Genotoxic potentials of three commonly used medicinal plants (Cola nitida, Ocimum gratissimum and Monodora myristica) were assessed on D. melanogaster. Eight generations of D. melanogaster were cultured on over-ripe banana paste with inclusion levels of 0, 2, 4, 6, 8 and 10% (w/w) of the medicinal plants. Mutation rates both on the wing structure and body colouration were dose-dependent and generation-specific; as increase in the dose of treatment, increases the mutation rates as well as the higher the generations. The degree of effects on these structures was also plant-specific, with followed the trend; C. nitida > O. gratissimum > M. myristica. The result revealed that the medicinal plants have genotoxic potentials with C. nitida having the greatest effects; hence they should be consumed with caution.

In a typical class room with students of different learning styles and influences due to cultural or social factors, monitoring the individual student can be enhanced by going through their interaction with each other through a collaborative learning approach. We propose a model of two types of collaborations. The first allows dynamical grouping driven by the students’ performance within heterogeneous (mixing high, medium, low marks achievers) or homogeneous (similar marks achievers). The second type consists of static groups (the students agreed to form fixed groups, not moving from one group to another group). We have applied the two types of model in constructing the knowledge for Java coding for application development through collaborative learning process in which each student has a more or less equal role in bringing out the outputs for the laboratory exercises. Our results prove that the static groups have significant effect in spite of the presence of extra encouragement for participating in dynamic grouping. This result establishes, especially in the context of rural learners in, the evidence of gaining educational benefits from the social interactions and cultural factors.

This paper is aimed at understanding the critical issues like urbanization, population growth, transport demand, growth of vehicles, and air pollution in Urban India. The trends in urban growth are discussed along with the impact of high urban population growth rates on various facets like transport demand, GDP, and its impact on the urban society’s wellbeing. Rapid motorization and urbanization can bring many issues that can endanger the sustainability of Indian cities. This paper reviews the existing urban environmental problems, poor transport system and increasing accidents rate and suggests that High speed railways will be an efficient, economical and environmentally friendly transportation system which can make urban India more sustainable.

The ethanolic fruit extract of Cucumis trigonus Roxb. of family Curcurbitaceae was subjected to isolation and identification of chemical constituents. The extract was purified and isolated by column chromatography and thin layer chromatography (TLC). The isolated compound was then subjected to Infra red spectroscopy (IR) for identification of functional groups, 1H NMR and 13C NMR for identification of protons and carbon atoms. LCMS and elemental analysis were done for identifying the molecular weight and elemental composition of the isolated compound. From the spectra obtained from IR, 1H NMR and 13C NMR, LCMS and elemental analysis, the isolated compound was found to be linolenic acid (C18H30O2) with a molecular weight of 278.43.

Empowerment can be defined as ideas transfer by employees about their jobs and also the training courses should be conducted to enable employees to assume the key responsibilities associated with their job. To establish a system of empowerment, individual and organizational appropriate aspects must be provided. Effectiveness of complex decisions requirement in today's turbulent business world is employees' participation and if this decision is supposed to lead to the optimum results, it needs team effort of all employees. "Empowerment" is a response to the needs of today's organizations, in the era of empowerment the pervious perception is not remedial. To achieve empowerment programs require organizational culture. In fact, empowerment is like a journey full of challenges. Desired organizational culture support the organization's mission and strategy. In the global economy, most of international organizations have the ultimate combination of Employees from America, Europe, and Asia and ... That each of them with special orientation toward life and work, work together. The main challenge of management 'success today is to assist the employees in such a way that they enjoy of more competitiveness morale in their job and have better communication with global issues and present working opportunities for their organization. In other words, the organizational culture should be such that it will create a framework through which employees could be able to form their feeling toward organizational life. Without the appropriate culture in an organization, empowerment efforts will fail. The study of organizational culture enables managers to collect information, compare sections or working groups with each other, prioritize problems and to identify employees 'perceptions and expectations. Also improve the gap between existing and desired situation. In this article, we indicate to analyze the role of organizational culture on employees' empowerment. The results shows that if the organizational culture be in direction to promote employees empowerment, people will perform their job duties with more motivation and willingness and also if the capabilities of employees be properly used There will be more possibility for creativity and initiative.

Health is the integrative exertion of multiple discipline effective locally, countrywide and internationally to achieve most favorable health for people, animals and the environment. As the human inhabitants continue to augment transversely the world, the crossing point of people, animals and the environment becomes more significant and impactful. For the past few years, the one Health concept has brought together experts in the areas of animal and human health. It has provided a new synthesis for public health and veterinary communities across the world. Health initiatives have majorly focused on veterinarians, medical doctors and public health professional. However, the Environmental Health profession has a major role to play in Health activities based on Uganda's experiences.

Over time, there has been shortfall in the recorded academic performance of undergraduates in Nigeria. This is traced to lazy thinking or cognitive ease and the habit of procrastination which could result from low academic self-regulation. Little is known of cognitive easing as a primogenitor of academic performance. Also, there is dearth of literature on how procrastination influences academic performance in the country. This study therefore fills in the gap by investigating the influence of cognitive ease and procrastination on academic performance among university students in Akungba. Participants 250 (125 males), (125 females) were purposively selected. Cognitive ease was measured using cognitive reflection questionnaire by Shane Fredericks, Procrastination was also measured using the procrastination scale while the Academic performance was measured using students’ CGPA. Results using ANOVA showed no significant influence of cognitive ease and gender on student Academic Performance. However, Procrastination was found to be significant [F (1,190) = 4.09, p < .05]. Based on this finding, it was recommended that psycho-education be provided to assist students combat procrastination especially in academics. Further research on cognitive ease is also encouraged for a conclusive stand on its influence of academic performance.

Existing conventional modes of transportation of people consists of four unique types: rail, road, water, and air. These modes of transport tend to be either relatively slow (e.g., road and water), expensive (e.g., air), or a combination of relatively slow and expensive (i.e., rail). Hyper loop is a new mode of transport that seeks to change this paradigm by being both fast and inexpensive for people and goods. Hyper loop is also unique in that it is an open design concept, similar to Linux. Feedback is desired from the community that can help advance the Hyper loop design and bring it from concept to reality. Hyper loop consists of a low pressure tube with capsules that are transported at both low and high speeds throughout the length of the tube. The capsules are supported on a cushion of air, featuring pressurized air and aerodynamic lift. The capsules are accelerated via a magnetic linear accelerator affixed at various stations on the low pressure tube with rotors contained in each capsule. Passengers may enter and exit Hyper loop at stations located either at the ends of the tube, or branches along the tube length .In this study, the initial route, preliminary design, and logistics of the Hyper loop transportation system have been derived. The system consists of capsules that travel between Amaravathi, Vijayawada and Vijag. The total one way trip time is 35 minutes from county line to county line. The capsules leave on average every 2minutes from each terminal carrying 70 people each (as often as every 30 seconds during rush hour and less frequently at night). This gives a total of 77.4 million people per tube that can be transported each year on Hyper loop. The total cost of Hyper loop is under $6 billion USD for two one-way tubes and 40 capsules. Amortizing this capital cost over 20years and adding daily operational costs gives a total of$20 USD plus operating costs per one-way ticket on the passenger Hyper loop

Malaria is still a problem during pregnancy in Ghana and is associated with maternal anemia, premature delivery, intrauterine growth retardation and low birth weight. Ghana adopted The World Health Organization (WHO) recommendation that all pregnant women living in sub-Saharan Africa countries with stable malaria transmission to receive Intermittent Preventive Treatment during pregnancy (IPTp) using two doses of Sulphadoxine Pyrimethamine, use Insecticide treated bed nets (ITNs) and effective case management. There is a low patronage of prevention tools like ITNs in country. This study aims at determining knowledge of malaria preventive strategies among pregnant women in Tamale Metropolis, Ghana. A cross-sectional hospital based study was conducted between February - May 2011,where a pretested questionnaire was administered to 100 pregnant women atTamale west Hospital who were purposely sampled.100 pregnant women were studied, 93% were knowledgeable about malaria preventive stratergies. Giving the health impact of malaria in pregnancy, there is a need to intensify efforts to provide health education on malaria and preventive measures as well as to encourage preventive practices among pregnant women in the global world.
