The mixed-ligand complex of [Cu(bipy)2S8(ClO4)2 was synthesized and characterized by employing elemental analyses, metal analyses, infrared and UV-Vis spectroscopy, room temperature magnetic susceptibility measurements, conductivity measurements and theoretical studies. The elemental and metal analyses show good agreement which support the formulation for the complex. The Cu-S band in the infrared spectrum at 465 cm -1, indicate the formation of the complex. The UV-Vis spectra shows different intraligand transitions at 49,505 cm-1 , 33,445 cm-1, 32,467 cm-1 and the bands at 13,661 cm-1 with a shoulder at 11,820 cm-1 in the visible region supported the CHN data for the formation of the five-coordinate complex. The magnetic moment value at 1.40 B.M indicates the presence of a strong antiferromagnetic properties of the complex. A 1:2 electrolyte nature of the complex was revealed in the conductivity value of 179 mho cm2 mol-1. The theoretical calculations predicted a distorted square pyramidal with S8 in the apical position for the complex with Cu(II)-S bond distance calculated to be 2.874 Å and 2.199 Å for PM3 and DFT methods respectively. The low negative value of S.E (–1.58 kcal/mol) calculated for [Cu(bipy)2S8 ]2+ ion suggested that the complex is more likely to exist either in solution or as an amorphous compound.

A three notch multilayer antenna for C-Band applications is presented in this paper. The proposed antenna is composed of a FR-4 and air gap Dielectric material, By introducing the two parts, the impedance bandwidth of the antenna can be significantly enhanced. Analysis done with ground plan. Simulation results show that the proposed antenna can operate from 3.2GHz to 4.8 GHz with low VSWRs ? 2. Stable antenna gain (dB) is also achieved over the entire operating frequency band. Furthermore, the size of the proposed antenna is very compact, which is only at the centre of the operating frequency band.

In this paper output force controlling for three degree freedom (DOF) surgical robotic arm by using genetic algorithm with PID controller. The aim of the controller is to improve and adjust the output force of the arm and optimization parameters such as kp, ki and kd by Genetic Algorithm without hid and trail method is taken. The optimization design methods often consider the system requirements for quickness, reliability, and accuracy. This robot is used in the field of surgery. So surgical robotic arm require don’t oscillate and no max. Overshoot. This paper performs to reduce the oscillation, max. Overshoot, settling time and improves stability of system.

Abstract: The generation of solid waste has become an increasing environmental and public health problem everywhere in the world, particularly in the developing countries. The problem of inadequate solid waste management is a major environmental challenge all over the world and Tiptur town is no exception. The problem has become compounded due to technical, financial and institutional constraints and landfill sites have further contributed to environmental degradation. The present study was to investigate the heavy metal contamination of ground water sources in and around Tiptur Town . Heavy metals like Fe++, Cd, Zn, Mn, Cr, Pb and Hg estimated to analyze ground water pollution load with respect to human health concern ,since Tipturians depend on ground water for drinking purpose. In the present investigation observed result showed that iron concentration varied between a minimum of 0.03 mg/l to a maximum of 2.9 mg/l. Other trace metals Zn, Mn and Cr were within the permissible limit and Pb, Hg and Cd were below detectable level.

Mutual Funds are dynamic Financial Institutions which play a crucial role in an economy by mobilizing savings and investing in the Capital Markets thus establishing a link between the savers and the users. Mutual Funds are used as a medium-to-long term investment option by the investors. Indian Mutual Fund industry has two distinct types of sponsors Viz., Public-Sector and Private-Sector. The present study aims to evaluate and compare the performance of select Growth Schemes of both Private Sector and Public Sector Mutual Funds in India. This study covers a period of ten years from 2003-04 to 2012-13 for the purpose of evaluation of performance. A majority of the schemes had Mean Returns and Beta above their corresponding Benchmark. Further, it has significant difference between the mean returns of Private Sector and Public Sector Mutual Funds in India. Mutual Funds Companies have to strengthen their R&D, focus on reducing load fee and expenses ratio depending on market conditions to have better future performance.

This paper extends the work of Hernandez [5] to functions of two variables in which the emphasis is given to the influence of convexity on Newton-Raphson’s method using two functions with different degree but having the same solution. Upon the properties of logarithmic degree of convexity the third order convergent iterative method for the solutions of systems of nonlinear equations which avoids the computation of second order derivative of the function is obtained. The result shows the accelerated Newton-Raphson’s method is faster than the other methods considered in this paper.

This study assessed Farmers’ Perception and Attitudes towards Organic Agricultural Practices in Ishielu Local Government Area of Ebonyi State. The study employed purposive and multistage random sampling procedures in the selection of one hundred and twenty (120) respondents. Primary data were collected through field survey with the aid of a well-structured questionnaire and interview schedule. Both descriptive and inferential statistics were employed in data analysis; which was done according to the specific objectives of the study. Results showed that the major vegetable crops grown in the study area were pumpkin (100%), eggplant (75%) and plantain (50%) among others. Further analysis revealed fellow farmers (82%), radio (74%) and Farmers’ Associations (67%) as major sources of information on organic vegetable farming to the rural farmers. The result further revealed that the respondents have good knowledge about organic farming as shown by their positive perceptions about it. Multiple regression analysis was used to establish the relationship between the socio-economic characteristics of the farmers and the number of sources of information on organic farming. A high R2 of (76%) was obtained. Most of the independent variables were statistically significant and met a priori expectations. The result of factor analysis identified: financial, institutional and environmental factors as constraints to organic vegetable farming in the area. It was concluded that farmers in the study area had favorable perception towards organic farming with moderate knowledge of its benefits. Recommendations such as encouraging youths to get involved in organic vegetable farming, better enlightenments and sensitization of the entire area on the beneficial effects of organic farming were made, among others.

HPC mixes may be made with Silica fume for cement and binary and ternary mixes involving Industrial By-products of Bottom ash and steel slag aggregate for the replacement of Fine aggregate and Coarse aggregate. Binary mixes involved combinations of silica fume and bottom ash, silica fume and steel slag aggregate, bottom ash and steel slag aggregate and ternary mixes involved combination both of three materials in concrete consumes CH leads to development of a different morphology in ITZ. This paper presents SEM for the three phases and an evaluation of the ITZ in the three cases for making HPC.

The present study was conducted to evaluate 25 hydroxy cholecalciferol levels in newly diagnosed pulmonary tuberculosis patients. Comparative case control study. Department of Medicine, Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences Hospital Jamshoro/Hyderabad, from February 2014- October 2015. 100 diagnosed cases of pulmonary tuberculosis and 100 age and gender matched controls were selected according to criteria. 5 ml of venous blood sample was collected and centrifuged at 4000rpm for 10 minutes. The serum obtained was frozen at -20oC and used for estimation of 25-hydroxycholecalciferolon ARCHITECT I 1000 system. The data was analyzed on SPSS version 22.0 at 95% confidence interval (p ? 0.05). Total mean± S.D of 25-hydroxycholecalciferol was noted as 26.1±9.76 and 38.8±7.14 (ng/dl) in cases and controls respectively (p=0.0001). 25-hydroxycholecalciferol <5.4 ng/dl was noted in the tuberculosis cases. Normal, insufficiency and deficiency of 25-hydroxycholecalciferol was noted in 17%, 19% and 64% & 56%, 18% and 26% of cases and controls respectively (p< 0.01). The present study reports significantly low 25-hydroxycholecalciferol in pulmonary tuberculosis cases. However further studies are warranted. Pulmonary tuberculosis patients may be supplemented with vitamin D.

Evaluating the 25-hydroxycholecalciferol and blood lipids and their relationship in type 2 Diabetic subjects. Observational study. Department of Medicine, Isra University Hospital and Consultant Clinics Hyderabad from January2014 to July 2014. A sample of 200 diagnosed type 2 DM were selected through non-probability purposive sampling. Blood lipids, blood urea nitrogen, serum creatinine, fasting blood glucose, alkaline phosphatase, serum calcium and phosphate were detected. 25-hydroxycholecalciferol was detected by ARCHITECT I 1000 system. Data was analyzed on SPSS version 21.0. Data was analyzed on SPSS version 22.0 at 95% confidence interval. Low 25-hydroxycholecalciferol was noted in 94% and dyslipidemia in 66.5% of 25-hydroxycholecalciferol deficient type 2 diabetic subjects. Pearson’s correlation showed negative correlation of 25-hydroxycholecalciferol with LDLc, VLDLc, serum triglycerides, and cholesterol and positive correlation with HDLc. The present study reports 25- hydroxycholecalciferol deficiency and dyslipidemia in type 2 diabetic subjects. 25-hydroxycholecalciferol deficiency showed positive association with high density lipoprotein (HDLc) and inverse association with LDLc, serum cholesterol and triglycerides.
