Knowledge Management Practices in Education: Indian Scenario
Every academic institution contributes to knowledge. The generated information and knowledge is to be compiled at central place and disseminated among the society for further growth. It is observed that the generated knowledge in the academic institute is not stored or captured properly It is also observed that many a times generated information or knowledge in the academic institute is not known to any one and remains as grey literature, which might be useful if proper recoding is maintained in the organization. In fact academic environment is treasure of knowledge but it is not organized properly and hence utility is also lacking and cause for the repetitions of the activity. This project is undertaken under Board of University and Colleges, University of Pune for finding importance of KM of past knowledge of an institute. Also study on data capture, data analysis, data categorization, data mining, data mapping, knowledge mapping, concept mapping, indexing, linking and repackaging of knowledge, tools, techniques, strategies and copyright issues in sharing this knowledge through knowledge base.

Design and Execute a Real Time Distant Monitoring System
This paper is based on a real time embedded system using ARM7 processor LPC2138 to build a system that helps in achieving remote monitoring of patient's physiological parameters such as Body Temperature, Pulse Rate, Oxygen Saturation in blood and Electronic Cardiogram. If any of the patient's parameters go out of the optimum limits of the human body then an alert SMS is sent to the doctor using a GSM interface and the buzzer is activated on the patient's side to alert the patient's caretaker. The system comprises of low cost transducers for acquiring the parameters and uses MATLAB software to build the GUI for displaying the ECG of the patient on a computer. This system eases the need to keep a patient requiring continuous monitoring at the hospital. The monitoring is achieved by allowing the patient to stay at home.

Influence of 4d Planning in Indian Construction Industry
Construction industry is under constant pressure to increase the quality and speed of its construction delivery processes. Construction planning plays vital role in the development of construction industry. There is still a huge discrepancy between execution and plan. Therefore, an efficient and effective planning method is intensively needed to enhance the project performance and to minimize the risk of cost overrun and delays. In Engineering and Construction, building construction schedule is prepared by visualizing 2D design documents of a building project. This process is difficult to associate components in the 2D documents with their related construction activities, and then visualize the construction sequence. 4D Planning technologies, visually representing the construction schedule along with the 3D model components, has the potential to aid this process by providing a common visual language for Planners. The research presented an assessment based survey to identify knowledge, features, benefits & barriers in implementation of 4D planning in construction project. Better visualization of works, reducing the conflicts between the design/execution were the key benefits in 4D planning as observed from an assessment.

Comparison of Performance Measures of an Integrated H/w and S/w Systems under Priority and Preventive Maintenance
This paper deals with a cold standby redundant integrated h/w and s/w systems with priority, preventive maintenance, maximum operation time and maximum repair time. The system fails completely directly from normal mode. A single repair facility is provided who visits the system immediately. After, a maximum operation time system undergoes for preventive maintenance directly from normal mode. If repair of the h/w is not possible by the server up to a pre-specific time, it is replaced by new one with some replacement time. However, only up-gradation of the software by new one is made whenever s/w fails to execute the desired function properly. In model 1st, no priority is given whereas; in 2nd model, priority is given to s/w up-gradation over h/w repair. The failure time distribution of the h/w and s/w follows negative exponential while the distributions of preventive maintenance, repair, up-gradation and replacement time are taken as arbitrary with different probability density functions. The comparative study of mean time to system failure (MTSF) and profit function of both models have been made graphically with respect to preventive maintenance rate for fixed values of other parameters.

LSF Technology in Building Design & Construction
The adopted strategy to overcome the housing shortage crisis in Iran is the mass production. The way forward to accelerate the mass production, is adopting the industrial building systems with the increased prefabrication. One of the most optimal new building systems is Lightweight Steel Framing (LSF) Technology. Parand Residential Complex as the first serious project to industrialize the construction processes in Iran is facing the various problems during the processes of manufacture and execution of LSF components. The research is to offer an optimized model for the manufacture and execution processes of LSF Technology in the constructive projects. So, the manufacture and execution processes of LSF Technology in the research case-study were taken into consideration to recognize the existing advantages and disadvantages. Finally, offering four strategies to compensate the deficiencies and three strategies to intensify the strengths, a model to coordinate these two processes presented.

Hazardous Effects of Landfill Sites on the Nature and Urban Areas
The industrial arrangement and their basics are unprotected to hazardous environments and therefore behavior should be given a due consideration in the design and execution. Likewise are employed in design of the landfills as impermeable membranes in line for to their low permeability. Clay liners remove or limit the movement of leachate from the landfills. The landfills liners are unprotected to numerous chemical, biological and physical events, due to movement of leachate through them. The properties of pollutants on clays are multipart due primarily to exchange or nature of pore fluid. There are sum of mechanisms through which separate contaminants affect the engineering things. Including chemical reactions such as dissolution or precipitation and physic-chemical occurrences, disturbing intermolecular forces of water solutions. The compressive operative stress in liners, when applied during permeation may performance a key character in controlling the chemically induced changes in hydraulic conductivity and compressibility.

Exploring Influence of IFRS Adoption on Earnings Management in Indian Corporates
Earnings management is a kind of management which uses accounting techniques to meet the executives needs for earnings; it is a widely debated topic, hence it is worth looking at. Experts and professionals in this area found many approaches to detect the earnings management; within these approaches are the accrual-based models which include the modified Jones model, which currently is a favourite model to many researchers. The issue of earnings management has always been an anxiety for the reliability of published accounting reports. In emerging markets, like India due to their relatively weak legal enforcement capabilities, earnings management issue is more universally practiced. The objective of this study is to investigate whether Indian companies adopting international standards (i.e., International Financial Reporting Standards or IFRS) have higher earnings quality compared to non-adopting companies and are less likely to smooth earnings and engage in earnings management with an improvement of reporting quality. Our results clearly indicate that the firms adopting IFRS are unable to control the earnings management and thereby improve Earnings Quality in emerging market of India.

A Legal Analysis of Monitoring in the Political System of the Islamic Republic of Iran
Politics is determination of the will of the government which is the subject of the political sciences and the administration of affairs is execution of the will of the government which is the subject of the administrative sciences. Politics and the public affairs administration are in equilibrium with another. In other words, the administration of the public affairs is a ground for the execution of the government's will and stands against the policy which determines the structure of the public affairs administration. Investigating each of the mentioned instances entails attention to the other. Types of governmental systems based on centralization are centralized, decentralized, condensed and federal and confederate. In the centralized, decentralized and condensed governmental systems, there is a delegation of power from the central government to the local governments, while in the federal and confederate governmental systems there is no such transfer of power. In each of the centralization and decentralization systems, the national state monitors the affairs, but the type and intensity of monitoring will be different. However, the main question relating to the paper is how monitoring is taking place in the political system governing the Islamic Republic of Iran with a look at two common centralized and decentralize systems based on the Islamic Republic of Iran's constitution? In writing this paper, the library method and such tools as note taking and Internet content were applied where each was discussed while collecting data.
