Abdominal elcetrocardiograms make it possible to dertermne the fetal heart rate and to detect multuiple fetuses and are often used during labor and delivery.the background noise due to muscular activity and feotus motion, however, often had an amplitude equal to or grater than that of fetal heartbeat.A still more serious problem is the mother’s heart beat,which has an amplitude 2 to 10 times grater thatn that of the fetal heartbeat, and often interferes in recording[1]. The Maternal ECG (MECG) is the main source of interference in Fetal ECG (FECG) monitoring. The MECG is detected at all electrodes placed on the mother’s skin (thoracic and abdominal). In the case of multi-fetal pregnancies the traditional adaptive filtering technique provides a “maternal clean“ signal consisting of the two fetal ECG signals. The noise was found to be too strong for the algorithm (and the naked eye) to notice any fetal heart signal[1]. This paper briefs the implementation of Adaptive noise cancellation algorithms such as LMS algorithm and RLS algorithm using MATLAB 6 (R12) suitable for real time implementation, which can be used during measurements, is being developed using VLSI. The best solution in case of multiple fetuses is the BSS filtering which has successfully been implemented in MATLAB.

This paper proposes a novel method of designing discrete cosine transform using Vedic mathematics. Multipliers are fundamental and area intensive component in the architecture of any DSP system. In many circumstances, there are situations where the complexity and delay of the whole circuit increases because of inefficient multipliers. So it is necessary to reduce such complexity of Multipliers for efficient DSP architecture. The design of Vedic Multiplier is aimed to create such. The design is based on the Sutras of ancient Indian Vedic mathematics which was rediscovered from Vedas between 1911 and 1918 .The whole of Vedic mathematics is based on 16 sutras and manifests unified structure of mathematics. The DCT algorithm is based on ‘Urdhva-Tiryak’ sutra .It is expected that the Vedic architecture reduces the space and time hence the complexity of the multiplier when implemented in digital domain. The algorithm is implemented using verilog HDL and is tested and verified. It is found to reduce the space and increases the speed by when compared to conventional dct using array multiplier. The multiplier can be substituted for conventional multipliers in various applications. The exploration of Vedic algorithms in Digital Signal Processing may prove to be extremely advantageous. Hence it can be applied for discrete cosine transform application.

Shampoos are products which remove surface grease and dirt from the hair shaft and scalp. The cleansing or detergent action of a shampoo along with anti microbial and anti-lice activity is beneficial for the consumers. Now a days herbal shampoo shows better activity, safer and popular when compared to the synthetic shampoos. We made an attempt to formulate a poly herbal shampoo by using neem leaf, thulasi leaf, mehandi leaf and gooseberry fruit along with synthetic compounds. The prepared formulations were evaluated for its physicochemical properties, anti-microbial and anti-lice activity; which was compared with the marketed products. The herbal shampoos showed better effects than marketed synthetic shampoo and also with lesser side effects.

A series containing fourteen substituted styryl 5-methyl-2-furyl ketones [2E- 1(5-methyl-2-furyl)-3-(substituted phenyl)-2-propen-1-ones] were synthesized by Crossed-Aldol condensation between2-acetyl-5-methylfuron and various substituted benzaldehydes. The synthesized ketones were characterized by their physical constants and spectral data. The group frequencies of infrared absorption (cm-1) of ?COs-cis and s-trans, ?CHout of plane and in-plane, ?CH=CH out of plane, ?>C=C

The use of Nyctanthes Cu corrosion behavior was tested in aerated aqueous solutions of NaCl and KCl for different pH values. Polarization resistance (R¬¬p) measurements, polarization curves and AC impedance technique were used to obtain experim ental data. Nyctanthes found to exhibit ctionic type in acidic media solution of NaCl and KCl. The impedance spectra and curves at different potentials showed that the corrosion process of metal was characterized by two distinguishable capacitance loops. The charge transfer resistance Rt and polarization resistance, Rp values calculated from the interpretation of Nyquist and Boad plots were in agreement with the results of the other techniques.

Hair colour is on a high, accounting for major part of the sale of hair care products and spurring new launches. Hair colour today doesn’t necessarily cover strands of gray. A shade of bright burgundy or golden chocolate could well be a fashion statement and colouring hair is definitely a range among urban youth and account for 20 percent growth. The Indian cosmetics market is one segment where the traditional hair treatments sell as much as newer category hairstyling and hair care products. Traditional herbal powders and hair oils for hair conditioning share the same shell with high-end products. The traditional hair care and hair styling methods are changing, which means that buyers are now ready to accept newer product categories. Hence an attempt has been made to study the hair colouring user, their brand preference, whether male or female users more, source of awareness, base of hair colour.

Polyphenols widely distributed in plants, fruits and vegetables have received considerable attention because of their physiological functions including antioxidant, antimutagenic and/or cancer preventive activities. The present study aims to process cocoa beans and to estimate the quantity of epicatechin after processing. The seeds of Theobroma cocoa were subjected to two different treatments. One set of seeds were allowed to boil and other for fermentation. Both the boiled seeds and fermented seeds were further grouped into two. The first group of boiled seeds was dried and deshelled (BNR), second group of seeds were dried and roasted (BR). The fermented seeds were then dried under sunlight and deshelled without roasting (FNR) and the other group of seeds was roasted and deshelled (FR). The obtained seeds were ground to cocoa liquor and polyphenols were extracted using various solvents and concentrated by rotary evaporation, and these solutions were subjected to HPLC analysis and eluted compounds were detected by monitoring UV absorbance at 280 nm. The calibration curves were compared against the standard which was run at same nm. The obtained calibration curves identified the presence of the polyphenolic compound-epicatechin at 6 min. The sample BNR possessed the maximum concentration of o.938mg/g of epicatechin whereas the sample FR doesn’t obtained any peak representing the presence of epicatechin. Hence the study concludes that processing that involves fermentation and heat reduced epicatechin content as well as antioxidant activity.

An adequate blood flow supply is necessary for all organs of the body. Analysis of the blood flow finds its importance in the diagnoses of diseases. There are many techniques for analyzing the blood flow. These techniques are not affordable by the poor people because of their high expense. So we have implemented a technique called Zoom-FFT. This technique is simple and affordable to detect the blood clots and other diseases. Here a specific application will be dealt i.e., ultrasonic blood flow analyzer using ZOOM FFT. The implementation must be achieved with a single VLSI chip in order for the system to be both cost-effective and power efficient and thus widely accepted.

An advertisement is a form of persuasive communication with the public. The communication is usually sided, in one direction from the advertiser and to the public. The member of the public are free to respond to it in their own way, the responses is at an individual or family level. There is little or no dialogue with the public, advertising forces itself upon the public. At the same time, especially in a democracy with a market economy, such communication is required so that intelligent choices are made. Advertising is the promotion of a product or service and is extremely pervasive in contemporary society. To maximize sales, companies will pay a premium for wide exposure through the mass media. Advertising space is common, but not restricted to these realms; billboards, public transportation, movies (product placement), schools, clothing, even bathroom stalls carry ads and the industry is constantly finding new ways to advertise.

An innovative approach incorporated to predict large quantity of rose water extraction through distillation process in a solar still under the climatic conditions of Coimbatore, India (11?.00 N, 77 ? E). The rose water extraction to utilize the process is performed to increase the large yield rate by coupling the still with the concentrating assembly. The hourly rose essence yield from the still and efficiency are recorded. In normal evaporation process of the still requires more time to evaporate the content in the still which spends 1½ hour for evaporation. But in this type of still concentrator plays a major role for evaporating the content within a short duration of time. It requires only 10 minutes for evaporation. Thus this type of still is very much support to extract the rose essence without any loss of smell. The conventional solar still loses its smell even before the evaporation process.
