MEPZ, an industrial unit installed at Tambaram, Chennai, developed by the Ministry of Commerce and Industries, Government of India is discharging domestic waste water generated by the workers and treated in the 1.0MLD capacity Sewage Treatment Plant with Moving Bed Bio-film Reactor. In this study, the performance of MBBR technology in removal of Biological Oxygen Demand and suspended Solids have been evaluated by testing the raw sewage and treated effluent at various situations like normal weather condition, heavy organic shock loading, dilution with storm water, when artificial aeration is disturbed due to power failure. The test results showed that the removal efficiency of BOD5 and SS from the domestic waste water in normal weather condition in more than 98%, the efficiency of MBBR has not been affected due to heavy Organic shock loading and the efficiency is about 90% in the disturbance of artificial aeration. The efficiency has been brought to this level by improving the surface area per unit volume of the carrier element as designed by the M/s Anox Kaldnes, a Norway company. It is suggested that the Moving Bed Bio-film Reactor technology could be used an ideal and efficient option for the treatment of domestic waste water, when the available area is minimum

The research study was design to measure the participants’ satisfaction with continuous professional development (CPD) program. Study also aims to explore the affects of demographic factors that can enhance or decrease the satisfaction level of the course participants. For the measurement of participants’ satisfaction quantitative and qualitative methods were used. For quanttative analysis a research tool comprised of 73 items were developed and for qualitative analysis interview method was used. The population of the study includes primary school teachers, head teachers and DTE’s. Cluster training and support center, district teacher educator and primary school teachers asked to response about continuous professional development program through the questionnaire and interview. Total number of sample was 66 PST’s, head teachers and DTE’s. The data collected through the questionnaires was analyzed with the help of statistical package for social sciences. Results reveled that overall teachers with less experience and professional qualification are more satisfied with this training; Moreover female teachers are more satisfied as compared to male participants.

In this paper, a new ultra low power digital linear phase ?nite Impulse Response (FIR) filter based on parallel architecture of Multiplication and Accumulation (MAC) with a new logic approach by Pass-Transistor Logic(PTL) is presented, PTL as an alternative logic that can enhance the design performance since PTL can transformation signals using either the source or drain and the gate. This multiplier is include three blocks booth encoder, new signed shifter and addition block. Booth encoder and shifter block are completely based on multiplexers (2-to-1). We tried to use low power design methods both in gate level and transistor level to reach minimum hardware and power consumption other resons for reduce power consumption are use D-Flip-Flop’s aim at glitch and charge sharing free structures, low power energy recovery full adder cells has been used in adders, also for increase speed, two parallel MAC are utilized. Simulation has been carried out by HSPICE in 0.18µm bulk technology at 1.8v supply voltage. Power consumption is 55uw at 100Mhz.

Thryonomys swinderianus is one of two species of cane rats. This study concerned the evaluation of the lipid profiles of T. swinderianus skin, muscle and liver. SFA (% total fatty acid) was 39.5 (muscle), 41.5 (liver) and 42.4 (skin). MUFA ranged as follows (%): 10.5 (muscle), 14.0 (liver) and 21.0 (skin). The n-6 + n-3 (PUFA) (%) of 49.9 (muscle), 44.4 (liver) and 36.5 (skin) were recorded. MUFA +PUFA predominated in all the samples having (% total fatty acid) 60.4 (muscle), 58.4 (liver) and 57.5 (skin) with respective PUFA/SFA values of 1.26, 1.07 and 0.86. The n-6: n-3 range of 50.0:1 (muscle), 83.2:1 (liver) and 15.1:1 (skin) are in unhealthy ratios. The samples would supply the following values as food source (g/kg): highest in SFA (C18:0) 0.0383 (muscle), 8.43 (skin) but C16:0 in liver (7.84) whilst highest in PUFA (C18:2n-6, trans) 5.41 (skin), 5.29 (skin) but C22:6n-3, cis in muscle (0.0185). The cholesterol level in (g/kg): skin (10.5) and liver (10.5). The highest phospholipid in the samples was phosphatidylcholine. Significant differences existed in skin/muscle, muscle/liver and skin/liver in their fatty acids as well as skin /liver in phospholipids and sterols at r = 0.05.

Stress is a dynamic condition in which individual is confronted with an opportunity, constraint, or demand related to what he or she desires and for which the outcomes are perceived to be uncertain. Constraints are barriers that keep employees away from doing what they desire. Constraints and demand can lead to potential stress, when they are coupled with uncertainty about the outcomes potential stress becomes actual stress. In this review stress is considered as an unpleasant emotion which manifests itself through tension, frustration, anxiety, anger and depression. All these emotions are result of different aspects of the working environment and personal lives of the employees. Moreover today the organizations have changed from manual to automated office management. Light of all these spasmodic changes the organizations and the individual alike have to adapt themselves in order to coop with the global challenges for survival. All these challenges consequently lead to occupational stress. The article is designed to highlight different causes and consequences of occupational stress with a view to manage it through individual and organizational approaches.

Workforce diversity and employees commitment in the context of Globalization has attained significant attention of today’s Researchers. This paper endeavors to ascertain major factors of work-setting and its effects on organizational performance. Two independent variables i.e workforce diversity and committed workforce relations have been analyzed on employee’s organizational performance. Data was collected from 286 respondents from employee’s belonging to the corporate sector of Islamabad Pakistan. Middle level management tiers were segment of the study age ranging from 30 to 40 years. Questionnaire was administered using five point likert scale. Result reveals that there is 71% variation between committed work force and organizational performance: henceforth, that committed work force is an important factor of organizational growth with a t-value of (17.295). The p values indicates that the variables are significant as P<.05. Similarly, committed work force effects have variation on organizational performance by 20 %. The results further represent that the variables are significant with the p value of <.05). It is evident from the analysis that diverse workforce oncemanaged well on the work environment and employee’s are committed then organizational performance is with t-value of 6.679. It is therefore imperative for the organizations to accord due priority to the major work-setting like diversity and employee commitment in the organizations facilitating employees to yield befitting organizational loyalty.

Tuberculosis caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis and has increased dramatically in recent years because of their tendency to develop new strains under any circumstances and developing resistance against the available drugs. In spite of many significant advances in tuberculosis chemotherapy, the widespread use and misuse caused the emergence of bacterial resistance to drugs, In particular, the emergence of multidrug resistant and extensive drug resistance strains, which is a serious threat to public health. Therefore, recently attention has focused on the treatment of tuberculosis to against resistant mycobacterium species has become one of the most important areas. Therefore, in this article efforts have been directed toward exploring potential of ethambutol and its analogues as antitubercular agents. Although, there is an increasing resistance to antimicrobial drugs, to overcome the development of drug resistance it is necessary to synthesize new derivatives of antibacterial agent ethambutol.

One of the key issues in assessing the reliability of power systems. Studies and projects to improve the reliability of the distribution network has mostly been focused on changing the structure of the distribution system or transmission the Executive them even more expensive and is not available. In this work, the development of DG units in distribution networks the presence of these materials ensure that the indicators qabylt distribution network will pay. In this thesis, the main goal of distributed production system effects on the reliability of the system with regard to limitations related parameters such as voltage profiles and losses in the distribution network. Concepts and indicators of the reliability of the network and the ongoing impact of DG units on the reliability of the distribution network will be investigated. Finally, the intelligent ant colony algorithm to determine the optimal location generation units in order to achieve the best reliability indices by including restrictions have been charged. The proposed algorithm is tested on 34 bus IEEE network simulation, simulated and results are compared.

The present study was carried out to investigate the effect of key word method on the retention rate of Iranian EFL learners. Thus far, the studies on the efficiency of key-word method, as a strategy of vocabulary learning, have indicated mixed results, and reached no conclusive findings. To carry out the study, 40 students were chosen from among university students registered for English classes in Isfahan University. They were all pretested to make sure that they did not know the target words that were supposed to be taught in order to find out their retention rates. All the learners were divided into two groups: one key-word method group (KWMG) and one rehearsal method group (RMG). The same set of words was taught to both groups. For the first group, we used key-word method and we let the students to choose and use their own key words, which would lead to deeper processing of information, in order to enhance long term retention. For the second group only rehearsing of the new words was used. At the end of experiment, two tests were administered: one immediate test to check out their short term retention and one delayed post test to measure their long-term recall. The results of the study have shown no significant difference in short term retention but with regard to long-term retention, the Key-word method group students outperformed the rehearsal group. In addition, in a semi- structured interview with key word method group students, it was revealed that they show a great interest in the method, and maintained that they would opt for the method when memorizing other words.

Much has been said about the Universalism of Chomsky and his so-called revolutionary theories in the field of Modern Linguistics, but little has been done in the way of bringing in line the roots, origins and the historical bases of such a bundle of theories with Modern Western Literary Movements and the way they go back to their historical, cultural and literary tradition in describing their philosophy and assumptions. To be more specific, the present study intends to carry out a comparative study between New Criticism- as the first modern Anglo-American school of criticism- and Chomsky’s Universalism, by going to deeper levels of their priori and structure in an attempt to find a common background, as they both owe much to the heritage from which they emerge: the Old Western Tradition of Philosophy.
