Today, with advances in information and communication technologies and the emergence of information management system, using of these technologies in organizations is inevitable. Therefore, only managers who can invest in areas related to information technology and management system of information will be successful in enterprise management system. However, it is an important discussion that how these investments should be performed or how much it is invested? Moreover, managers must be aware of the effectiveness of using information technology and information management systems. Actually, Information Technology impacts necessary indicators for the success of today’s organization. Therefore, this study investigates the application of IT systems (IT) and management information systems (MIS) on effectiveness of these systems based on users’ view. Among the key indicators of information technology system, some indicators are selected as follows: increasing the speed of work performance, increasing accuracy of work performance, timely retrieval of information, more storage and faster access to information. In addition, the effect of these indices on providing good services in the financial reporting is investigated.

The objective of this research was to explore the effect of Pakistani Television dramas on consumer behavior of Pakistani females and to derive a model for this effect. In order to accomplish this objective survey was conducted using convenience sampling, with a sample size of 250 females. Data was collected through questionnaire consisting of fifteen questions on a likert scale. Results show that Pakistani Television dramas affect consumer behavior of females in Pakistan. There are four factors behind this effect i.e. product liking, influence of dramas on society, viewers trust and trendsetting.

Fish is a vital source of high-quality protein, providing approximately16% of the animal protein consumed by the world’s population (FAO 1997). It is a particularly important protein source in regions where livestock is relatively scarce. Fish supplies less than 10% of animal protein consumed in North America and Europe, but 17% in Africa, 26% in Asia and 22% in China (FAO, 2000). The FAO estimates that about one billion people world-wide rely on fish as their primary source of animal protein (FAO, 2000).

The purpose of this study was to investigate teachers’ perceptions about employing GeoGebra in the teaching and learning of mathematics. The study comprises four respondents who are currently enrolled in a mathematics education course at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. The findings indicate a similar opinion among the respondents according to their experience, with regard to GeoGebra. All respondents agree that the software employs straightforward and comprehensible instructions in addition to offering accurate and simple information. They also agree that the software is user friendly. The respondents on the whole have positive opinions regarding the idea of employing GeoGebra in the teaching of mathematics.

The aim of the present study is the development of an ecofriendly approach to treat sewage or industrial waste containing metal contaminants. The approach utilized cyanobacterial strain “Anabaena variabilis”, raised using exposure to externally applied electricity. Experimental algal cells were used to test for Copper sorption experiments, which were carried out as a function of pH, initial amount of biosorbtant and contact time. At pH 6 the maximum Cu sorption efficiency of live 1g (20.55%), 3g (34.28%) and 5g (51.43%) test sample were observed after 24 hours. Further studies showed a sharp increase in Cu sorption at the end of 4^th day incubation. At the end of 4^th day uptake of copper ions were found to be maximum for 1g (39.74%), 3g (55.47%) and 5g (71.62%) of test cells. Such findings show the possibility of manipulating or over expressing existing resistance mechanisms and the use of such organisms to remove harmful metals from the environment.

Malaria is one of the most severe problems faced by the world even today. The objective of the present report was to make a comparative epidemiological study for the year 2009 and 2010 of malaria endemic blocks of Lakhimpur district of Assam, India to assess the malaria situation. The data have been collected from all block PHC’s under Lakhimpur district. Form the report of malaria cases for 2000-2011, Plasmodium vivax was the predominant parasite species except 2011 where Plasmodium falciparum was the majority parasite. Comparatively we got lowest API and SFR for the year 2010 than 2009. Amongst PHC’s, we saw that the Boginadi PHC, which is a tribal dominated and share border with Arunachal Pradesh, was worse affected by malaria incidence. It was observed that PHC’s sharing interstate border had many more cases compared to those having sharing inter district border. Also we got high malaria cases in foothill/forest fringe areas, where health infrastructure/health awareness is weak and transmission of the disease is high.

DMFC has tremendous potential in serving as a source of clean and renewable energy. Different catalyst combinations are prepared and characterized in DMFC at various operating conditions. The characteristic curves are plotted. Effect of prepared catalyst in DMFC performance is analyzed at load and no load conditions. Demerits of Platinum catalyst is minimized to a great extent by the specially designed catalyst combinations. Based on the DMFC performance, the best catalyst combination (Pt-Ru/C) is identified and analysed in different operating conditions.

Steel tie rods are being used in load carrying components such as steering systems, suspension bridges, spokes of automotive vehicles, etc.. In steel tie rods, the bearing capacity is determined by steel tie rod body strength and also the strength of the threaded connection, which can resist force. The past literature reviewed that work has been done related to triangular and trapezoidal threads and also studied failure analysis of threads. In this paper focus to analyze the failures of different threaded shapes like acme, buttress and modified square. The material has taken for this project is mild steel is2062. The tensile rupture experiments were done to test maximum allowable axial working loads for different numbers of turns of engaged threads. By carrying out these experiments, Found that Maximum and Minimum Displacement at Ultimate Load in Tensile Test. For validating the design, the models were drawn in Catia V5 and analysis was carried using ANSYS 14.0 to find out the axial displacement, von misses stresses, and sliding distance. After careful analysis, concluded that the minimum number of turns of thread engagement to avoid the breakdown of thread connection in the tie rod.

The FMI (Fullbore formation microimager) log provides clear identification of wells geological characteristics. In this study, the identification and interpretation of the structures, texture, lithology, porosity, bedding, lamination, diagenetic processes, porous/non porous layers and determination of facies, sequence stratigraphy and reservoir characteristics in kangan formation, are discussed using FMI logs, thin section, core photograph and porosity logs. The Kangan lower Triassic aged carbonates formation, was deposited in the giant South Pars gas field in the Persian Gulf Basin and consists of limestone, dolomite, anhydritic dolomite, and thin shaly layers facies. The aim of this study is to provide the FMI farcies, sequence stratigraphy and subunits reservoir characteristics changes of Kangan Formation. Based on FMI logs and comparing with thin section, core photograph and porosity logs introduced 12 FMI facies(FF) in kangan formation (Table1). Three major composite depositional sequences have then been defined: K1A, K1B and K2A. They have been further subdivided into 12 depositional units, 6 tight (low reservoir characteristics) and 6 conductive (high reservoir characteristics).

The Kunbi of Uttara Kannada District are divided into two endogamous groups namely Kunbi and Atte Kunbi. They have migrated from Goa and entered Karnataka State through the Coastal region. They are settled down in the five taluks of Uttara Kannada District namely Yellapur, Joida, Karwar, Ankola and Haliyal. They live in the remote parts of the forest. When the somatometric measurements of Kunbi males compared with males of the local population of the present study show significant differences in the majority of the measurements. Thus, Kunbi somatometrically represent different groups in Karnataka.
