An experiment was conducted to study the effects of incorporating raw or processed Meskit pods on histopatho logy of kidney and liver of sheep. Twenty-four Omani sheep were fed one of four diets: Rhodes grass hay (RGH) plus commercial concentrate (CC); RGH plus raw Meskit pods based diet (RMP); RGH plus roasted Meskit pods based diet (ROMP); RGH plus soaked Meskit pods based diet (SMP) for 84 days. Histological and serum biochemical analyses were used to assess sheep health. Animals were slaughtered and kidney and liver tissue samples were collected. The microscopic results showed that, incorporating raw, roasted or soaked pods to level of 50% of formulated rations resulted in no histological changes in kidney and liver tissues and most serum biochemical values were similar among the treatments. In general, feeding formulated rations based on raw or processed Meskit pods did not cause histological changes in kidneys or livers of Omani sheep even at high intake.

The FT-IR and FT-Raman spectra of 2,4-dichloro-?,?,?-trifluorotoluene (D???TFT ) have been recorded in the range of 4000–400 cm-1 and 3500–50 cm-1 respectively. The molecular geometry and vibrational frequencies in the ground state are calculated using the LSDA and B3LYP method with 6-311+G(d, p) and 6-311++G (d, p) basis sets . The computed values of frequencies are scaled using a suitable scale factor to yield good coherence with the observed values. Most of the modes have wave numbers in the expected range. The calculated HOMO–LUMO energy gap shows that charge transfer occur within the molecule. NBO analysis has been performed in order to elucidate charge transfers or conjugative interaction, the intra-molecule hybridization and delocalization of electron density within the molecule. The total energy distribution (TED) has also been calculated for each mode of the vibration of the molecule.

Background of the study Health and illness underpin our everyday existence. Health allows us to live full lives and to function as social beings. Illness disrupts our lives, sometimes seriously. But health not only affects individuals, it also impacts upon society as a whole.The Children of today are the resources of the future. Preservation of their lives will always be a priority. Child health includes the care of the children from infancy to adolescence. Most of the children experience one or more episodes of illness. Many of them may be ill for short time and may not need hospitalization and some of them may need hospitalization and prolong treatment. Problem statement “A study to evaluate the effectiveness of planned teaching programme on knowledge regarding developmental delay among mothers of preschool children admitted at selected hospital Belgaum, Karnataka” The objectives of the study were 1. Assess the knowledge regarding developmental delay among the mothers of preschool children.. 2. Assess the effectiveness of planned teaching programme on knowledge regarding developmental delay among mothers of preschool children. 3. To find out the association between the knowledge of mothers of preschool children with their socio demographic variables Hypothesis H1: There will be post test knowledge scores of preschool mothers are higher than the pre test knowledge scores H2: There will be significant association between pre test knowledge scores regarding developmental delay among mothers of preschool children with their selected demographic variables. Findings related to association between pre test knowledge scores regarding developmental delay among mothers of preschool children with their demographic variables. Study findings reveals that there is significant association between pre test knowledge score of the mothers and demographic variable like age of mother, educational status of mother, occupation of mother, (P<0.05). Hence H1 was accepted. Interpretation and conclusion The present study was consistent with the study conducted by rearing practices among migrate mothers, to assess the knowledge status of mother on upper respiratory tract infection. Onions are highly nutritious vegetables widely cultivated by small scale farmers worldwide and form the basis of everyday meals. The study consisted of two sets, each with 10 replicates. One set was irrigated with wastewater and the other with tap water for 8 weeks. Onion samples were randomly selected from each pot and analysed for heavy metal (Cu, Mn, Pb, Cr, Cd and Ni) concentrations using Flame Atomic Absorption Spectrometry. Results obtained showed that heavy metal concentrations in bulbs and leaves of onions irrigated with wastewater exceeded the safe limits (p< 0.05) whilst heavy metal concentrations in bulbs and leaves of onions irrigated with tap water were lower and within the safe limits (p> 0.05). The study also showed that type of irrigation water (wastewater or tap water) had an effect on heavy metal concentration in bulbs and leaves (p= 0.001) whilst plant tissue type (bulb or leaf) had no significant effect on the concentration of heavy metals in onions. This study highlights the potential risks involved in the cultivation and consumption of vegetables using wastewater for irrigation, a practice which may place at risk the health of the urban population who consume these vegetables.

Elephantiasis results of chronic lymphedema due to a variety of obstructive diseases of the lymphatic system. It’s a rare disease outside areas where filariasis is endemic. Peno-scrotal Elephantiasis is characterized by gross enlargement of the genitalia and legs. Observation: We return a case of a 45-year-old patient referred for a giant scrotum for 10 years. The disease become disabling in that it makes sexual relations difficult, affects urination and also limited the patient mobility. He underwent a complete surgical resection of pathological tissue and peno-scrotal reconstruction, with good functional and aesthetic results. Pathology of the specimen was suggestive of either a non-specific fibrosis. We update through a review of the literature aspects of the diagnostic and therapeutic care of the peno-scrotal elephantiasis.

With the rapid technological growth in the computer industry over the last decades, spatial related problems and issues have found their way into computer-based systems used to store and manipulate geographically referenced data, these systems which are commonly referred as Geographical Information Systems (GIS) have become widely established in many disciplines. GIS is a powerful software tool, by using this technology it is very convenient to assemble maps quickly from predefined layers, add data from coverage, shape files, geo databases, preparation of models etc. The GIS can be used for identifying suitable locations for buffers. The use of technologies such as GIS can also be very effectively used for fixing the canal alignment. A buffer analysis tool in GIS is a proximity analysis used to create polygons based on a specified distance from the original geometric feature and the output is a large zone or region that surrounds and encompasses the feature. The Buffer output is often used to determine any feature that are within a specified distance of a point, line or polygon. Building Information Modeling (BIM) tools is an intelligent model based process which is very helpful for planning and designing purpose. The aim of this study is to present the applications of buffer analysis which is basically a GIS software tool along with BIM tools for comparing the proposed canal alignments in Somnala Minor Irrigation Scheme of Gosikhurd Indira Sagar Project.

In this paper average co – isolated domination number ?agcild(G) is defined and, ?cild and ?agcild are obtained for binomial trees, binary trees, ternary trees and complete c – ary trees. Also the bounds for ?agcild(G) are found.

Dufour effect on unsteady MHD flow through porous medium past an impulsively started inclined oscillating plate with variable temperature and mass diffusion is studied here. The fluid considered is gray, absorbing-emitting radiation but a non-scattering medium. The Governing equations involved in the present analysis are solved by the Laplace-transform technique. The velocity profile is discussed with the help of graphs drawn for different parameters.

Hippuric acid 1 cyclized by using cyanuric acid (TCT) as environmentally benign catalyst to 2-phenyloxazol-5(4H)-one 2 further treated with aromatic aldehyde-Friedel Craft reaction to benzoylaminoketones 3 and finally cyclized using the same reagent (TCT) gives good yields of substituted 2,5 diaryloxazoles 4a-h under the reflux condition.
