African mistletoe (Tapinanthus globiferus (A. Rich) Tieghem) is a hemi –plant parasite belonging to the family Loranthaceae. It grows as a partial parasite on the branches of many trees and has various ethnomedicinal uses. Qualitative screening of extracts obtained from 10 different host species in (Fadama Area) Birnin-Kebbi Local Government, Kebbi State revealed the presence of biologically active compounds. Quantitatively. Presence or distribution of phytochemical substances in T. globiferus appeared to be partly dependent on the host plant species. The current study is aimed to make aware about the presence of certain bioactive compounds in plants which attribute them medicinal values & can provide alternative pathway for the replacement of synthetic drugs. Effort should be directed to the phytochemical screening and pharmacological potentials of T. globiferus in order to unlock the full medicinal potentials of the species.

The functions of MEDICAL DIAGNOSIS CHAIR are a set sensors are used to find Blood Pressure and Heart Beat count. If there are any fluctuations in heart beat is reported and the alarm is raised and voice call is initiated. At regular intervals reports are generated and stored in local memory as well as transmitted. The hardware section includes the Arduino Galileo Gen2 board, Blood Pressure sensor, Pulse rate sensor, Capacitive touch sensor, GSM shield and memory card.

Drying is known as one of the oldest and best method for keeping the agricultural materials and food products. In process of drying, utilization of energy makes that drying seems an activity with the most consumption of energy. In this paper, kinetics of drying of banana pieces was carried out using Hybrid Dryer. In our experiments, dryer were regulated in velocities of air of 1, 1.5 and 2 m/s and temperatures of 60, 70 and 80?. Banana pieces were cut with thickness of 5 millimeter. In order to achieve the fit model in molding of kinetics of drying, it must be examine the models. Thus, in this research, 8 models were selected randomly to obtain the fit model. In evaluation of models, among the 8 models, Aghbashlo model was fit model. The model called fit model that it has highest value for R2 and lowest values for RMSE, and MBE in all of the experiments. Variation domain of energy of activation and diffusivity of moisture of effective were 6.52×10-9 to 9.20×10-9m2/s & 50.61 to 53.79 kJ/ mol., respectively.

Urachal cyst is one of a spectrum of urachal abnormalities most commonly found in children. But it is a rare pathologic disease entity in the adult, which may present only with abdominal pain. We describe a case of a 49 year old male who presented with abdominal pain, fever and dysuria. Diagnosis of an infected urachal cyst was confirmed on Computed tomography of the pelvis. He was treated initially with broad spectrum antibiotics in order to allow sepsis to resolve prior to surgical excision of the cyst and fibrous tract. Histology of the excised specimen showed chronic inflammation with no evidence of malignancy. Postoperative recovery was uneventful. Urachal abnormalities are rare in adults. Clinical presentation is non-specific and must be considered as a rare differential for abdominal pain, when diagnosed, surgical excision is advised because of the risk of malignant transformation.

Pheochromocytomas are catecholamine producing tumors arising mostly from chromaffin cells of the adrenal medulla. The prevalence of the tumor is 0.1%-0.6% in the hypertensive population, It has been called 'the great mimic’, capable of presenting itself as many other medical conditions. The most common clinical presentation is hypertension, mainly in the form of paroxysmal episodes. Cardiovascular manifestations include malignant arrhythmia and catecholamine cardiomyopathy, mimicking acute coronary syndromes and acute heart failure. We report a case of pheochromocytoma revealed by angina, and acute myocardial infarction without coronary artery disease (CAD).

Bioremediation of poly aromatic hydrocarbon (PAHs) contaminated soil was investigated using micro scale land farming. The mushroom species: namely saprophytic, symbiotic and parasitic were applied by broadcasting them to the relevant cell at 10 cm depth. 100 g of mushroom substrate was applied once in 6 weeks to the cells. These quantities of mushroom supplied enough nitrogen to the cells for the 10 week remediation period. The biodegradation rates of PAHs contaminated soil in the presence of the mushroom were studied using chemical kinetics approach. The reaction orders were studied using the differential method but the reaction rate constants were computed using the integral method. -1Results show that reaction rate constants were 0.0503, 0.0536 and 0.0515 day-1, for saprophytic, parasitic and symbiotic mushrooms respectively. The reaction orders and rate constants show no significant difference. However, parasitic mushroom degrade the PAHs faster than the other species.

This research work reflects the effect of open waste dump on groundwater quality at Rukpokwu, Port Harcourt. Water quality contamination due to open waste disposal has been assuming menacing proportion. In the area in consideration, groundwater is unsafe for drinking due to the alteration that has been caused to the ground water hydrology because of the open waste dumping site. Ground water and leachate samples from the open waste dump site were collected and analyzed in the laboratory for their physical and chemical characteristics. From the results obtained, it was discovered that the mean concentration values of TDS, DO, NH4+, SO4+, NO3- , pH, and TSS are 94.97mg/l, 4.075mg/l, 0.24mg/l 0.446mg/l, 0.67mg/l, 28.36mg/l, 7.12mg/l and 0.172mg/l for leachate samples. Also the mean concentration values for Mn, Cl, Mg in groundwater samples are 60mg/l, 0.10mg/l and 1.09mg/l and for well water samples and 70mg/l, Nil and 2.908mg/l respectively. The mean concentration for measured parameters except COD, BOD, Total Coliform, Manganese, Colour, appearance and odour conform to WHO standard for drinking water.

This paper shows the empirical evidence about the outreach of Islamic Rural banks in the term of six aspects: depth, breadth, scope, worth, cost and length. This study reveals that the outreach of Islamic rural banks have already increased and better for four aspects: depth, breadth, scope and length. Furthermore, this study recommends several policies in terms of strengthening aspects of regulation, socialization, competitiveness and human resources aspect.

While capital markets play a pivotal role in promoting economic development, investors can be motivated to invest in the capital market only if securities in the market are appropriately priced, which, in turn, is governed by the market efficiency. Market Efficiency is closely related to the random walk hypothesis which states that a share price will follow a random walk. While there has been ample research to test the Random Walk Hypothesis at the capital markets in developed economies, very few studies have been conducted for capital markets in India. Further, even fewer studies have been conducted for the Indian Banking sector, represented by the Bank NIFTY Index. The current study examines Random Walk Hypothesis at the Bank NIFTY Index for the period from 1st April 2014 to 31st March 2017. Normality tests indicate that the day-wise returns are normally distributed. In order to provide a better understanding of the data utilized in this study, the descriptive statistics are examined. Further, results from the Run test indicate that the Bank NIFTY Index does not follow a random walk for the period examined.
