Readymade garments is one of the prior fields of our national economy. Most of the foreign currencies are achieved from this sector. There is always a challenge to survive this sector. If one industry want to stable and try to capture new market then must have to ensure the proper quality garments. After completing the all process involves in garments it needs to inspect finally in finishing department for ensuring better quality. So the purpose of this paper is to identify topmost defects in finishing department for ensuring finishing quality. Data for this work were collected from one RMG Industry of Bangladesh. In this work the data of finishing department like total number of inspected body, no of defective body was collected for 7 days and finally calculated defect percentage from different types of defects found in finishing department. A factory should set different modern quality procedures and quality management technique for the betterment of RMG sector. Broken stitch, skip stitch, join stitch, raw edge, shape out, hole, spot, oil stain etc are the most common defects found in finishing section.

As an engineer we need to solve the problems facing the present society. One among them is pollution it is very serious problem. One of the major cause for the pollution releasing of methane gas to the environment from the vehicle. To reduce this folding electrical cycle is a small effort which helps to reduce the pollution and provide more comforts to the rider. In this cycle we are arranging lithium battery to reduce the mechanical work done by the rider & folding experiences the rider more reliable,comfortable & portable to the rider

Salmonellosis causes substantial morbidity and mortality in Sub Saharan Africa. This warranted the appraisal of antibiotic susceptibility patterns of clinical Salmonella isolates from the study catchment area. The study aimed to determine in vitro antibiotic susceptibility profile of Salmonella species isolated from stool samples. Kirby Bauer and MIC results indicated significant resistance to antimicrobial agents(p<0.001). One isolate exhibited resistance to ten antibiograms tested and the resistance phenotype was; Ampicillin, tetracycline, cotrimoxazole, streptomycin, kanamycin, gentamycin, sulfamethoxazole, chloramphenicol, nalidixic acid and ciproflaxin (AmpTCotStKGmSxCNaCip). Routine surveillance of local system is vital to monitor emerging resistance trends in study area.

Heat exchanger is a necessary laboratory equipment in a thermo-fluid laboratory, and lack of this equipment makes learning ineffective. Hence, this study aims to design and construct a shell and tube heat exchanger for laboratory use. To achieve this aim, mechanical and thermal factors were considered. The thermal design was done using the Bell Delaware method. The heat exchanger was designed based on the assumption that there is no phase change, while water at a cold inlet temperature of 15 °C enters the heat exchanger through the tube and hot water at 100 °C enters the heat exchanger through the shell. Results show that the geometry of the heat exchanger favours turbulent flow which enhances heat transfer. This causes a heat load of 107.973 kW to be transferred from the hot fluid to the cold fluid through the tube wall when hot fluid of 0.5 kg/sec flows at a velocity of 0.3 m/s and cold fluid of 2.58 kg/sec flows with a velocity of 1 m/sec. This heat transfer caused the cold fluid temperature to increase by 10 °C as it exits the tube, while the temperature of the hot fluid fell to 45 °C as it exits the shell. The pressure drops in both the shell and tubes were within the allowable range, and hence, accepted. With the overall heat coefficient at 134.23 W/m2K and the efficiency of the system at 73.3%, the study is said to have achieved its objective.

Man as a social and political being tends to live and interact with his fellow beings in the society. He organizes his existence which is life, liberty and happiness as common good in the society. In this paper, Hart’s Concept of Law tries to argue for an accurate and concise legal positivism which brings the source of legal authority into acceptance by a system of rules which is grounded in a fundamental recognition that determines what is to be included among the legal rules. This seeks to offer an explanation to the concept of law differently from the popular utilitarian command which sufficiently describes criminal law, but is limited in describing legal system generally. It expresses the act of obligation which takes itself as a guide for behavior and holds the fact that law is to be followed than to be motivated by threat of punishment. To achieve this, Hart works out a form of legal positivism that reveals legal and moral connection at some points. In view of this, using the expository, descriptive, analytic and evaluative methods, the study established that, Hart’s exposition on law is beyond mere sanctioning, which involves imposing obligatory rules that characterizes a political society built on democratic principles.

Affirmative action which is also known as reverse discrimination is a doctrine which originated in The United States of America, with the sole aim of redressing the past misdeeds of a certain group of people within the society against some others. It focuses on the ill treatment of the whites on the blacks and that of men on women. This movement has gone round the world, Nigeria inclusive. It has made the women in Nigeria for instance to demand thirty five percent of both elective and appointive offices, just to make up the past imbalance in the polity of the country where the men are found to be dominating the system. Our motivation here is the fact that affirmative action if allowed as demanded will instead of correcting any past injustice, do the society more harm than good by perpetuating injustice. The people who will be at the receiving end of this injustice are more or less not guilty of the offence of their fore fathers. This paper focuses on the fact that Affirmative action is not logical nor a moral principle. It suggests that it is not to be made a doctrine in the society, rather it advocates a level playing ground for all players in the field. Finally, it recommends that affirmative action be jettisoned in it’s entirety, because it commits the fallacy of hasty generalization, that some men took advantage of some women in the past in not a sufficient reason for all the men to suffer today in the hands of all the women, so do the blacks and the whites. Allowing affirmative action will amount to throwing away the child with the dirty water.

The main objective of the research is to identify the influence of mindfulness towards academic optimism among teachers in Malaysian public secondary schools. Data ware obtained from 775 teachers randomly selected from 155 schools in Northern Peninsular Malaysia. Research findings revealed the Malaysian public secondary schools practice a moderate level of mindfulness and academic optimism. The findings also shows that only individual mindfulness has a significant influence towards the teachers academic optimism

A comparative study of the phytoplankton and epiphyton biomass in relation to environmental characteristics at the Iragbo part of Yewa Lagoon were undertaken for six months (December, 2012- May, 2013). Water temperature (?32.20C), air temperature (? 48.50C), transparency (? 48.5cm), pH (? 8.16), were higher in dry months while in the wet months total suspended solids (? 1.3mg/L) and total dissolved solids (? 49.0mg/L) values were higher. Dissolved oxygen values (? 2.8mg/L ? 7.6mg/L) were moderate in the Lagoon while biochemical oxygen demand varied between 7.0mg/L and 16.0mg/L, chemical oxygen demand also varied between 21.0mg/L and 40.0mg/L. Reactive silicates ranged between 0.002mg/L and 0.004mg/L throughout the sampling months. The heavy metal values; Copper (?0.03mg/L), Lead (? 0.017mg/L), Zinc (? 0.62mg/L) and Iron (? 0.34mg/L) remained low throughout the sampling period.. Both the phytoplankton and epiphyton biomass were higher in the dry months. Phytoplankton chlorophyll-a values were highest in January while epiphyton chlorophyll-a value was highest in February. The pinnate diatoms dominated the epiphyton community while the centrales diatoms dominated the phytpplankton community. A total of 4885 individuals of 76 phytoplankton species belonging to 6 divisions were identified while a total of 2505 individuals of 39 epiphyton species belonging to 4 divisions were identified. For the phytoplankton community, a total of 1565 individuals (31.80%) represent bacillariophyta division while 635 (12.90%), 2535 (51.52%), 115 (2.33%), 15 (0.5%), and 20 (0.85%) represent chlorophyta, euglenophyta, chrysophyta and pyrophyta respectively. For the epiphyton community, a total of 2525 individuals (87.37%) represents bacillariophyta division while 105 (3.69%), 195(6.74%), and 65(2.24%) individuals represent chlorophyta, cyanophyta and euglenophyta respectively. Species used elsewhere for biomonitoring were observed in the lagoon, they include (Euglenoid) Euglena and Phacus species, Trachelomonas hispida, (Diatoms) Gomphonema parvulum, Synedra ovate, Pinnularia major and (Green algae) Chlorella sp.

Of the several leaf surface characters, leaf architecture has drawn relatively less attention when compared to the epidermal studies which are in the limelight especially after the initiation of SEM studies. In the last decade, with the publication of Hickey’s work on the dicotyledons (1973, 1979) a new thought was provided to this field. A perusal of the past literature revealed that there are no specific reports on the leaf architectural features of the Commiphora wightti Arnott belonging to the family Burseraceae. Leaf architecture act as a pharmacognostic tool for identifying the adulterant because adulteration and misidentification of medicinal plants can cause serious health problems to consumers and legal problems for the pharmaceutical industries. Therefore, the present investigation has been carried out to provide a detailed account of the same besides its evaluation for taxonomic purpose which showed apical orientation, simple leaf organization, lamina and base is asymmetrical, coriaceous texture without any gland. Type of venation is pinnate craspedodromous and semicraspedromous, higher vein order of the leaf is 5⁰.

Many schools have registered violent conflicts that have led to property destruction and disruption of learning activities in the affected schools. This is attributed to poor communication mechanisms between the students and the school administration. In the light of this, this study purposed to assess the influence of prefects’ involvement in communication on conflict resolution in public secondary schools. The study used descriptive survey design with a total of 33 public secondary schools that had 33 school principals, 33 Guidance and counseling teachers, a total of 292 prefects (head boys, head girls and class secretaries) and 1772 Form Three students. This gave a target population of 2130. A stratified sampling technique was used to select a sample size of 10 schools. Piloting was done in two public secondary schools. Split half method was used to ascertain the reliability and the results correlated using Pearson’s Correlation Coefficient. A correlation coefficient of 0.87 was obtained and this was used to ascertain the reliability of the instruments. The researcher applied content validity to measure the relevance of the research instrument. Data collected were coded and analyzed using Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS). They were then analyzed using descriptive statistics and the results presented using frequency distribution tables and percentages. The study found out that involving prefects in communication enhances conflict resolution. This was supported by 60% of the principals who strongly agreed while the other 40% agreed to it. Similarly, 50% of the guidance and counseling teachers, 51.79% of the prefects and 35.14% of the students agreed. Based on these findings, it was concluded that involving prefects in communication enhances conflict resolution in public secondary schools. Therefore, it was recommended that prefects be actively and effectively involved in communication in the management and administration of public secondary schools.
