The present paper involves the synthesis of polyaniline (PANI) composite with cobaltmonoethanolamine [Co(mea)2(H2O)2Cl2] complex via in situ oxidative polymerization by ammonium persulphate. The complex has been synthesized by refluxing method. The composite has been subjected to elemental analysis, FTIR, and SEM characterization techniques. FTIR absorption peaks confirm the insertion of complex in the backbone of PANI. SEM of the composite also supports its successful synthesis.

The Plate Heat Exchanger(PHE) consists of a series of parallel plates that are corrugated both to increase turbulence and to give mechanical rigidity . They normally have flow ports in all four corners and are clamped together in a frame that carries bushes and nuzzles lined up with the plate ports and connected to the external pipework that carries the two liquid streams .The plates themselves are fitted with gaskets, which are shaped and located both to prevent external leakage and to direct the two liquids normally counter currently through the relatively narrow passage between alternate pairs of heat transfer plates. One of the important feature of corrugated plate heat exchangers is their wavy surfaces. This feature has many advantages and of courses some disadvantages. For example, it enhances total heat transfer coefficient, but increases pressure drops and naturally running costs. The effects of wavelength on thermal performance of the heat exchanger was investigated in this study. This paper also presents a study on calculating wavelength, which can be useful in optimization process in order to find optimum value of the wavelength.

Radiation is a volumetric phenomenon, and all solids, liquids, and gases emit, absorb or transmit radiation. However, radiation is usually considered to be a surface phenomenon for solids that are opaque to thermal radiation such as metals, woods and rocks since the radiation emitted by the interior regions of such material can never reach the surface, and the radiation incident on such bodies is usually absorbed within a few microns form the surface. Finned surfaces are used widely in industries, which due to their high temperature transferring heat by radiation is important. One of the this industry is space application, where the heat is transferred on in the mode of radiation. So, having the least material in very important in this industry. In this paper, Longitudinal fins with rectangular, triangular, concave, and convex profiles have been studied to establish the optimum dimensions based on the least material. The results showed that the concave parabolic has the best performance among other types of fins.

Present research was designed to explore the causes of violence acts of children in school through case study approach. Due to the nature of the study qualitative research approach was used and case study method was employed to unravel various causes attached with violence acts of children. Cases for the study were selected from one of the government sector school of Islamabad. Present study explored various causes of violence acts of children which are mostly related with family status, environment and intellectual level of the students. Findings of the study will help teachers and school administration to understand individual differences and also help them how they deal with highly intelligent students and motivate them to use their energies in positive way.

Kas area as a part of the “Sahydri Sub-cluster” has been declared as the World Natural Heritage Site list of the UNESCO-IUCN. Considering this it is essential to document the existing diversity of various life forms of this area. The present checklist of fungal flora of Kas is an attempt to unravel the unexplored and hidden fungal wealth. Kas is the high level ferricrete surrounded by dense stunted semi-evergreen forests which harbors myriad fungal diversity. The checklist gives the preliminary count of fungal diversity from Kas and surrounding areas. An intensive search of literature records is reported which shows 53 species of fungi and lichens belongs to 23 families and 31 genera. The present checklist of fungi from Kas and surrounding is a value addition in the floristic study of the world natural heritage sites.

Agriculture was the mainstay of the Nigerian economy before the discovery of oil in commercial quantity in the late 1960s to early 1970s. The sector provides employment opportunity for a larger portion of the nation’s population. So also is the provision of raw materials for most industries and provision of food for the nation. With the discovery of oil in the country, the sector has been witnessing decline in terms of performance. This has prompted the government in the early 1990s to establish fadama among many other measures aim at alleviating the problem facing agriculture. This study therefore examines the impact of fadama administration on the performance of agricultural sector in Nigeria. The study adopted qualitative analysis by comparing agricultural sector’s performance pre and post fadama establishment. The findings show mixed fortune in the performance of the sector. Whereas the total agricultural production has been on the increase, it has not been enough to meet the domestic consumption as the nation still import some agricultural products especially food items. Also the contribution of the sector to GDP is declining much as labour mobility from the sector to more lucrative sector is becoming rampant. The study therefore concludes that more funding be allocated to fadama in particular and the entire sector in general so as to address the problems detected by the findings.

The development of self-compacting concrete (SCC) was a significant step towards effectiveness at building sites, realistically producing prefabricated concrete rudiments, improved working conditions and better quality and emergence of concrete structures. By addition of fibres to SCC, bar reinforcement can be replaced and the performance of concrete structures improved. Self-compacting fibre reinforced concrete (SCFRC) combines the benefits of SCC in the fresh state and an enhanced performance of fibre reinforced concrete in the hardened state. With the special characteristics of SCFRC new fields of application can be explored. The objective of the study is to determine and do the comparative study of the properties of concrete containing no fibres and concrete with fibres, as well as the comparison on the effects of different type and aspect ratio of fibres to the self compacted concrete. This investigation was carried out using several tests, which included workability tests of SCC, compressive test, indirect tensile test and flexural test.
