Lot of attention has been given towards natural healthy therapeutic foods by health professional and the common population for improving overall well being, as well as in the prevention of diseases. In this connection, many grains and fruits have been regarded in functional foods. When such ingredients are added into food preparation with an objective of imparting health benefit is the need of the hour. With this aim, a venture was made to develop a bakery product and evaluate its organoleptic attributes. A chocolate pound cake was formulated and in which desired proportions of kavanai rice and Tribulus terrestris fruit powder were added and thus 5 varieties of cakes were prepared and its sensory attributes were compared with the standard cake. 9 point hedonic scale was used to assess sensory characteristics via colour, appearance, flavour, taste and overall acceptability. Garrets ranking tool was employed to assess the ranking of hedonic score. The overall acceptability of cake 2 (80% Refined Wheat Flour and 20% Tribulus terrestris fruit powder) and cake 3 (100% Refined Wheat Flour and 10% Tribulus terrestris fruit powder) had the highest score of 8.55 and was comparable with standard cake. It was imperative that addition of 10% Tribulus terrestris fruit powder into chocolate cake without addition of Kavanai rice scores highest for its sensory attributes. It is concluded that kavanai rice and Tribulus terrestris fruit powder could serve as potential functional ingredients in the development of therapeutic foods. Anatomical features of infected wood of teak (Tectona grandis) were investigated in this study. Mistletoe-infected trees were sectioned and examined under a light microscope in order to ascertain the extent of infestation of the parasite, especially the haustoria, on the wood species. Wood micrographs of healthy Tectona grandis were presented, while photomicrographs of the infested wood sections revealed patches of deposits which were noticeable at the tangential section in the parenchyma cells. Upon examination and in comparison to sections from healthy Tectona grandis, it was observed that the deposits might have been as a result of the wood response to the infestation of the parasite (mistletoe). The materials which seemed to plug part of the rays were associated to the parasite activities in the wood rays, as the areas mostly infected were the parenchyma cells where food materials are normally stored in wood. The study revealed that impact of Mistletoes goes beyond the peripheral of the bark region but further into the host wood microstructures.

This paper presents the model which is developed for single and coupled microstripline structure for both the even and odd-mode of propagation of waves. Most important and common models are: Conformal transformation model, coupled analysis model, hybrid analysis model, numerical analysis by relaxation model, even and odd-mode models, which is the outcome of the coupled line model. H.A. Wheeler derived the characteristic impedance and propagation parameters. Numerical methods are adopted by Stenelhalfer and Sylvester based on pure TEM-mode, Quasi-TEM mode and Non-TEM mode

The cultivation of fresh tomatoes at Tono irrigation scheme by mostly the lowly educated youth is bedevilled by so many challenges. However, even though the full cost of producing fresh tomato at Tono appear to be increasing rapidly over the years under review, the venture is still economically beneficial but with decreasing profitability by using conventional statistics. The average return on investment for 2006 dry season was 4.22 while that for 2010 dry season was 2.34. Thus, there was a general decline in profits over the years. Time series analysis was therefore, carried out to forecast for the next five years which confirmed the declining profits nature of the industry. It was realised that, various interventions from government and policy markers were needed to arrest the appalling situation and make the industry one of the keys to alleviating the chronic poverty in the Upper East Region of Ghana.

Health is a familiar component for policy makers around the globe. Health services are provided in different qualities and quantities.The effect of complementary insurance and health care services to vulnerable individuals such as chemical victims and accurate identification of their needs and physician induced demand is a critical issue. This study was conducted to address the effect of complementary insurance on induced demand among 25% or more chemical veterans in Nesar-e- Deereh village, in Kermanshah province, in the first half of 2009. A cross-sectional study was performed in the first half of 2009. Data were collected through a two-part questionnaire, interview with veterans (n=300), general practitioners (n=8) and specialists (n=12). The validity of the questionnaire was verified by obtaining expert opinions of non-contracting specialist and general practitioners, insurance officers, and university professors. Data were analyzed by descriptive tests using the SPSS software. All primary care services were provided free of charge by three general hospitals, two laboratories and three specialist pharmacies and all individuals were covered by complementary insurance. Sixty percent of veterans stated that they visited a specialist only to make sure that they are not sick and that they required check-up tests like CT scanning and etc. According to pharmacists, 85% of prescribed medications lack a therapeutic rationale. According to 44% of patients, general practitioners were more likely to prescribe expensive medications and 38% of patients stated that general practitioners sensitize them to check their health by various treatments and repeated visits. The fact that care is provided free of charge has created this attitude among some that they should make the most of the service as long as physician visits, medication and facilities are available freely. Induced demand can be largely reduced by changing patient attitude, wise use of insurance and more strict supervision of contracting physicians.

The aim of this paper is to analyze the case of a joint venture stage to determine the successes and failures to undertake this business, based on the theory of resources and skills of entrepreneurship and business. It is intended to answer the question, what were the successes and failures committed by entrepreneurs to run the business plan in this particular case? The answers were found relating the situations described in the case with the theories of resources and skills and entrepreneurship. The analysis concludes that the empirical knowledge of entrepreneurs, in this case were not sufficient to direct the business to success, and that the lack of structured knowledge and adequate scientific support for this project strongly directed towards the non-permanence on the market.

Alcoholism is a significant problem in India. Alcohol misuse is considered as a serious public health issue in India and at large in the world. In addition to its prevalence among the adult population, this behaviour is equally present among adolescents also.1 Alcoholism is a condition in which an individual loses control over his alcohol intake. It is constantly unable to refrain from drinking once he begins. Impairment may involve physiological, psychological or social dysfunction the increasing production, distribution, promotion and easy availability of alcohol coupled with the changing values of society has resulted in alcohol-related problems emerging as a major public health concern in India. The rate of alcohol intake and related problems is increasing.

The corporate sector is vital mainstay that contributes towards the economic development of the country. This study examines the relationship of training opportunities, career opportunities, and work Motivation and satisfaction on employee commitment. The result of conceptual study shows that career training opportunities, career opportunities, and work Motivation and satisfaction have a positive relation with the commitment of employees in corporate sector of Pakistan. Organizations that provide career and learning opportunities have a committed workforce that has ultimately boosted the performance and productivity of the organization. Other factor of job related variables such as work motivation and job satisfaction has also a significant positive link with employee commitment. Conclusion, future research direction and recommendation are discussed in the end of paper which will help future researchers to better understand the phenomenon.

Mobile Ad hoc Networks is a collection of wireless mobile nodes, which form temporary networks without relying on any existing infrastructure or centralized administration or standard support services regularly available in wide area networks to which the host may normally be connected. In this paper we review the security attacks on mobile adhoc networks like black hole, grey hole attacks etc. the study on security attacks and intrusion detection system has led us to illustrate some of the particular security issues.
