Poor strategy execution has been blamed for strategy failure in many organizations. Strategy maps, a tool developed by Kaplan and Norton of the Balanced Scorecard Collaboration, have been hailed in both theory and practice as a robust tool in aligning strategy execution. This paper investigates strategy deployment at a firm that has not yet embraced strategy maps with the intention to demonstrate from a theoretical point of view the potential benefits of deploying the company’s strategy using strategy maps. This is achieved through a thorough study of the company’s current performance measurement system. The study identifies the operational weaknesses inherent in the current performance measurement system. In the context of the identified weaknesses, the paper projects how strategy maps can lever and align strategy execution in the attainment of the company’s mission. This work presents an experimental and numerical investigation of heat transfer characteristics for horizontal circular pipe of 500mm long fitted with ribs having middle arm with cross section of 5mm width ,5mm length, pitch=80mm, with air as the working fluid. Reynolds number ranged( Re=24253, 26119 and 27984). The steel pipe(ASM4120) was subjected to two constant surface temperatures (673Ko and 973Ko). The experimental data obtained were compared with plain (without ribs). Based on the same coolant flow, the pipe with ribs was found to possess the highest performance factors for turbulent flow. The results show a good agreement between theoretical and experimental bulk temperature by factor 0.9%, 1% for inner wall temperature and 0.8% for average Nusselt number. Using ribs improved the heat transfer in a circular tube. All studies where carried out using workbench program FlUENT14.5 by using K-? model.

The research aims to highlight the importance of maintenance in general and the maintenance of school buildings, in particular, to identify the problems and constraints of maintenance of school buildings and the extent of follow-up schools and authorities competent departments in the perpetuation of educational facilities to ensure its functionality and maintain the integrity of the building and the level of comfort to the user through an elected sample intentional architectures school implemented by the Ministry of Education or on behalf of, where the research contained the first two parts of data collection and recording observations, as well as data obtained from the survey of school buildings and personal interviews of specialists from the teachers and the administration of Engineers personnel and gentlemen in school buildings department and the second part questionnaire that were distributed to the elected school principals, showed the results of the analysis of data from many weaknesses in practice maintenance system, including administrative and planning and organizational side and the lack of engineering staff with competence and experience and good performance and a lack of honesty in the use of high quality materials.

A twelve week nutritional study was conducted to investigate the effect of replacing soybean with copra meal on the growth performance of Clarias gariepinus. Two hundred and ten Juveniles of Clarias gariepinus with mean weight+/- 14.43g were stocked at a rate of (14) fourteen juveniles per treatment and replicated three times. The fish were subjected to five different dietary treatments with varying levels of copra meal replacing soybean at 0%, 10%, 20%, 30% and 40%. Feeding rate of 3% body weight per day was adopted. Fish growth was monitored regularly by weighing every two weeks. The mean weight gain(MWG), specific growth rate (SGR), percentage weight gain (PWG) were significantly different (p< 0.05) and highest values (14.28g, 98.96% 68.79%/day) were recorded respectively for fish fed diet 5 (40% copra meal) while fish fed diet 3 (20% copra meal) had the least values of MWG, PWG and SGR ( 60.52g,83.16% and 60.52%/day) respectively. Treatment 5 had the least feed conversion ratio (FCR) of 1.93, showing this treatment to be highly efficient while treatment 1, 2, 3 and 4 had the highest values ranging between 2.10 – 2.11 The protein efficiency ratio (PER) and gross feed conversion efficiency (GFCE)were significantly different (P<0.05). Highest values of PER and GFCE (1.73, 51.80%) were recorded for treatment 5 and least values of 0.84 and 47.30% were found in treatment 3 respectively. The positive relationship observed between the growth parameters and the level of copra meal in the diet showed that African cat fish can utilize Copra meal efficiently to improve growth. It was therefore concluded that up to 40% copra meal could adequately and efficiently replace soybean meal without any adverse effect on Clarias gariepinus diets.

Wood properties of plantation grown (Mangifera indica L.) were evaluated in this study to determine the utilization potentials of this species in Nigeria. Five standing trees of Mangifera indica, were sampled at the butt, 50% merchantable length ML and 75% ML, and were radially partitioned into corewood, middlewood and outerwood, on the basis of distance from pith. Result obtained was analyzed using ANOVA at 5% level. MOR, MOE and MCS// decreased generally from base to top for all the sampled and variation in MOE was inconsistent. All properties studied increased from corewood to outerwood. The mean modulus of rupture (MOR) was 25.88N/mm2 which ranged 18.73 to 31.88 N/mm2 radially and the axial values ranged from 23.30 to 25.29 from 32.89 N/mm2.The mean modulus of elasticity (MOE) was 4628.20 N/mm2 and ranged from 7135.20 to 3665.60 N/mm2 radially and axially ranged from 4077.90 to 7334.20 N/mm. The mean maximum compressive test (MCS//) parallel to the grain was 13.00 N/mm2, it ranged from 11.50 to 18.0 N/mm2 radially while axially ranged from 11.30 to 14.60N/mm2. In particular, it was observed that Mangifera indica compared favourably with some economic tree species such as Chrysophyllum albidum, Hevea brasiliensis, Antaris africana and Hildergedia barteri but lower than those of economic tree species such as Milicia excelsa, khaya species, e.t.c. Woods of Mangifera indica varied significantly along and across the bole, and should be treated as such in their conversion and utilization. The wood is good in the production of low-to-medium items such as cabinet, chair frames and plywood production.

Uncertainty of measurement has attracted more researchers in recent past. In this paper ,an attempt is made to review the status of literature in measurement uncertainty. The uncertainty of measurement is related to measurement and calibration process only. A very few literature are available related to uncertainty of measurement. A literature classification scheme is suggested. A number of articles from referred international journals and international conferences are classified based on various methodology (GUM, analytical approach and Monte-Carlo approach etc). The paper shows the country wise awareness in the field of uncertainty. The gap in the research are identified along with the scope of UOM in various application.

Posterior reversible encephalopathy syndrome (PRES) is a clinical-neuroradiological entity characterized by headache, vomiting, altered mental status, blurred vision and seizures as well as images suggesting white-gray matter edema involving mostly in posterior regions of the central nervous system as seen by magnetic resonance image. The risk factors are malignant hypertension, eclampsia, chemotherapy agents, chronic renal failure, bone marrow transplantation. We present a case of 22 yr primi para who had normal delivery five days back without preeclampsia or eclampsia which is very rare.

Three novel phenyl-dibenzo [b, h][1,6]naphthyridine derivatives were synthesized in five steps, from ethyl benzoyl acetate and aniline derivatives. A total of 48 minutes reaction time was recorded for the latter four steps using microwave irradiation. The yield of the final products and all intermediate products were over 80%.

This paper reviews the empirical study on Excluded people (Dalit Christians) in Indian Society. Dalit Christian is more painful and humiliating to compare than other communities because of the Caste of the society. Dalits who converted to Christianity did not escape the caste system which has a strongly fixed presence in Indian society. The problem of Dalit has elicited considerable interest in the minds of researchers in recent times. In this study main objectives is to identify the Justice, Social, Economical and Political status of Dalit Christians in Puthukottai District and to suggest a suitable action plan for their sustainable development. Tools for Data Collation In the present study data were both ‘primary’ as well as ‘secondary’ sources. The dates were collected primary sources constituted of the respondent of all age groups and the sample size was study has been drawn by using census method. Total sample selected for the study are 9310 respondents, in this study would used family census method. The researcher was selected four Taluks in Puthukottai District and each four Taluks, ten areas have selected based village, urban, semi – urban in this method were selected areas. Design of the Study here, descriptive design will be used to describe the data. The collected data were analysed with the help of descriptive and simple percentage. The collected data were analyzed to get a better understanding of the Justice, Social, and Economical and Political statues of Dalit Christains in Puthukottai district.

Farming today has gone beyond subsistence farming that produces for the farmer and his household. Research shows that the consumption of grains or cereal crops is at an alarming rate in the world, so to encourage small farm holders a manually operated multi-crop hand push planter with changeable metering devices for cowpea, maize and soybean was designed, fabricated and evaluated to improve planting efficiency and reduce drudgery involved in manual planting method. The laboratory and field tests were conducted to determine weight of seeds discharged from the planter, seed percentage damage, field capacity, average depth of placement of seeds in furrow, average inter-row spacing of seeds and the emergence of the seedlings. Results revealed that the planter had field efficiency and field capacity of 76.3% and 0.39 ha/hr with seed rate of 0.25 kg/ha, 0.18 kg/ha and 0.21kg/ha respectively for cowpea, maize and soybean. Percentage difference between the seed damage of 3.54%, 2.32% and 1.32% of cowpea, maize and soybean respectively obtained was from an average spacing of 40.8cm and depth of 3.98cm. The single-row multi-crop planter is very simple to use and it is maintenance free, except for the bearings which needs to be lubricated from time to time to allow the planter's ground wheel to move freely. For this design, the drive shaft directly controls the seed metering mechanism which eliminates completely attachments such as pulleys, belt systems, and gears thereby eliminating complexities which increase cost, and increasing efficiency at a highly reduced cost which is the focus of this project work. The planter can be easily maintained without any technicality and all materials used for the fabrication are locally available in the case of worn - out parts.
