Flow Shop Scheduling is the combinational optimization & NP-hard (i.e. Non-deterministic Polynomial-time hard) problems. In Permutation Flow Shops, the sequence of the jobs is same on all machines. In a Flow Shop Scheduling problem with ‘n’ jobs that should be processed on ‘m’ machines. The job can be processed on at most one machine; meanwhile one machine can be processed at most one job. A significant research effort has been committed for sequencing jobs in flow shop to minimizing the make span. Optimization algorithms such as Simulated Annealing (SA), Genetic Algorithm (GA), Ant Colony Optimization (ACO) & Neighborhood Search have played a significant role in solving small scale flow shop scheduling problems. In this paper a recently developed Teaching Learning Based Optimization (TLBO) is proposed method to solve the flow shop scheduling problems to minimize the make span. The proposed algorithm is tested on Taillard Benchmark problems and results are compared with Palmer’s & CDS Heuristic methods. The results show that the proposed algorithm is efficient in producing optimal solution and simple, easy to understand.

Co-curricular activities are seen as the best medium to develop leadership skills which can be learned, trained and upgraded from time to time through the extensive involvement of students in co-curricular activities Through involvement in various activities, leadership skills can be applied and trained in the students whether realized or not. This article is about student involvement, co-curricular activities and leadership skills. The result of the study is from analysis of data from reading material like journals of previous researches and books.

All over the world today, there is monumental degeneration and degradation of everything that hold human together for a better society. There is moral, economic, social and even political bankruptcy. There also exist natural disaster like the catastrophic earthquake – tsunami, great flash flood, hurricane and other natural disasters that have occurred and continue to occur claiming so many lives in recent times. In all these, catalysm, ruinations and great calamities, can humans be of assistance? Can we fix our seemingly titanic and mounting challenges? This paper seeks to analytically establish and affirm the cause of these problems and proffer a way out.

Culture is a system of shared meaning held by members that distinguishes the organization from other organizations. This is a set of characteristics that the organization values. It can be summarized that culture is a pattern of beliefs and expectations shared by the organization members. These beliefs and expectations produce norms that shape the behaviour of both individuals and groups within an organization. Every organization has a culture. It has its own cultural norms that constitute the expected, supported, and accepted ways of behaving. These norms are mostly unwritten and tell employees the way things really are. The present study lays stress on the Culture of the health care sector taking into consideration two hospitals i.e. SKIMS and GMC Jammu. The study revealed that SKIMS has a below satisfactory environment for OCTAPACE while as opposite holds true for GMC Jammu. The junior staff of SKIMS is less satisfied with the culture of their hospital in comparison to GMC Jammu.

Pistachio is one of the most important export and strategic agricultural product in the word and comprehensive study on its agro-ecological requirements can lead to find out the suitable areas for producing pistachio as well as addressing the best management practices to achieve the sustainability. This paper tries to review agro-ecological requirements (climate, soil and site) for pistachio after describing the role and the limitation levels of the climatic, landscape and soil properties that influencing on the yield and quality of the pistachio trees and their nuts, respectively.

Currently many bacteria have been exploited for production of biopolymers for various industrial applications. The need for biopolymers has been increasing constantly along with increase in human needs. In the present study two important biopolymers- edo polymer (PHA) and exopolymer (EPS) was extracted and characterized from the Bacillus sp. 2-11. The ability of Bacillus sp.2-11 to produce PHA was identified by simple and rapid Sudan black B staining method. Similarly the presence of exopolysaccharides was identified by Alcian Blue staining method. The ability of the organism to utilize cheap substrates as carbon source for polyhydroxyalkonates (PHA) and exopolysaccharide (EPS) production was determined. Rice bran, wheat bran, molasses and sago liquid wastes were supplemented as carbon substrate in nitrogen free production medium. The most suitable carbon source was sago liquid waste as it showed 42.15% and 50.80% PHA and EPS yield respectively. It was also observed that PHA yield was growth associated whereas EPS production was observed at the late exponential phase. Both FT-IR and GC-MS analysis confirmed the presence of PHA and EPS in Bacillus sp.2-11

Let G be a simple connected graph of order n. Let Dct(G, i) be the family of connected total dominating sets of G with cardinality i. The polynomial Dct (G, x) = dct (G, i) xi is called the connected total domination polynomial of G. In this paper, we study some properties of connected total domination polynomials of the Extended grid graph Gn. We obtain a recursive formula for dct (Gn, i). Using this recursive formula, we construct the connected total domination polynomial Dct (Gn, x) = dct(Gn, i) xi , of Gn, where dct(Gn, i) is the number of connected total dominating sets of Gn with cardinality i and some properties of this polynomial have been studied.

In the article presents the results of a study of kinetic regularities stimulated by microwave electromagnetic radiation acylation of diethylamine m-toluic acid in the presence of intense microwave absorbing Zn-B-P/Al2O3/?1- catalyst. Mounted parallel series circuit of the target formation (N, N-diethyl-m-toluic acid) and the reaction byproducts and the observed kinetic model proposed transformations. With the use of optimization software for chemical engineering processes calculated the kinetic parameters of total and partial transformations of m-toluic acid and diethylamine.

The construction of complex model of titan-magnetite granule formation of powdered materials in drum granulators taking into account of anisotropy of structure and laminating on surface is considered. It has been noted that granule formation proceeds in some stages depending on relaxation time of embryo formation. On the base of model a graphic interpretation of process of laminating of powder on surface is cited. Rheological model of compact of granules under action of external deformation stresses allowing to estimate the change of porosity and density in time of arrive is presented. The comparison of calculation and experimental results for evolution of distribution of granules on sizes has been presented.
