The solid phase FTIR and FT-Raman spectra of 4-chloro-2, 6-dibromoaniline (CDBA) have been recorded in the region 4000-400 cm-1 and 3500-100 cm-1, respectively. The spectra were interpreted with the aid of normal coordinate analysis following a full structure optimization and force field calculation based on the density functional theory (DFT) using the standard HF/6-31+G(d,p) and B3LYP/6-31+G(d,p) methods and basis set combination. A close agreement between the observed and calculated frequencies by refinement of the scale factor. The values of electric dipole moment (? and First-order hyperpolarizability(?) of the compound were computed using ab-initio quantum mechanical calculations.The calculation results also show that the PFA molecule might have microscopic nonlinear optical (NLO) behavior with non-zero values. HOMO and LUMO energy gap explains the eventual charge transfer interaction taking place within the molecule.

This paper deals with an analysis of rotation effects on unsteady free convective flow past an impulsively started vertical plate with variable mass diffusion in the presence of transversely applied uniform magnetic field. The problem is solved analytically using the Laplace Transform technique. A selected set of graphical results illustrating the effects of various parameters involved in the problem are presented and discussed. The numerical values of skin-friction have been tabulated.

The impact of code switching on the speaking of EFL students’ learning ability, the significance of code switching in classrooms where medium of instruction is second or foreign language is approved reality. Observation of bilingual or multilingual classrooms show that teachers use code switching in different situations for different purposes. In speaking classes using code switching in Iranian school classes reduced the scores of the students and it has negative effect on the students. The researcher used code- switching in two groups of students in six grade of primary school. In the speaking class by the two groups of 40 students, using code switch of the 20 of the student and not using code switching of 20 of the other students. Teaching them for about ten sessions the result has been shown that by those students that using code switching the score of them is low and those who haven’t used code switching was wonderful. Learner`s mistakes and feedbacks proceed an error are two remarkable parts of learning procedure. Teacher should manage the class and know how to promote learners. This article aims to discuss the issue of feedback by providing arguments that feedback is helpful and language learners do need it. 150 participants who were intermediate Iranian EFL learners participated in this study. There were two groups one experimental, and another one control one. Then researcher had 50 participants and two groups. 25 of the participants assigned for control group and 25 for experimental participants. The researcher had 5 sessions for training, how to correct their mistake and how to write errorless or lessens writing. After 5 sessions they wrote 2 paragraphs. The researchers corrected their errors, collected data and compare them. The T-test analysis revealed that the experimental group out performed on post- test. The findings can be applied for teacher training, classroom teaching and language assessment.

This study examined the accessibility and utilization of electronic resources by the staff of Fountain University, Osogbo, Nigeria. A total of 100 questionnaires were distributed to the staff of the university out of which 65 (65%) were completed and returned. Questionnaire was the instrument used for data collection among staff. The data was analyzed using Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS). One of the findings of the study was that accessibility of electronic resources among staff in FUO was very low and this affects the use of these electronic resources. This paper discussed the strategies to increase access to subscribed electronic resources in the e-library of Fountain University Library. There is need to increase the internet facilities on campus in order to facilitate the accessibility of electronic resources to staff and the entire library users. The study discovered the factors hindering effective use of the library electronic resources to include irregular internet access culminating in slow downloading process, poor staff attitude to staff and irregular power supply. The study found out that subscription to large bandwidth, deployment of adequate internet signal, aggressive awareness, advocacy, attitudinal change of staff to use of e-resources and research development could enhance access and use of e-resources and databases. The paper recommends regular training of academic staff on how to access and use of university e-library.

The aim of this paper, is to use a more realistic model which incorporates the effects of Brownian motion and the thermophoresis of nanoparticles for studying the effect of some control parameters on the onset of convective instability in a rotating Hele-Shaw cell filled of a Newtonian nanofluid layer and heated from below, this layer is assumed to have a low concentration of nanoparticles. The linear study which was achieved in this investigation shows that the thermal stability of Newtonian nanofluids depends of the Coriolis force generated by the rotation of the system, the Hele-Shaw cell parameter, the Brownian motion, the thermophoresis of nanoparticles, the buoyancy forces and other thermo-physical properties of nanoparticles. The studied problem will be solved analytically by converting our boundary value problem to an initial value problem, after this step we will approach numerically the searched solutions by polynomials of high degree to obtain a fifth-order-accurate solution.

This study investigated microbial load and sensory quality of locally produced tigernut-based composite flour. Microbial quality such as total viable count (TVC), presence of yeast and mold, E. coli, Salmonella spp and Staphylococcus aureus were determined. These were compared to the microbiological specification for composite flours. The sensory quality of the composite powders such as colour, taste, aroma, mouthfeel and overall acceptability were also determined. These properties are considered to be very important in the attempt to formulate composite flours. Mean counts of the TVC and Staphylococcus aureus counts ranged between 3.31 to 3.22 and 2.21-2.58 log10 cfu/g respectively. Salmonella, E. coli and yeast and molds were not detected in any of the samples analyzed. Mean sensory scores ranged between 3.2±1.32-1.8±0.63 for colour, 3.1±1.10-2.4±0.52 for taste, 3.2±1.32-2.3±1.06 mouthfeel, 3.1±0.99-2.1±0.57 for aroma and 5.5±1.96-3.5±2.17 for preference. Significant differences were observed between the samples in terms of colour, aroma and preference. The microbial quality of the tigernut-based composite flour falls within the acceptable standard, hence guarantying the safety of the consumer. The use of composite flour would help to improve the nutritional value of food at presumably cheaper cost since all the raw materials are locally available and does not require special skill for the preparation.

Sanitation generally refers to principles, practices, provisions, or services related to cleanliness and hygiene in personal and public life for the protection and promotion of human health and well being and breaking the cycle of disease or illness. It is also related to the principles and practices relating to the collection, treatment, removal or disposal of human excreta, household waste water and other pollutants. In this paper a study have been performed to describe the status of sanitation in U.P. and it is comprises with the Sanitation status of India. For the above purposes secondary data from Tables on Houses, Household Amenities and Assets of the Census 2001 and Census 2011, data by the Ministry of Drinking Water and Sanitation, Swacha Bharat Mission (Gramin), Baseline Survey-2012 and some facts and figures given UNICEF and WHO have been used for the fulfilment of the need. Analysis of the data has been performed for both at all India level and State level (Uttar Pradesh) level especially.

Despite that plantain marketing could be used as one of the economic options of breaking the vicious circle of poverty in Nigeria, studies seems not to have existed on the marketing of processed plantain in Umuahia South Local Government Area of Abia State, Nigeria. The study employed a combination of multistage and purposive random sampling techniques to collect data from 120 marketers. In line with the specific objectives, the data generated were analysed using both descriptive and inferential statistics. The results of the analysis revealed that about 67% of the marketers were females who are within the active mean productive age of 32 years. It further showed that plantain are being processed into chips, flour, beverages, plantain ball, pastry, roasted plantain with plantain chips, plantain pastry, and roasted plantain being the most marketed processed plantain in the area. Meanwhile, the identified marketing activities performed by the marketers include advertisement, promotion, packaging, and after sells service in which case, the coefficients of advertisement and promotion (x?) were negatively signed and statistically significant at 5% level; and the coefficients of packaging (X?) and after sells service being positively signed and statistically significant at 1% level. Using the Benefit-Costs-Ratio analysis to determine the return to investment, it was observed that the most economically viable options of marketing plantain is by processing and selling roasted planting, plantain chips, plantain beverages, plantain pastry, plantain flour, and plantain balls. The study recommended for the provision of adequate marketing infrastructures by government and other NGOs to enable marketers make good returns from the marketing of processed plantain within the area.
