In this paper we would like to explore observations of solar wind in both the polar and equatorial regions simultaneously at the same time during 23rd solar maximum, in order to compare the similarities and differences in solar wind between two regions. The observed period roughly coincides with polarity reversal phase. The comparative study relates polar and equatorial solar wind using observed data. The polar wind has been extensively investigated by Ulysses, the first spacecraft to perform in-situ measurements in the high-latitude heliosphere and ecliptic solar wind was observed by ACE were used to examine solar wind parameters. The solar wind parameters – temperature, density, speed and solar magnetic field are taken for evaluation. This study elucidates the solar wind variations in equatorial, southern and northern hemisphere in maximum phase. Both slow and fast solar winds are characterized in southern polar hemisphere but fast wind is prevails in northern polar hemisphere. Structural characterization methods in Inorganic Chemistry are tools that lead every synthetic chemist to the final destination of synthesis. Therefore, in this article, the various methods of elucidating newly prepared ligands and the corresponding complexes are discussed. The methods, ranging from spectroscopic to non-spectroscopic have been discussed in principle, functions and uses.

Cost management should be regarded as a process requiring the integration of separate discipline and involvement of the internal and external experts. Effective cost management requires the implementation of methodologies and steps that are repeatable and can be integrated with organization goals. For MSMEs to compete effectively in the global market, the cost of a product should be reduced by increasing productivity, by reducing manufacturing costs at the shop floor. The need is to see the cost management practices employed and the efficacies of such practices, which will enhance the opportunity to improve the decision-making process of the MSMEs. This paper studies the significant differences among efficacies of existing cost management practices used by the enterprises and establishes a functional relationship among cost management practices, efficacy, and action to achieve business objectives. In the process, Statistical tools like ANOVA, Regression Analysis, Inter-correlation matric, Path – Coefficient Analysis were used.

One of the main tasks that Nigeria set for herself at independence in October 1960, in the area of foreign policy was the vigorous pursuit of the total decolonization of Africa and the dismantling of apartheid in South Africa. Nigeria firmly pursued and won these battles through finances, alliances, meetings and aid. The confidence which the African countries reposed in Nigeria resulted in conferring on her, the status of the continent’s mouthpiece. Indeed, the application of vibrant diplomatic skills in the pursuit of the task of decolonization by the Nigerian government could be aptly viewed from the efforts of the activist regime of General Murtala Mohammed between July 1975, and February 1976, which resulted in liberation of Angola from the claws of the Portuguese colonialism. Although the diplomatic engagements did not result in immediate economic gains for Nigeria, it strengthened Nigeria’s image as the “giant of Africa”. This paper assesses Nigeria’s diplomatic engagements toward Angola’s liberation and suggests that Nigeria should mainstream economic dimension in her diplomatic relations with Angola on the basis of national interest still focusing on her Afrocentric foreign policy posture for the good of the continent. The paper adopts a historical descriptive methodology.

A two stage novel speech enhancement algorithm is presented in this paper. First stage is designed such that it can substantially improve the signal to residual spectrum ratio by combining statistical estimators of the spectral magnitude of the speech and noise. By expressing the signal to residual spectrum ratio as a function of the estimators gain function. We derive a hybrid strategy that can improve the signal to residual spectrum ratio when the apriori and the posteriori SNR are detected to the lower than 0dB. The enhanced signals still suffer from undesirable speech distortion due to harmonic distortion. Some harmonics are considered as noise only components and are suppressed. To overcome harmonic distortion introduced in enhanced speech, in the proposed method the suppressed harmonics are regenerated. Objective and subjective tests were carried out to demonstrate improvement in the perceptual quality of speeches by the proposed technique.

The aim of this study was to assess the biochemical and structural changes associated with exposure to gasoline vapour in rat. Twenty-four female rats were divided into test and control groups. After the exposure period, all animals were sacrificed, blood was obtained for biochemical analysis, and the liver was removed, and processed for histopathological examination. Abnormal liver architecture, liver enzymes, bilirubin, and malondialdehyde were significantly higher while serum protein were significantly lower in the exposed group than in the unexposed group (p < 0.05). Exposure to GV may represent a significant risk factor for a wide spectrum of liver disorders

Altogether 272 species and infraspecific taxa of algae and cyanobacteria were identified in the Enguri River habitats during 1974-1977, and 2014 field trips. Total list of algal flora including our findings and reference lists is represented by 339 taxa (excluding diatoms) and most of them were bio-indicators. Charophyta, Cyanobacteria and Chlorophyta species were dominated in communities. Altitude play the major role in distribution patterns of algal diversity and ecological groups of water quality indicators.

This study investigates the comparative perception of employees toward their job satisfaction in the selected public and private banks in Dire Dawa City Administration of Ethiopia. The respondent employees have been randomly selected from both banks based on proportion to population size. Primary cross-sectional data was collected from 120 sample respondents through structured questionnaire. Inferential statistics analysis showed that employees of private banks are more satisfied in provision of payment and benefit packages as well as social acceptance and working environment aspect than that of public bank employees. However, regarding to job security, the result indicated that public bank satisfies its employee more than their counterpart. Concerning personal growth and development, employees of private banks reported that they perceive more satisfied than employees in the public banks. Thus, concerned bodies may emphasis on the aforementioned variables to enhance employees’ perception towards job satisfaction in order to receive the efficient services of their employee and to improve overall performance of both banking sectors.

The purpose of the study is to design a framework of syllabus to teach and develop study skills of students in the context of English for Academic Purposes (EAP) with a special focus on the language needs of target group- engineering Students belonging to Karunya University at Coimbatore, employing the linguistic and thematic components of a science fiction titled ‘Star fish’ by Peter Watts. Unlike the ordinary science texts generally prescribed by EAP theorists and ESP/EAP teachers, science fictions as course material would make the learning process interesting, and simultaneously would enhance the study skills much needed for the professional success of the Engineering students.

The study sought to establish student teachers’ attitude toward computer in education influence on integration of computer technology into future teaching practices. The study was carried out in five public TTCs in the Rift Valley Province. The TTCs are five out of the 21 public and 41 private teacher colleges in Kenya. This study employed pragmatist theoretical perspective. The study established there was statistically significant influence of trainee teacher’s computer attitudes on integration of ICT. Trainee teachers who scored high on attitude towards computer use in education scored highly on intention to integrate ICT. Trainee teachers, who had a positive attitude towards ICT and its uses, had high intentions to integrate it in their teaching.
