The present study deals with the fractional analysis of lipid components and their biotransformation process especially of -?3 fatty acids from primary food sources(detritus, mangrove leaves and planktons) of Cerebratulus sp. - an intertidal benthic nemertine species found in the intertidal mudflats of Subarnarekha estuary. The primary food sources of this intertidal benthic funa understudy has been shown to contain appreciable amount of -?3 fatty acids, particularly ?- linolenic acid (ALA, 18:3?3) which has been appeared to have been consumed and biotransformed in the process of food chain and food web interactions in the studied mangrove- estuarine ecosystem. On analyzing the fatty acids of muscles of studied species. Remarkeble amount of 20:5?3(EPA, Eicosapentaenoic acid) and of 22:6?3(DHA, Docosahexaenoic acid) have been found to remain present in the muscles of this animal. From the standpoint of biochemical ecology, these animals are being considered as a facilitator of chain elongation and simultaneous desaturation of ALA in order to produce essential long chain PUFA's (Polyunsaturated fatty acids), EPA and DHA which are now being recommended as an important pharmaceutical supplement.

Anticorrosion activity of Pluchea dioscoridis (L) extract (PDE) as a corrosion inhibitor for mild steel in 1M HCl has been investigated using mass loss, potentiodynamic polarization, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS), scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The mass loss results show that PDE is an excellent corrosion inhibitor. The inhibition efficiency increases with increasing the temperature from 25 to 45oC, reaching a maximum value of 82 % at the highest concentration of 300 ppm at the temperature of 45oC. Polarization measurements demonstrate that the PDE acts as a mixed type inhibitor. Nyquist plot illustrates that on increasing PDE concentration, the charge transfer increases and the double layer capacitance decreases. The adsorption of PDE on mild steel obeys Temkin adsorption isotherm. SEM studies confirm the adsorption of PDE on mild steel surface.

Inhibition of copper corrosion by some thiazolidine derivatives in 1 M HNO3 was inspected by" WL (weight loss),(EIS) electrochemical impedance spectroscopy, (EFM) electrochemical frequency modulation and potentiodynamic polarization measurements". The inhibition effectiveness expanded by the expansion in the concentration of inhibitor and deceased when temperature increased. It is clearly that these mixes work as mixed type inhibitors and that was proven by Potentiodynamic polarization study. These inhibitors whose adsorption was found to comply Langmuir adsorption isotherm. When a number of unique strategies were in great understanding, the outcomes resulted. Relationships of quantum structure-movement have been utilized to examine the molecular structure impact on the inhibitors efficiency. Dislocation of the knee represents a severe injury as a result of high velocity traumatism, multi-ligamentous injuries are usual. Clinical exam must be attentive in searching any vascular or nervous disruption. Closed reduction must be performed promptly. Primary reconstruction of the ligamentous lesions is controversial in literature. Stabilizing the knee limits neurovascular and cartilaginous damages. We report a case report of a patient who has sustained a posterolateral left knee dislocation after a road-traffic accident. Reduction was realized in care unit, followed by early reconstruction of both posterior cruciate and medial collateral ligaments using gracilis, semitendinosus and quadriceps tendon grafts. After six month, the Lysholm score was at 81 points.

Pure tibiotalar and subtalar dislocations are uncommon, they are classically associated to fractures. Open pure total talus dislocation is exceptional and results from a high velocity traumatism, especially, in younger population. Reduction and stabilization of open dislocations should be performed promptly to avoid septic and vascular complications. We report the case of a young sportive patient who had sustained a pure open right ankle dislocation associated with vertebral injury after a mountain climbing accident. The results were interesting after reduction and stabilization of tibiotalar, subtalar, talonavicular and calcaneocuboid joints with Kirschner wires, associated to repair of medial capsular and ligamentous structures.

In Nigeria, access to finance has been identified as a key element for Small and Medium Scale Enterprises to succeed in their drive to build productive capacity, compete, create jobs and contribute to poverty elimination in the country. Banks in Nigeria have been recapitalized and adopt necessary infrastructures (ICT) to enhance their performance and stimulate the real sector as catalysts of development. How effectively have they performed this function as a pivot around which economic development revolves? Without finance SMEs cannot acquire or absorb new technologies neither can they expand to compete in global market or even strike business linkages with larger firms. Despite this, SMEs have faced difficulties in obtaining formal credit or equity from the commercial banks. A regression of bank facilities to SMEs prior and after recapitalization with GDP showed a downward trend and eventual positive downward correlation movement in the main two variables. It was found that banks need to do more to assist the SMEs for effective performance than mere recapitalization.

A diffusion absorption refrigeration system is a thermal powered refrigeration system. Any low grade heat source can be used to run an absorption refrigeration system. In most of engine and industry large amount of heat is rejected as exhaust gas which is at low temperature. One of the efficient methods to utilize this energy is to convert it into cooling load by means of an absorption system. In this work exhaust gas of IC engine is used to power a commercial absorption system integrated with phase change material (PCM). PCM helps to control the generator temperature and also act as a constant temperature source whenever there is a fluctuation in the temperature. Experiment was conducted on single cylinder four stroke diesel engine exhausts coupled to a commercial 40L absorption system. PCM helps to increase the overall COP of the absorption system

The use of ICT in the banking industry is now a global phenomenon. For over a decade now, Nigerian banks have imbibed ICT culture. Hitherto financial and business transaction in Nigeria is largely cash based. This study examines the role of ICT in banking operational activities, appraise the impact of ICT on the sectors performance, determine the level of customers’ satisfaction and identify the problems with the use of ICT. It was found that ICT devices is knowledge driven process, and the procedure calls for certain level of literacy and training; but greed, ignorance, low moral value and unethical behavior have been responsible for fraud and abuses that underpin the success of ICT devices. Graphs from time Series analysis showed the performances of the 24 recapitalized Nigeria banks on pre and post ICT mass deployment basis and it was discovered that performance has not dramatically improved as expected, though better. This means a lot of work should be done on public mass enlightenment, intensification of training on ICT, moral value and ethical behavior for banks staff and hiring of dedicated people in the banking industry. Also there is a need to intensify research and development work on engineering and reengineering of soft and hardware, especially in a consortium and partnership between Banks, Academic and Research Institutions that will create a synergy effect and beneficial symbiotic relationship in ICT training and performance otherwise investment on ICT capital will be a drain.

Due to the wide acceptability of the industry for cloud computing, variety of applications are designed targeting to cloud platform which makes efficient load balancing a major bottleneck for the above. To improve the efficiency of the cloud platform, a judicial distribution of workload among the available resources needs to be ensured. To share the workload in an effective way, a proper load balancing strategy is important. This strategy comprises of information policy, triggering policy, resource type policy and selection policy. Since cloud applications are running in a distributed scenario, through this paper, researcher suggests a selection policy for load balancer in a distributed environment.

Abstract: Introduction and objective. The scientific assessment of medicinal plants used in the preparation of folk remedies has contributed modern medicine with effective pharmaceuticals for the treatment of diseases. Objective. The 50% ethonolic extract of solanum xanthocarpum (Solanaceae) whole plant was explored for its hepatoprotective and antioxidant effects on RIF+INH (50 mg/kg) induced acute liver damage in Wistar rats. Materials and Methods. The Whole plant (SX) were further subjected to various phytochemical study and the studies conclude the presence of alkaloids, flavanoids, glycosides, protein & amino acid etc. Hepatoprotection activity was measured by using enzymatic (serum glutamate oxalate transaminase and serum Glutamate Pyruvate Transaminase (SGOT and SGPT), alkaline phosphatase (ALP), total bilirubin and non enzymatic parameters (GSH, LPO, SOD, CAT) produced significantly increased and decreases serum level in a dose dependant manner. Results. The Whole plant extract SX at the doses of (125 mg/kg &250 mg/Kg) significant liver protective effect by decreasing the serum enzymatic and non enzymatic parameters, although Histopathological profile of liver at dose level 125 mg/kg showing hepatic cells with well preserved cytoplasm prominent nucleus, some of central vein and sinusoids exhibited congestion. At the same time fourth group test dose at 250 mg/kg showing well brought out central vein, hepatic cell with well preserved cytoplasm prominent nucleus. Conclusion. These all result recommended that 50% ethonolic extract of whole plant of Solanum xanthocarpum posses significant hepatoprotective activity.
