The interaction between a luminescent metal-ligand probe, [Ru(dpp)3]2+ (dpp = 4,7- diphenyl-1,10- phenanthroline disulphonic acid) with bovine serum albumin(BSA) was investigated by means of absorption and fluorescence spectroscopy. The fluorescence of BSA was quenched by the ruthenium (??) complexes and the quenching mechanism was considered as static by forming a complex. The association constant Kb and the number of binding sites, n were calculated using the modified Stern Volmer equation. The fluorescence of the metal complex is highly enhanced by the addition of BSA. In addition, the results of synchronous fluorescence spectra showed that binding of the metal probe with the BSA induce conformational changes in BSA. The fluorescent enhancement of the system is found to be originated from the hydrophobic microenvironment provided by BSA.

Regression testing leads to running many tests many times. Hence it requires more cost. The most robust and straight forward technique for regression testing is to accumulate all integration tests and rerun them whenever new components are integrated into the system. This requires developers to keep all tests up-to-date, to evolve them as the subsystem interfaces changes and to add new integration tests as new services or new subsystems are added. As regression testing can become time consuming, test suite minimization (also known as Test Suite Reduction) technique is best suited to tackle it . In this paper we have explained the heuristic approach to solve this optimization problem.

The synthesis of nanoparticles has been entirely a chemical process till last few years. Because of environmental threat, the development of eco-friendly processes for the synthesis of nano-materials is the need of the day. One approach that shows great potential is synthesis of nanoparticles using micro-organisms and plants. The present study deals with the synthesis of silver nanoparticles and investigating the effect of process variables like reductant concentrations, reaction pH, mixing ratio of the reactants and interaction time on the morphology and size of silver nanoparticles synthesized using aqueous extract of previously unexploited plant Cephalandra indica leaves. These nanoparticles were characterized with UV-Vis spectrum, FTIR and SEM analysis which revealed that the morphology and size of silver nanoparticles were strongly dependent on the process parameters. Within 4 hrs interaction period, the nanoparticles are polydisperse and nearly spherical shape with size ranging from 40 to 90nm in size. Further these biologically synthesized nanoparticles were found to be highly toxic against different bacterial species.

Separation of ions is a major problem in chemical industries. There are several techniques to separate ions, one of the technique is the use of electrokinetic valve. Electrokinetic valve is used to separate ions by applying external electric field. Earlier it is designed using CAD software. In this paper we present an approach of designing electrokinetic valve using COMSOL multiphysics in a miniature way.

This paper presents sizing and control methodologies for a lead-acid flow battery-based energy storage system fed by Solar Photovoltaic system. The results show that the power flow control strategy does have a significant impact on proper sizing of the rated power and energy of the system. This paper focuses on the development of a control strategy for optimal use of the battery storage system through sliding mode controller. The effectiveness of this control strategy has validated through experimentation.

Health and hygiene are the primary requirements for human beings to live comfortably and work with maximum efficiency. Mosquitoes home in on people because they give off carbon dioxide, lactic acid, body odor and heat. A mosquito repellent textile protects the human beings from the bite of mosquitoes and thereby promising safety from the diseases like malarial fever. There are many natural plant products, which show mosquito repellent properties. Extracts from roots, stem, leaves, flowers, fruits and seeds of diverse species of plants exhibit mosquito repellent properties. These extracts can be used as textile finishing agents in the crude form or as microcapsules to enhance the durability and controlled release of the extracts. Lemon grass is one such plant well known for its medicinal properties. In the present study, 100% polyester fabric was finished with lemon grass oil to check for its mosquito repellent properties. The results show that, the microencapsulated polyester fabric showed highest mosquito repellent activity (92%) when compared with the fabric finished by pad dry cure method. FTIR analysis of the microcapsules finished fabric also reveals additional functional groups imparted to the fabric by microencapsulation compared to the control.

Location Intelligence with its ability to manage, display, and analyze business information spatially, is emerging as a powerful tool to help retailers achieve all the above. Location Intelligence is the ability to take organizational data and apply location to allow effective decision-making. The organizational data comes from the Business Intelligent system (BI) and the location (spatial) support is derived from the Geographic Information System (GIS). BI systems handle the ‘who’, ‘what’ and ‘when’. GIS is a powerful location tool, which enables the analysis of the “where ”Retail location analysis deals with the collection, analysis and dissemination of spatially referenced information, which is ideally handled by location intelligent systems. Location Intelligence allows easy visualization of the geographically influenced behaviors, activities, trends and processes, communicate the same for improved analysis and decision making. The focus of this paper is to understand the use of location intelligence system on retail location decisions.

Asynchronous Transfer Mode (ATM) is a connection-oriented packet switching technique that is universally accepted as the transfer mode of choice for Broadband Integrated Services Digital Network. The Quality of Service (QoS) capabilities of ATM is one of its major strength. In this paper we have explore some of the technological challenges and issues which plays important role in the security of ATM networks.

Acoustic power transmi-tter was introduced using comsol multiphysics. They can provide electronic energy to other implanted devices by receiving an external acoustic wave generated from the skin surface of the subcutaneous tissue. Piezoelectric ceramics make the internal devices of the receiver, and they are directly charged, converting pressure into an extractable electrical energy. Moreover, the less weight material such as aluminium is used to design the internal devices. Additionally, the designs of transducer which can efficiently absorb the generated charges were also designed using comsol. The actuator which can efficiently generate the required acoustic waves are analysed. The shear bender model generates the required acoustic waves, they were used here to generate the required charges .The material properties for different elements were chosen to maximize the output power .The output power developed is analysed for the different tissue properties such as fatty tissue or muscular tissue .The charge developed is maximum at the top surface of transducer which are easy to extract it to other devices.

The self-adjointness of product of two singular differential operators generated by a th-order symmetric differential expression is discussed. By means of the construction theory of real parameter on differential operators and matrix computation, the necessary and sufficient conditions which make the product being the self-adjoint operators in are obtained.
