distribution in ground and excited state were analysed. With the help of computed highest occupied molecular orbital (HOMO) - lowest unoccupied molecular orbital (LUMO) gap of Exalite – 392A in different medium, we can analysed solvation energy, ionization potential, electron affinity, chemical hardness, electron chemical potential, electronegativity and global electrophilic. UV-Vis spectrum was obtained by using TDDFT technique. The total electron density (TED), potential distribution over molecule by electrostatic potential (ESP) positions of molecule were obtained from molecular electrostatic potential (MEP) and frontier molecular orbitals (FMO) simulated. Main objective is to determine their electronic, thermodynamic and spectroscopic parameters on the basis of the DFT quantum chemical studies and also we are studying the effect of solvent and solute-solvent interactions. This molecule is helpful in designing of lasers.

Relationships between extrusion conditions and system parameters of extrusion cooking of cassava and soybean blends: Application of response surface analysis
Blends of cassava flour and partially defatted soybean meal were processed in a single-screw extruder. Experimental design with feed moisture (16, 20, 24 g water/100g flour), amount of soybean (10–30 g soybean/100g flour) and barrel temperature (120, 145, 170 oC) as independent variables leading to 17 combinations that were studied using Box-Behnken Design of response surface methodology to investigate the effect of these input variables on extruder system parameters, namely: product temperature, residence time, machine throughput and specific mechanical energy. The recorded values for all responses varied from 121 to 175 oC, 42.34 to 65.11 seconds, 3.65 to 4.56 kg/hr and 159.01 to 213.63kJ/kg, respectively. Second-order polynomials were used to model the extruder responses as a function of process variables. All three variables affected responses significantly especially their linear terms (p<0.05) and all the fitted models were significant (p<0.05) and correlated well with experimental data (R2 ? 0.934).

Ruthenium nanoparticles functionalized chemically reduced graphene for analytical detection of hydrogen peroxide
A novel method for analytical detection of H2O2 based on ruthenium nanoparticles (RuNPs) functionalized chemically reduced graphene (CRGR) nanocomposite is developed. The RuNPs/CRGR nanocomposite was characterized employing different techniques, such as transmitted electron microscope (TEM), cyclic voltammetry (CV) and chronoamperometry (CA). The RuNPs/CRGR nanocomposite sensor exhibits higher catalytic effect to H2O2 by greatly enhancing the reduction peak current and completely eliminating the interference of other species as compared with a bare electrode. A fast amperometric response was observed by the RuNPs/CRGR electrode with a linear range from 10 to 170 µM and lower detection limit of 0.16±0.01 µM as compared to some other reports. The high reproducibility, specificity as well as long time stability obtained with the proposed sensor indicated that the present method is an effective for H2O2 determination.

Second Life
This paper discusses Second Life, an interactive platform where college students can take advantage of learning opportunities. My interest in distance education presents Second Life as a very useful platform that could promote education at the university level. Through a very modern internet interactive platform, it has the potential of becoming a very useful avenue where virtually all subjects can be addressed. As an educator, I have found the use of Second Life more positive than negative. Second Life helps the students to explore the world around them using the virtual world, by combining the use of games and other interactive instruments. Virtual worlds are not limited to games, but, depending on the degree of immediacy presented, can encompass computer conferencing and text-based chat rooms. Literature shows that there is an ever-increasing growth of people accessing Second Life for educational advantages.

Security-Constrained Optimal Power Flow in an Electric Distribution Network
This paper evaluates the benefits of operating an electric distribution network in a security-constrained optimal power flow (SCOPF) in order to mitigate against possible blackout in an N-1 contingency. A 16-bus UKGDS network was used for the analysis. An SCOPF was performed on the network by introducing N-1 line contingency to the network and this resulted to constraints violations. The infeasibility in the solution occurred due to the radial nature of the network. The operation of SCOPF is realized in a mesh network system, which was done by connecting branches between bus 5-7 and bus 12-16 to the network. The system was simulated to operate in SCOPF and N-1 line contingency was inserted to the network to test for constraint violation/ feasibility of the system. This resulted in feasible solution in all the line contingencies with no constraint violation.

Seeds oils of the most consumed Cucurbitaceae in Benin: Phytochemistry and antimicrobial activities
Citrullus lanatus, Cucumeropsis edulis and Lagenaria siceraria are three species of squash widely cultivated and used in food in Benin. The aim of this study is to determinate the physicochemical characteristic and antimicrobial activities of their seeds oil. Oils were obtained by Soxhlet extraction; their quality index were evaluated according to the methods listed in the ‘’AFNOR’’. The oil yield of the seeds of the three cucurbits ranged from 36.23 to 42.28%, the moisture contents of the seeds oils ranged from 0.47 and 0.98%. In terms of quality index, the values are between: 5.04-14.58 mg/g for acid value, 31.70 - 31.86 % for iodine, 1.65 - 8.42 meqO2/Kg-oil for peroxide value, 50.49 - 75.73 mg KOH/g-oil saponification and for ester 40.39 - 70.68%. Their calculated calorific value varies between 44611.05 and 45717.65 Kj /Kg-oil). AAS revealed that these oils had low content of Iron, Manganese and Potassium and do not contain Sodium at all. HPLC showed that the three oils are good sources of fat-soluble vitamins (A, E and K1) with 6.18 mg/100g vitamin E in Citrullus lanatus seeds oil and K1 (0.83 mg / 100g). They were all bacteriostatic and fungistatic on the strains explored but Citrullus lanatus and Cucumeropsis edulis oils had an antibiotic power on Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus.

Selection The Most Suitable Species type for stabiliting sand dunes in dealing with the spread of desertification for environmental sustainability using TOPSIS method (Case study: Chah Jam Erg in South of Haj Ali Gholi Playa in Central part of Semnan Province, Iran)
The protection of environment and natural resources has high importance in achieving sustainable development. Desertification is one of the major issues threatening human communities. This phenomenon threatens about 40% of the global land surface and has influenced the life of 785 million people. In recent years, desertification control and reduction have been the most important projects in national and international organizations. Many methods have been developed for assessment and mapping of desertification hazards. Decision making problem is the process of finding the best option from all of the feasible alternatives. In almost all such problems the multiplicity of criteria for judging the alternatives is pervasive. That is, for many such problems, the decision maker wants to solve a multiple criteria decision making (MCDM) problem. Purpose of this study is ranking of plant species in order to stabilize sand dunes in dealing with the spread of desertification.according this research Haloxlylon Species with (0/943) point promotes in first rank among 7 studied Species and thus it is the most appropriate Species for stabilize sand dunes in dealing with the spread of desertification and Alhagi maurorum with (0/020) point goes down to the last rank and so it isn`t suitable for stabilize sand dunes and Species (Salsola Kali, Peganum harmala, Seidlitzia rosmarinus, Astragalus, Tamarix hispida) with (0/629, 0/559, 0/485, 0/394, 0/329) points are located in next ranks.
