Primes are the building blocks of integer universe. Prime numbers plays a major role in number theory. This paper is a detailed survey on prime numbers.This describes different types of primes and some testing methods. In addition to that, we have constructed MATLAB programs using popular primality tests to determine a given positive integer is prime or not. Further, this concises the definitions regarding prime numbers, history of prime numbers, distribution of prime numbers, some mathematical occurrences and open questions concerning prime numbers. Moreover, the usage of primes in nature and in the real life has been considered.

This paper discusses the processes that English loanwords into EkeGusii undergo in the process of being accommodated into the EkeGusii phonological system. The data used in the paper is from native speakers of EkeGusii and Optimality Theory (here after OT) is used in the analysis of the data. This paper is different from most papers of the kind in that it uses a constraint based theoretic framework unlike others which either do not use any theoretical framework (Mberia, 2004 among others) or use rule based theories when they do (Zivenge 2009 among others). The paper focuses on two phonological processes: re-syllabification, i.e. syllabic change and phoneme change. For example, the paper discusses whether EkeGusii Phonology maintains the CV syllable structure when nativizing English loanwords with consonant clusters CnV (where n = 2, 3 or 4 consonants), given that EkeGusii language does not allow consonant clusters. For instance the English word ‘tractor’ - /tr?.kt?/ is realized as ekeragita [e.ke.ra.?i.ta], with a V.CV.CV.CV.CV syllable form. Thus for the English word ‘tractor’ to be accepted into the phonological system of EkeGusii, it has to undergo syllable re-adjustment. Notice that in the English form, the word has two syllables which are CCV.CCV, while in EkeGusii they are five, the first one being V. while the rest are CV.CV.CV.CV. Other adjustments include: vowel epenthesis to break the consonant clusters /tr/ and /kt/.

ZnO nanorods were successfully fabricated by using the chemical precipitated method. We report the synthesis and characterization of several sizes of ZnO nanocrystals, both in the free standing and the capped particle forms. The sizes of these nanocrystals could be controlled by capping them with polyvinylpyrollidone and were estimated by X-ray diffraction and transmission electron microscopy. The chemical compositions of the products were characterized by FT-IR spectroscopy. UV -Vis absorption spectroscopy measurements reveal that the capping of ZnO leads to blue shift due to quantum confinement effect.PL emission spectrum of PVP encapsulated ZnO shows red shift due to defect oriented emission. The morphology of the particles was evaluated by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and Transmission electron microscopy (TEM). Both the thermo gravimetric analysis (TGA) and differential thermal analysis (DTA) curves of the ZnO show that no further weight loss and thermal effect were observed at a temperature of above 510?C.

Despite the great emphasis laid on the importance of being critical, it is not really known whether English teachers are all aware of Critical pedagogy principles in ELT or whether different components of ELT curriculum, widely practiced in educational system, including material development, teaching styles and strategies, and testing methods and outcomes are consistent with principles of critical pedagogy. Therefore the present study was carried out to substantiate the relationship between the teachers’ critical thinking and their awareness of critical pedagogy principles as the vital essence of language teaching (Birjandi & Bagherkazemi, 2010; Braa & Callero, 2006; Canagarajah, 1999, 2003). To fulfill this aim, measures of critical thinking ability of 112 Iranian EFL teachers, obtained by the Farsi version of Watson–Glaser Critical Thinking Appraisal, Form YM (Watson–Glaser, 1961), were estimated and compared with the data collected through Critical Pedagogy Questionnaire (Maki, 2011). A statistically significant correlation between these two measures (r= 0.55, p ? 0.01) was indicated through analysis done by Pearson Product–moment correlation. The findings of this study provide insight into the effective teaching and present suggestions for further research.

Ranges of two vital environmental factors like temperature and relative humidity (RH) were utilized to assess their impacts on the life-history parameters such as immature development (hrs), adult emergence (%) and sex-ratio (male: female) in the mulberry silkworm Bombyx mori L. under laboratory conditions. Disease-free layings (DFLs) from M2P2 variety of the silkworm were reared in a digitalized environmental growth chamber (EGC) at 25°-38° C and corresponding 60-95% RH to record the incubation, larval and pupal developmental periods (in hrs), and subsequent adult emergence and sex-ratio. Results revealed that the rise in temperature and RH significantly (P<0.001) shortened the immature developmental periods in the experimental insects, but the adult emergence and sex-ratio were not affected (P>0.05), even though the number of males outnumbered the females. Negative coefficient of correlation (r) values existed between the environmental factors and all the life-history parameters of B. mori, suggesting further that elevated temperature and RH had adverse impacts on the reproductive biology of this commercially important species. Relevance of the present findings to the climate change issues on the silkworm productivity has been discussed.

This study aimed to investigate the relationship between personality characteristics, based on the Five Factor Model of personality, mental health, Azad University of Chaloos, was performed. Our results indicate that, between physical symptoms, personality characteristics (extraversion, accountability, consistency and Welcome ), a significant positive correlation, and between social functioning, personality characteristics (extraversion, responsibility flexibility, adaptability and Welcome ), a significant positive correlation, and between anxiety symptoms, personality characteristics (extraversion, accountability, consistency and Welcome ), a negative relationship, and the symptoms of depression, personality characteristics (extraversion, accountability, consistency and Welcome ), a negative relationship, and the personality trait of neuroticism, positive and significant relationship, and the total score of mental health, personality characteristics (extraversion, accountability, consistency and Welcome ) there is a significant positive relationship.
