Biological sulfur acquisition: an update
Sulfur is an essential macronutrient for plants. As a constituents of sulfure containing amino acids, methionine and cysteine are also important for animal and human nutrition. That is why understanding of how inorganic sulfure is taken up by plants and built into organic molecules in the process of sulfur assimilation is important. The process of sulfur uptake and assimilation is an integral part of sulfur metabolism. The major physiological problem connected with sulfur metabolism is a sulfur deficiency stress which can be diagnosed in two states. The short -term response is characterized by the development of enhance lateral roots exploring the space in search for lacking nutrients. The long- term response is characterized by decrease in internal lipids, and chlorophyll content and increase in photorespiration. These factor provide-cause effect connections to decrease photosynthesis leading to limitation in energy assimilation, which is turn induces in decline of plant metabolisms.

Promoting students’ creativity through leadership styles
In today’s competitive world, the only thing that is constant is change. As a result, creative capacity is the key. Creativity has become a topic of ever-increasing interest in educational settings. Like it or not, teachers serve as the metronome in the classroom. The meter and behavior established by them set the patterns and establish the models for students’ behavior as individuals and as a group. Thus, there is a need to identify the role of teacher leadership behaviors for students’ creativity. The purpose of this article is to propose possible approaches to facilitate creativity in the classroom, especially with the emphasis on leadership perspective. First, the definition of creativity is discussed. Then based on the literature, several strategies and ideas of promoting creativity are reviewed. Next, a possible model is proposed, including knowledge, creative thinking, motivation and self-efficacy, goal setting and work group, transformational leadership, and supportive leadership. Finally, the implication of this model is described.

Evaluation of the Physicochemical Characteristics of Water in the Lower Litani Basin, Lebanon
The physicochemical characteristics of water in the Lower Litani River Basin (LLRB) were evaluated. It concerns with analyzing six representatives sites which are investigated over three seasons of the year 2011. The principal component analysis (PCA) method was used to interpret the elemental concentrations in the river water. Many variables were evaluated, especially the components or metals Fe, NO2-, CaCO3, Cu. Three groups were identified and differentiated by PCA according to the seasons. The first group is rich in Fe and NO2, and low in NH4 and EC (in the mid rainy season). The second group formed in dry season and the third group with low concentration of K+, PO43- and Cl- (in mid rainy). However, no critical pollution has been reported in this part of the river; except the high concentration of Fe and NO2 - in all investigated sites due to the reject of wastewater and touristic activities.

Analysis of globalization-driven reforms in education: Critical Theory Approach (CTA)
This paper analyzes the impacts of globalization-driven reforms on higher education focused on them with reference to policy context, process and content because education and globalization are essentially interrelated to each other. Globalization is a multidimensional concept that involves economic integration; the transfer of policies across border; transmission of knowledge; cultural stability; relation and discourse of power; it is a global process, a revolution, and an establishment of global market free from socio-political control. Globalization is a phenomenon that encompasses all of these, however; it is significant that this term bring with it several hidden agendas too. We have used Critical Theory Approach (CTA) which is based on the Critical Theory. This social theory oriented toward critiquing and changing society as whole, on the contrary to traditional theory which is oriented only to understanding or explaining it. Critical theory aims to dig beneath the surface of social life and uncover the assumptions that help to discover and true facts about the real function of a system. A critical policy analysis is directed toward discovering links between policy context, process and content. This study is based on the hypothesis that Neoliberalism, globalization and higher Education are closely interlinked. The findings are based on the review of literature that reveals that the paradigm of the globalization is Neoliberalism. Therefore, the globalization-driven reforms (competitiveness-driven reforms, finance-driven reforms, and equity-driven reforms) all aim at achieving the goals of Neoliberalism. The governments need to keep their ideological, political and economic situation in view while formulating the educational policies because each government functions in different scenario.

Contributions of covering materials to indoor radon concentration in buildings in Ogbomoso, Nigeria
The contributions of different covering materials used on internal building surfaces including walls, ceilings and floors to indoor radon concentration in 36 buildings were measured using an active electronic device, the Safety Siren Pro Series 3 Radon Detector (Model HS71512). The three commonest combinations of covering materials in Ogbomoso are (A): paint, paint, carpet; (B): paint, fibre board, plastic tile; (C): paint, fibre board, ceramic tile. The buildings with combination (C) contributed the highest to the indoor radon concentration in buildings investigated in Ogbomoso while buildings with combination (A) contributed the least. The mean value for combinations (B) and (C) were found to be slightly greater than the world average of 40 Bqm-3 (UNSCEAR, 2000). A person living in building with combination (A) receive an annual dose to the lungs smaller than someone living in a building with combination (B) and (C) by 2.0216 x 10-8 Svy-1

Effects of ventilation on indoor radon concentrations in offices in Ladoke Akintola University of technology ogbomoso, Nigeria
Radon and its progenies are potential health hazards. The levels of radon concentration in homes and workplaces have been found to depend on meteorological and geological conditions, construction materials, and ventilation. The variation of radon concentration with ventilation conditions in ten offices at the campus of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso, Nigeria, has been studied in this work. The measurement of Radon-222 concentrations at each of the locations was done using an active electronic radon gas detector (pro series 3, model HS71512). The statistical variation of the five ventilation conditions with Radon-222 was determined at 0.05 level of significance, using analysis of variance. The Radon-222 concentrations for various ventilation conditions ranged from 20.0 to 51.8Bq m-3. The average concentration of indoor radon in the offices was measured to be 37.0 ± 8.39 Bq m-3. Natural mode of ventilation was discovered to be the most efficient way to lower the radon levels which were observed to depend significantly on the ventilation conditions. Despite the significant effect of ventilation on the indoor radon level, the radon concentration values in all the ventilation conditions investigated however were lower than the recommended intervention level of between 200 – 600 Bq m-3.
