To assess a translated work, just like marking a translation, is a highly subjective task. There is not any objective index according to which, reviewers can assess or mark a translation. So, many reviewers employ a holistic approach to translation quality assessment. Although, there are some models like Waddington’s (2001), which are less subjective, and translation is assessed according to some pre-set criteria. In this paper, Waddington’s model (2001) was applied on the Persian translation of George Orwell’s 1984, by Baluch. Twenty paragraphs were chosen randomly and compared and contrasted precisely with their parallel translations to assess the quality of translation. By close investigation of the model, Waddington’s model turned to be incomplete, regarding translation shifts and additions. Besides, the holistic method proved not to be sufficient as it should be and the model is more of academic contexts, rather than appropriate for general use for Translation Quality Assessment.

Granule size is used as a parameter and as a quality specification by manufacturers while designing a cost- effective prilling tower for obtaining a standard granule size. In this study, we obtained a standard 2 mm diameter granule using an alternate prilling method other than those available in the industry.

In this paper, low frequency oscillations in power system under the different operating conditions have been solved through conventional power system stabilizer and PID based power system stabilizer. The tuning of the parameters of the PSSs are considered as optimization problem, and the parameters are tuned using genetic search algorithm. Here forth –order linear and non-linear model of the synchronous machine (model 1.1) which includes both the generator main field winding and the damper winding in q-axis is considered for finding out the sensitivity of electromechanical modes of single machine infinite bus system. The effectiveness of automatic voltage controller, and Conventional and PID -power system stabilizer are identified through eigen value analysis and participation factor method. The non-linear simulation results show the effectiveness and capability of two schemes of PSS for power system stability improvement under various disturbances.

In this paper we introduced the modified version of the differential transform method, which is called the projected differential transform method (PDTM) .This method can be easily applied to the initial value problems with less computational work. It can also be applied to solve linear and nonlinear partial differential equations. Firstly, we stated the definition of the projected transform method, and some related theorems. Then some illustrative examples are given, the numerical results of these examples compared with those obtained by the Differential transform method are found to be the same.

The variability of design parameters caused by material properties is a major challenge in designing microelectro-mechanical systems (MEMS). The function of MEMSs is significantly influenced by this variability. We consider a thin-film resonator to show how the influence of scattering design parameters affect the behavior of the resonator. Here we used different material properties such as material density, poisson’s ratio, young’s modulus to analyse the performance of resonator

The simple random sampling technique was employed in selecting 62 farmers drawn from the sampling frame obtained from the list of Agricultural Development Programme (ADP) contact farmers in the four Local Governments Areas (LGAs) of Egbedore, Olorunda, Ede South and Ife Central, which made up the study area. The main instrument for collecting the primary data was structured questionnaire. It is evident from the result is that an average total cost of N371486.35 was incurred per annum by fish farmers while gross revenue of N791242.52 was realized with a gross margin of N 574314 and a profit of N 419756.17. The rate of return on investment of 0.58 implies that for every one naira invested in Fish production by farmers, a return of N1.5 and a profit of 58k were obtained. The multiple regression result revealed that fish output was significantly determined by pond size, labour used, cost of feeds, cost of lime and cost of fingerlings. The coefficient of determination indicates that 52.2% of the variation in the value of fish output was explained by pond size, quantity of labour used, cost of feed, cost of lime and cost of fingerlings. The study concluded that fish production in the study area is economically rewarding and profitable.

Linguists interest in discourse in recent years is gradually shifting from the traditional focus on ideational dimension of texts and speech to the ways they function interpersonally. Such a view argues that writers or speakers do not simply produce a text to convey information and to represent an external reality. They, however, seek to ensure that the information they present is understandable and acceptable. In this regard, they draw their addressees in, and try to motivate them to follow along. To communicate effectively, they anticipate their receivers' expectations, requirements and resources, and try to engage them in their texts and affect their understandings of them. Writing or speaking is, therefore, viewed as a social and communicative process between writers or speakers and readers or listeners.

Grammatical metaphor is a kind of variation to semantics in different degrees caused by some deviation of grammatical character. From the view of meta function in systematic-functional linguistics, the author discusses three forms of grammatical metaphor systematically: ideational metaphor, interpersonal metaphor, textual metaphor and their techniques of expression.

For every human being there is no life without breathing. Respiration plays a vital role in all living beings. This respiration get affected by many factors. Particularly lung tumor causes major problem during inspiration and expiration. So it is necessary to develop a technique which gives detailed knowledge about the breathing dynamics. The techniques to detect lung tumours in process are invasive in some way whereas 3D modelling of lung will be helpful in detecting lung tumors which is a non-invasive technique. Thus, computer aided modelling of respiratory motion gains importance. In this paper we present an approach to model thermal expansion sensor using MEMS which helps to detect lung tumors in miniatureway.

In this work, we introduced the novel computational algorithm for solving linear and nonlinear system of partial differential equation by using the projected differential transform method. Several illustrative examples are demonstrated to show the efficiency of the projected differential transform for solving initial value problems .All numerical results compared with those obtained by another analytic and numerical method; such as Adomain decomposition, variational iteration and spline method are found to be the same.
