The spectroscopic characteristics (IR) and the thermal properties (TGA, DTG and DTA) of the solid complexes obtained by the reaction of 2-hydroxyphenylhydrazoacetoacetanilide (2-HPHAAA) with Uranyl(II), and Thorium (IV) are reported and discussed.

In order to get good-quality crystals, method of slow evaporation was adopted to grow pure and L-Arginine doped Zinc (tris) Thiourea sulphate (ZTS) single crystals. The grown crystals are semiorganic non linear in nature whose lattice parameter values were found out using single x-ray diffraction analysis. The different functional bond frequencies associated with the crystals, decomposition temperature, and weight loss were found out from Fourier transform infra-red (FTIR) spectroscopic analysis, differential thermal analysis (DTA), and thermo-gravimetric analysis (TGA) respectively. The optical behavior, mechanical stability and etching nature were also analysed. The SHG efficiency of the grown crystals was measured through NLO studies.

Single crystals of pure and Glycine-doped Zinc Thiourea Chloride (ZTC) were grown by slow evaporation technique. 1 molar percent of Glycine was added in saturated ZTC solution. The chemical composition of the crystals were determined by Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) analysis. The unit cell parameters and crystal structure were determined by single crystal X-ray diffraction. The UV-visible absorption spectra of pure and Glycine-doped ZTC showed excellent transmittance from 300 nm to 1100 nm. The thermal stability of the grown crystals was studied by thermo-gravimetric analysis (TGA). The second-harmonic generation efficiencies were studied by Kurtz and Perry powder SHG test and observed an enhancement in the SHG efficiency of Glycine-doped ZTC. Micro hardness study was also carried out on the samples to study the mechanical stability of the grown crystals.

The minimum cardinality of a complementary tree dominating set is called the complementary tree domination number of G and is denoted by ctd(G).The chromatic number of G is the minimum number of colours assigned to the vertices of G such that no two adjacent vertices have the same colour and is denoted by (G).In this paper we investigate cubic graphs for which ctd(G) = (G).

The corrosion and synergistic inhibition behaviour of mild steel in H2SO4 (pH=1) in the presence of 2 mercapto Benzidazol (MBI), 2 Mercapto Benzithiazol (MBT) and 2 Mercapto 5 Methylbenzimidazol (MMBI) and potassium chloride (KCl), potassium Bromide (KBr) and potassium iodide (KI) was investigated using weight loss measurements, potentiodynamic polarization measurements and electrochemical impedance measurements. The inhibition efficiency has been found to increase with inhibitor concentration. All the three inhibitors function through adsorption followed Langmuir isotherm and made contribution with physical adsorption. It has been found the addition of potassium halides enhanced the inhibition action and the maximum enhancement has been obtained in case of the KI compared to other halides for each inhibitor. The inhibition system composed by 500 ppm MBT and 700 ppm KI offered maximum corrosion protection (~96%). On the other hand, it was found that the inhibiting effect of MBI, MBT and MMBI decreased with exposure period and temperature of the corrosion medium. The potentiodynamic results showed that these compounds suppressed both cathodic and anodic processes; preferentially acting on cathodic areas. The presence of these inhibiting species decreased the double layer capacitance and increased the charge transfer resistance, derived from Nyquist plots obtained from impedance studies. The comparative FTIR studies between pure compound and respective metal surface product indicated the presence of inhibitor in the metal surface product obtained after exposure in inhibited solutions. SEM analysis suggested that the metal had been protected from the aggressive corrosion because of the addition of the inhibitors on the surface.

A palynological study of forty ditch-cutting samples from CHEV-2 well drilled offshore in the Niger Delta showed that the sediments were mainly deposited during the Miocene age. Palynological assemblage was dominated by pollen and spores with rare occurrence of dinoflagellate cysts. The stratigraphic ranges of Retitricolporites irregularis, Psilatricolporites crassus, Echitritricolporites spinosus, Zonocostites ramonae, Foveotricolporites crassiexius, Monoporites annulatus, Psilatricolporites operculatus, Multiareolites formosus, Podocarpus milanjianus and some other marker species were used to demarcate five informal palynogical zones in the study area.

In this paper, the application of the fully automated road detection for high resolution panchromatic images is proposed. This approach includes image binarization, boundary tracing algorithm and mathematical morphology reconstruction in order to retrieve main regions which have high potential to be regarded as road. Fuzzy C-means clustering is used for image binarization. Moore-Neighbour tracing algorithm modified by Jacob's stopping criteria is applied for tracking and labelling regions then flood-fill algorithm is exerted on regions in order to fill holes. Afterwards, four main shape-factors are introduced which can effectively discriminate between road and other terrain features. The R, H, Q and C factors that are relevant to shape of road are defined in this research. K-means cluster is then utilized to separate the roads from others, based on mentioned shape-factors. The algorithm has been tested with PANchromic (PAN) image of Worldview2 sensor. The results demonstrated development in road detection based on shape-factor clustering.

Our study explores the influences Impact of Occupational stress on pharmaceutical employees in Bangalore Industries how work load, lack of proper job training to the employees increases job stress and effect the productivity in the organization. The present study aimed at i) To understand the impact of company culture and work load, on stress and Absenteeism ii) to study the relationship between Stress and work load,. III) to know the factors causing of stress in pharmaceutical companies. The study was conducted in Bangalore , Karnataka with a sample of 250 women pharmaceutical professionals. The sample selection was done by convenience sampling method. The data was analyzed using descriptive one way analysis of variance and Pearson’s correlation test . Results showed that the pharmaceutical employees experienced moderate level of stress and stress dimension. This study reveals that 85 percent of the respondents experience medium level of stress and stress dimension also suggested the Work culture and workload significantly influence the over all stress and depression experienced by the employees. Our study shows that there might be a strong relationship between over all stress and Company culture.

A prominent scholar, depicting the picture of Women in India, today, has maintained: There is no doubt that we are in the midst of a great revolution in the history of women. The evidence is everywhere; the voice of women is increasingly heard in Parliament, courts and in the streets. While women in the West had to fight for over a century to get some of their basic rights, like the right to vote, the Constitution of India gave women equal rights with men from the beginning.
