This research examines the effects of nationality on attitudes of students to study science and mathematics. The main aim is to identify attitude variations of the students living in different geographical areas of the world with particular focus on students from developing and developed countries. It compares data from ‘Trends in International Mathematics and Science Studies’ (TIMSS) 1996, 1999, 2003, 2007, ‘Relevance of Science Education’ (ROSE) 2004, ‘Programme for International Students Assessment’ (PISA) 2003, 2006, ‘Science and Scientists’ (SAS) 2002. Findings make it clear that students are positive internationally but students in developing countries are more positive than the students in rich and developed countries in science, mathematics, biology and physics with chemistry as an exception. Overall East Asian students are lowest in their attitude scores in integrated science followed by Australia, North America and Western Europe while South East Asian and African Students are on other end followed by North Asia, and Middle East. It is also observed that the students’ interest in science subjects is increasing with the years. For mathematics again the students of East Asia are lowest in their average scores in all international studies followed by West Europe, Australia and East Europe. On the other end are the nations like Africa, South East Asia, and Middle East. It was suggested that instead of only measuring level and dimension of attitudes, large-scale projects must look for the factors behind the tremendous variance that exists among countries, as well as how and when these attitudes change.

Rural development hinges on soci-economic and institutional development of the region and the inhabitants. Inclusion of excluded confirms to sumptuous development and amidst women is considered as one of the strong deterministic pillars to it. The “Action-Oriented Learning (AoL)” is a process led approach of inclusion of marginalized to the mainstream development, and thereby ensures sustainable development. The study is assessing the inclusive impact of “Sustainable Tribal Empowerment Project-(STEP)” executed in four northern districts of the state of Andhra Pradesh to restore the life and livelihood of tribal adhering in-situ  approaches to rural development as well as fostering due cognizance of social-ecological-institutional factors.

The Objectives of this research were : (1) to study the current situation and problems of organizing activities of healthy promotion for aging in Thailand and Japan(2) to study a types of the activities which promotes for aging in Thailand and Japan and (3) to develop activities model for promoting healthy of aging in Thailand by the public participation approach, The methodology was used research and development (R&D). Mixed methodologies are mainly with the qualitative approaches and a supported quantitative approach used in the study comprised the focus group discussion, the meeting for group brainstorming, in-depth interviews and participating observation. About qualitative research, the study used the questionnaire. The target group in Thailand included aging in the community as those who are good in – interaction and being able to participate with the proposed activities, the leader of the community, public healthy volunteers. In Japan included aging in the community, caregivers, academicians and executives in the agency concerned. The results of the research were as follows: The study of the current situation and problems of organizing activities of healthy promotion for aging in Thailand found that the village still did have any aging healthy promotion model with the whole dimensions of aging development. Actually, there were some activities that people with any ages could participate but those activities had been stopped. In Japan found that the activities were healthy activity and social activities. The problem are there were no enough participants , no clear plan ed activities and no budget and stopped when the budget ran out.

Majority of the females in Ethiope East has undergone Female circumcision either while as teenage or at the point of getting married orduring conception. Female circumcision is a practice that needs to be discouraged. This would only be possible through public enlightenment campaigns and sensetisation programs to mother and school students alike. The study focused mainly on the causes of Female Circumcision in the area and the consequences of the practice to the victim and the society at large. The rate of this practice was equally looked at and recommendations were also advanced towards discouraging of this practice. In order to achieve this task, a field survey was carried out with various methods. The use of questionnaires, oral interview, direct observation, and archival methods were used in gathering the data. For convenient purpose, six communities were selected in Ethiope East. The communities are Orhoakpor, Kokori Inland, Okpara Inland, Ovu, Eku and Abraka Inland. The data gathered from the field were presented in tables. The Pearson’s Product Moment Correlation Co-efficient was used for the testing and validity of the data to determine the degree of relationship between the data.

Human life in society is a function of several factors and its quality among various styles is thinking worthy. Definitely student life in Iran has said it has its own style. Separation from family and join them together with the stresses of student life style is one of their alienation. This study aimed to investigate the effect of social self-alienation among students of Islamic Azad University branch of Shoushtar with the survey method done in 2012. The results were analyzed using SPSS. The results of the present study also shows a significant relationship between the variables of social distance with social institutions, the media, socio - economic, parental age, gender and level of self-discipline and social alienation.

Property tax is generally a tax imposed by municipalities upon owners of real property within their jurisdiction based on the value of such property. This form of tax is reported to be one of the most stable sources of revenue to governments however most state and local governments in Nigeria are yet to tap revenue from this form of tax. Revenue generated from this tax is used to provide basic amenities to the people. The paper examined the prospects of property tax administration in Bauchi state and the factors militating against its implementation. The data for the study was collected from the Bauchi State Board of Internal Revenue and the Bauchi State Ministry of Lands and Housing using the interview method. The study revealed that some of the property taxes were administered in Bauchi state such as stamp duty. The main problems identified that militate against the successful implementation of the taxes are lack of political will and inadequate records on properties. The study concluded that property taxation is not being fully enforced in Bauchi state and very few of the taxes are charged. It was recommended that more professionals (Estate surveyors and Valuers) should be employed in Bauchi State Board of Internal Revenue and the Ministry of Lands and Housing, and laws/edicts supporting the enforcement of the tax be introduced.

Education is a multidimensional process, one side it enhances the economic growth and another side, it reduces the poverty by increasing the productivity. This study examines the extent to which education affects economic growth in Bangladesh and show the impact of education on economic growth. In this study we utilize secondary time series data on GDP growth rate, adult literacy rate, gross enrolment in primary education, gross enrolment in secondary, gross enrolment in tertiary and government educational expenditure for the span of 2001-2015 in case of Bangladesh. The result of the t-test, F-test, the coefficient of correlation and coefficient of determination shows that education is positively and significantly related to the economic growth. For identifying the model specification, this study use multicollinearity test, Park test, Breusch-Godfrey (BG) test for heteroscedasticity, Durbin-Watson and Breusch-Pagan-Godfrey (BPG) test for autocorrelation. This tests suggest that our data is free from Heteroscedasticity and autocorrelation but there is multicollinearity problem in this data, for removing this multicollinearity we use dropping variable method.

The study of impact of Distance Education (DE) expanding access and providing quality tertiary education in Ghana has become eminent in the midst of large number of students enrolled in DE institutions. . This paper reviews DE literature with focus on the development of DE in Ghana between 1982 to date. In the context of statistics reviewed from the NCTE, DE is seemingly observed as serving the purpose of access without recourse to quality. The paper draws on the weaknesses and strengths of “access” and “quality” and how each complements the other to ensure effective impact.

In recent years, the human body as an important topic in contemporary sociology has been studied. Therefore, the body is very important and has attracted the attention of many researchers. One of the issues raised in this area, is today in body management among youth (boys and girls) are quite common and popular because of body management, through actions and behavior like choosing clothes, coat appearance, body configuration, type hobbies, sports, diet and ... Are expressed. Given the importance of the management body of the youth in the present study sought to examine social factors affecting the management body of the young people were in Yasuj. In our population of young people 15 to 29 years is in Yasuj and a sample of 353 people were selected for the study sample. To examine the relationship between body by the same token, religious, cultural, economic status, and age as independent variables and the dependent variable pay as a management body. The results indicate a significant relationship between the independent and dependent variables in research.

The term alienation which Raymond Williams calls it as one of the most difficult vocabulary words, and as one of the main concepts in sociology, psychology and social psychology have been introduced, Is widely used in social science to explain the forms and types of actions and reactions to events, facts, psychological and social pressures and is hardly associated with people’s life. Regarding to the importance of the topic in this research by using field method, techniques and survey questionnaire sought answers to this question” what are the social factors affecting student alienation?” The study sample is Guilan-e-Gharb PNU students which about 382 persons of them have been surveyed as the sample of the study. In order to answer the main question of this study, the relationship between variables such as social trust, social participation, social cohesion, devoutness and economic-social base as independent variables and its relationship with the students' alienation as the dependent variable was analyzed. The results indicate that among all the independent variables with the dependent variable, there was a direct and significant relationship. The relationship of these variables is moderate.
