Soil and Tailing samples in Dan-Kande gold mining environment were analysed with the aid of X-Ray Fluorescence technique. The long period of artisanal mining exercises in the environment calls for investigation for health benefits of critical group. Of the detected elements, It was observed that Mn, Fe, Ni, Cu, and as occurs in raised concentrations at many folds above USEPA regulatory benchmarks at the café and residential areas. There is a close correlation between the raised values obtained from the House and café samples indicating that minerals are being taking into various houses for processing. This is a potential health bomb due to explode.

This study was conducted to determine the proximate composition as well as the concentrations of Pb, Ni, Mn, As, Zn, and Cd in the muscles, liver and gizzards of chicken consumed in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria. Proximate analysis was done on the different parts of chicken using standard methods and the concentrations of Pb, Ni, Mn, As, Zn, and Cd were determined using atomic absorption spectrophotometry. The mean levels of trace metals were ranged between 0.210±0.014-0.268±0.014mg/kg for Pb; 0.342±0.017-0.437±0.033mg/kg for Ni; 0.483±0.221-0.518±0.025mg/kg for Mn; 0.030±0.025-0.048±0.002mg/kg for As; 2.567±0.025-2.981±0.06mg/kg for Zn; and 0.024±0.04-0.17±0.025mg/kg for Cd. The mean moisture contents of various parts were 67.03±0.03, 66.0±0.002 and 67.23±0.004% for muscle, liver and gizzard respectively. The protein content ranged from 26.22±0.005 -28.35±0.03%; 1.32±0.05-1.23±0.121% for ash; and 0.91±0.01-1.11±0.111% for fat. The results indicated that chicken meat in this study were rich sources of nutrients. The concentrations of trace metals in this study were below tolerance limits except Pb, which was slightly higher than the WHO/FAO permissible limit. Therefore, it can be concluded that chicken meat in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State has a high nutritional value and it is safe for human consumption.

Extensive cracking on the runway slabs at the Srinagar (Jammu & Kashmir) International Airport has taken place due to overloading of aircraft operations and poor sub grade stability. A visual crack survey was carried out. The survey detected cracks of width of less than 6.4 mm to more than 50 mm which were classified into four types according to their width of opening. Repair methodologies were developed for each category of crack. The repair works and the construction of the overlay were carried out at night as the runway has to be kept operational. The runway has been in service and no sign of distress has been observed since the completion of repair works and overlay construction in September 2010.

Effect of glass grid as high tensile strength layer in rigid pavements /runways has been studies using model slabs of low slump value and high strength concrete M40 (40N/mm2) with flexural strength of 4.4 N/ mm2,desighned for 1800kg gross load with 1200 repetition casted over the same sub grade on which runways was to be reconstructed .The slabs after subjected to loads shows that there occurs least number of cracks with less width and propagate to lesser depths and non –continues in nature by the use of glass grids as secondary reinforcement also there is considerable arrest of reflective cracks in case of rigid overlays over cracked pavement.

This present article investing acted this issue specially and it has investigated IT in all dimensions .This article expressed the history of information technology usage in training and investigated the application of information technology in training and educational areas as well as analyzed this technology besides students and teachers and examined the relationship between education and information technology and expressed aids of this technology in students training as well as examined children training by parents.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the influence of intelligent classroom and deepen student's learning speed. This analytical method and the method of data collection tools and library resources, articles and scientific sites are used. The results showed that the use of multimedia content in a wide range of senses of the students involved in the teaching and learning process is deepening. In other words, in addition to increasing the performance of various classes of applications due to the use of audio-visual senses to help students learn. The system allows students to move beyond their curricula and more emphasis on thinking skills and deep learning students. The intelligent interaction between students and teachers of the school, more intelligent, and this can lead to a higher share successful experiences between them. So schools by creating platforms for intelligent classes can take advantage of this training method used.

Thermal tolerances of Coenagrionidae and Libellulidae naiads in Lake Kariba, Zimbabwe, were determined using the critical thermal maximum (CTM) method. Eighty eight naiads were assessed, 44 from Coenagrionidae with two size classes, small (6.0 – 9.9 mm) and big (10.0 – 19.9 mm) and 44 from Libellulidae with two size classes, small (7.0 – 14.9 mm) and big (15.0 – 22.9 mm). Water temperature was increased at a mean rate of 0.5 ± 0.1ºC per minute until there was loss of locomotor capacity and motion. Temperatures at which the naiads stopped moving and responding to probing were recorded as the critical thermal maxima. The mean thermal tolerances of Coenagrionidae and Libellulidae naiads were 44.33ºC and 46.22ºC respectively. Regression analysis indicated that body size had no effect on thermal tolerance in Coenagrionidae (P > 0.05) but had an effect on Libellulidae (P < 0.05). Both families had high thermal tolerances though Libellulidae had a higher tolerance than Coenagrionidae. Anova revealed significant differences between the two families (P < 0.05). Understanding how temperature affects biological systems is a central question in ecology and evolutionary biology. Determination of upper thermal limits provides insight into the relative sensitivity of organisms to elevated temperatures hence to climate change.

The study measures dairy research in in top three milk producing countries (i.e. India, USA and China) and identify leading players in dairy research during 2001-2010, based on number of parameters, including publication, citation, impact, p-index, h-index and global publication share. The 20 most productive countries were selected and evaluated. The status of research output and milk production in G-7 countries and developing countries were examined. The data on publication citation and h-index were drawn from two databases i.e. Web of Science and Scopus. USA is giving maximum output in quantity and quality of publications, Other major players are UK, France, Germany, Netherland, Canada, Switzerland and Australia. Production of milk is highest in India and it has 10th rank in GDP but lagged behind in dairy research. The developing countries like India, China, Pakistan, Brazil, Poland, Mexico, Argentina and Romania are producing significant amount of milk but share in the research output is very less.

A new hydrazone Schiff base consisting of 7-chloro-4-(o-hydroxy benzilidenehydrazo) quinoline, with metal complexes of some divalent metal ions, Mn(II), Fe(III), Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), Zn(II), and Cd(II) were investigated Conduct metrically and thermodynamically. We have used molar ratio method to determine the stoichiometric of the formed complexes, The results obtained confirmed the formation of 1:1 and 1:2, M: L complexes. In order to get information about the composition of complexes electrical conductivity were determined. The standard thermodynamic parameters viz. ?G, ?H and ?S, for the proton-ligand and the stepwise metal-ligand complexesluated. Thermodynamic functions were analyzed in terms of the electrostatic (el) and non-electrostatic (cratic, c) components. ?Hc was found to be linearly correlated with the acceptor number of the metal ion (ANM), and ?H el was linearly correlated with the ionic radii of the metal ion. The calculated values for ?Go, ?Ho and ?So concluded that the complexion process processed spontaneously. Spectrophotometric measurements of Co (II), Ni(II) complexes obeyed Beer's law up to certain values, 6.6 x 103, 8.0x103 dm3mol-1cm-1, respectively, indicating that the ligand HL could be used to detect Co(II) and Ni(II) in such concentrations. The study was performed also for Fe (III)-complexes.
