Emerging trends in Indian rural market
Rural markets have become integral part of global market. The negative impact of all the recent economic crisis on urban India has been more than offset by encouraging performance in rural areas. To explore and understand rural market is crucial for any marketers today. Rural market is like goldmine with lot of difficulties. This needs to formulate a well designed strategy to feel the pulse of the rural consumers and to tackle the mystic rural market. Many companies go to rural markets, still to make money, not to guide or help or develop rural consumers. The rural marketers must think rural for long-term success instead of short-term profit. In this context this paper highlights the emerging trends and challenges in Indian rural Market.

Enhancement of Traffic Capacity at High Data using MIMO Technology
MIMO technology plays a vital role in wireless communication which uses multiple antennas at both transmitter and receiver side. As the demand of data rate is increasing day by day, there is a need of high throughput, wide coverage, capacity and improved reliability. Integration of OFDM with MIMO holds the potential to drastically increase the data rate in future wireless communication system without increasing the transmit power and bandwidth. In this paper we mainly focus on the advantage of using MIMO-OFDM system and the drawback of using SISO, SIMO, MISO systems which have been verified using simulation. Performance of the systems is measured with respect to BER, capacity and finally the data rate is determined. The simulation results are obtained using MATLAB/SIMULINK software.

EOQ model with package cost
Today the world is at the risk of environmental disarray. The main reason is population explosion. The result of the uncontrollable population, forces us to maintain the inventory of all products at a higher level. The suppliers are comparatively lesser than buyers. To retain the confidence of the buyers, the suppliers seek logistics and packaging for the deliverance of the goods to the customers at the right time and in the right manner respectively. This paper deals with an Economic Order Quantity model (EOQ) which associates the package cost along with the costs of ordering, purchasing and holding. The need for packaging and the impact of its inclusion in the classical EOQ model together with transportation cost are discussed.

Evaluation of Level of Implementation of Quality Control Programme in Diagnostic Radiology facilities in Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria
The level of implementation of quality control program (QCP) in diagnostic radiology facilities in Akwa Ibom state, Nigeria, was investigated. A total of thirty (30) diagnostic radiology centres took part in the study. A two part structured self completion questionnaire of thirty six items was the instrument used for data collection. Result shows that the level of implementation of quality control programme (QCP) in these diagnostic radiology facilities was low, importance of QC to the facility and radiation safety notwithstanding. This low level of implementation of QCP was identified with some fundamental factors namely, lack of radiation safety officers (RSO), lack of retraining programme for the medical personnel, lack of adequate funding, power and QC test equipment for the facilities. The aim of this investigation is to study the level of implementation of quality control programme which enhances radiation protection in diagnostic radiology facilities.

Factors Affecting Teenagers’ Adjustment in Educational Institutions and Home Environment
Present study aims to investigate the determinants of the factors affecting the adjustment of teenagers at school and home. For any growing child the school and home play a major role in fulfilling its growth needs, since growth is dependent upon these immediate environments. Using the cross sectional data, collected through the questionnaire, of 60 students of age 16 years to 19 years from various public and private schools. Collected data was as analysed with the help of various statistical tests. The results reveal the positive and significant association among the adjustment and the indicators of both school and home environment. The overall highest value of correlation coefficient is found to be .505 for toilet facility while the lowest value is .231 for communication gap with parents. The role of parents’ education, age and gender is also crucial. The study also shows that mostly students are facing home sickness while they are in schools. The teacher’s attitude and school environment are negatively affecting the adjustment of the students. School facilities have positive influence on students’ pleasure. On the basis of findings, the study concludes that the students are somehow adjusted in the school and home environment.

Feasibility of applying acoustic and ANN in date separating
In distinguishing two sizes of three Iraniandry date cultivars, the acoustic system and artificial neural network was combined for the first time. Various features obtained from sound analysis were entered as ANN input set. Appropriate features have significant effect in final result of the network. Frequency features of sound signals are computed via a 1024-point FFT. Fast Fourier Transform (FFT), Phase and Power Spectral Density (PSD) of impact signals were calculated. Several combinations of selected and extracted features were used as input set in a multilayer perceptron neural network with a back propagation algorithm, with 60%-25%-15% of data astraining, validation and testing sets. The optimized MFNN was distinguished Dayiri sizes with 93.687Correct Detection Rate (CDR), Piarum sizes with 81.035 CDR and Zahidisizes with 91.

Floodplain Modeling of River Jhelum Using HEC-RAS : A Case Study
Extreme flood events in river Jhelum are a major disaster in the State of Jammu & Kashmir, India. In the present study HEC-RAS model was applied to two different reaches of river Jhelum located upstream and downstream of the historic city of Srinagar. The vulnerability of important areas and structures corresponding to 25, 50 & 100 year return period flood events was determined. The levels of the bunds of river Jhelum were found to be inadequate at many places for 100 year return period flood. The flood spill channel constructed for safeguarding Srinagar city was found to be ineffective for conveying optimized flow.

Fuzzy logic, PI and ANN in improvement of power quality using unified Power quality conditioner
The unified power quality conditioner (UPQC) is being used as a universal active power conditioning device to mitigate both current and voltage harmonics at a distribution side of power system network. This paper emphasis enhancement of power quality by using UPQC with fuzzy logic controller(FLC)and proportional- integral(PI)controller. The main purpose of the proposed (FLC)is capable of providing good static and dynamic performances compared to PID controller.

Green buildings- prospects and potential
In India Green Buildings have got good results and benefits. The benefits include reduction in power consumption of 20-40% and 30-40% reduction in the consumption of portable water. The Indian Green Building Council (IGBC) has validated the benefits. IGBC has totally wiped the notion that Green Buildings are costlier. Green Buildings has got the benefits like high productivity of the occupants, safety of occupants and also best operating practices fro day one. Green Buildings can be constructed with an incremental cost of 1-7%. Many Green Buildings have been monitored for the past 5 years on the view of energy savings. The new technologies , various methods and issues faced during the implementation and solving them were discussed.

Hybrid approch for detection of event in sleep EEG
The wide variety of waveforms in EEG signals and the high non-stationary nature of many of them is one of the main difficulties to develop automatic detection systems for them. In sleep stage classification a relevant transient wave is the K-complex. This report comprehends the developing of new Fuzzy_Neural algorithm in order to achieve an automatic K-complex detection from EEG raw data. The Fuzzy c-means algorithm is used for the rough and rapid recognition of K-complex and the Neural Network classifier does the exact evaluation on the detected K-complex. This Pattern recognition technique is a hardware independent solution for the biomedical signal processing field. This represents a significant criterion for the objective assessment of a patient’s sleep quality.
