Information processing model developed for management and psychological literature were from the basis of four general models, which provide a guiding framework for research. These models were term as rational, limited capacity, expert, and cybernetic models of information processing and behavior. Previous researcher argued that each model provides a different explanation of processing in several theoretical domains and has different methodological implications. However, the findings of the present study advanced and tested using structural equation modelling on the data collected from a sample of 118 Malaysian companies suggest that integrated information processing model is more appropriate in explaining extent of environmental scanning and information processing capacity and having a significant bearing on the quality of the decision made.

Fingerprint identification is one the most important biometric technologies since the unchangeable fingerprints during human life span, and the uniqueness of each individual’s fingerprint. This paper is an attempt to design and implement a biometric security system in human fingerprint using the concept of wavelet analysis, and a new scheme for human fingerprint recognition using wavelet packet decomposition is presented. Each human fingerprint is described by a subset of band filtered images containing wavelet coefficients. These coefficients characterize the human fingerprint texture and a set of simple statistical measures allows us to form efficient and meaningful feature vectors. Then, a useful and reliable Bayes classifier is employed in order to classify the human fingerprint feature vectors into person classes.

In the field of simulation work, it could proceed to an extent that, simulate with arbitrary values of the passive component and the voltage sources. The simulation results recorded various strategic points in the circuit indicate and validate the fact that the circuit is working in the expected lines with regard to the energy transfer in the expected lines with regard to the energy transfer in the tank circuit and sustenance in DC transient Analysis. Also in this proposed experimental work, it is observed that for an arbitrary load, the voltage obtained is agreeing with the theoretically computed DC-Voltage levels. The scope of the work can be extended to the actual calculation of the passives, the initial voltages across the capacitors and inductors. In addition to the exciting DC levels of the sources employed. The small signal analysis can also be done with due regard to the desired behavioural properties of switching devices used.

Green mussel (Perna viridis) was brought from Fort- Cochin Fish market to the laboratory was shucked and collected the meat. Mussel meat packed in the Tin Free Steel can (130gm in a can) and were thermally processed in an over pressure retort. Heat penetration characteristics, process time, nutritional and sensory quality parameters etc were analyzed. F0 value of the product was 8.79 when thermal processed at 121oc for 48.94 minutes. The processed product was commercially sterile. The present study was to find out the changes in the biochemical constituents of green mussel (Perna viridis) when thermally processed in brine in an over pressure retort. Texture attributes such as hardness, chewiness, springiness, and cohesiveness did not show any marked variation in the processed meat. Proximate composition canned mussel meat showed a slight decrease when compared with fresh meat sample.

The purpose of this paper is to investigate the relationship between the mathematics anxiety, mathematics interest and mathematics achievement. The sample size comprised of 78 (32 male and 46 female) undergraduate students of Bachelor of Science in Economics. The Pearson correlation analysis is used to analyze the data. The results revealed that mathematics anxiety has significant negative correlation with mathematics interest and mathematics achievement. It is also found that mathematics interest and mathematics achievement has significant positive correlation. There was a no significant gender difference found in mathematics anxiety but there was a significant gender difference in mathematics interest and mathematics achievement. Moreover, female students showed a higher level of mathematics interest and mathematics achievement than the male students. The study reveals that the performance of the students of Economics in Mathematics is influenced by the mathematics anxiety.

This paper proposes a new crossover for the shortage of genetic algorithm, which is called Same-position reverse Crossover, replaces the mutation operator in genetic algorithm for trust region method. Finally, proves convergence of algorithm. Numerical experiment shows that the new method is effective.

The Indian Census is the most credible source of information on Demography (Population characteristics), Economic Activity, Literacy and Education. This is the only source of primary data in the village town and ward level, It provides valuable information for planning and formulation policies for Central and the State Governments and is widely used by National and International Agencies, Scholars, business people, industrialists, and many more. Census 2011marks a milestone in the history of Census taking in the country. It has come at a time when India is perhaps at an inflexion point in history, when it sheds the legacy of the past and emerges among the comity of Nations as a strong, self-reliant and modern Nation. The basic benchmark statistics on the state of human resources, demography, culture and economic structure at this crucial juncture of the country’s history would be vital to guide and shape the future course of the Nation In a country like India, with multiethnic, multilingual, multicultural and multilevel society, the Census is much more than a mere head count of the population. It gives a snapshot of not only the demographic but also the economic, social and cultural profile of the country at a particular point of time. . No wonder therefore, that Census 2011 has adopted an apt tagline – “Our Census, Our Future”! The present paper is an attempt to analyze the human resource development in Punjab as compared to other states. The analysis is based on 2011 census.

Nosocomial infections in the hospitals disseminated from the cotton fabrics of health care professionals and patients leads to severe complications like respiratory, gastrointestinal and urinary tract infections. Since the hospital based textile materials like cotton and polyester has good surface properties, it can harbour large number of microorganisms. Hence in this study, two different antibacterial drugs showing synergistic properties were attached to different fabricsusing beta-cyclodextrin as a cross-linker with the aim that, treated fabric could act as barriers against transmission of challenge organisms. Inorder to decrease the drug resistant property of the nosocomial pathogens, a fluoroquinolone and a nitroimidazole compounds were mixed at suitable composition based on their synergistic behaviour. Both the compounds were modified to act as reactive dyes and were covalently bonded to the surface of cotton and polyester in order to impart antibacterial properties. The assay used for measuring antibacterial properties was based on the AATCC Test Method-100. The treated fabric was also subjected to multiple washings to determine its durability based on the AATCC Test Method-124. To determine the mode of action of these drugs, DNA of the pathogens were extracted and analysed by agarose gel electrophoresis for drug treated and untreated fabrics. The difference in the number of viable bacteria after ‘0’ contact time and 18 hours contact time with treated fabrics were statistically calculated with P<0.05 considered significant.

The proposed NLMS techniques have been modeled using Verilog HDL; the models have been verified using test benches with a functional coverage of 95%. The results obtained have been compared with MATLAB results, which are considered to be a benchmark. The HDL (Hardware Description Language) code is synthesized using Synopsys Design Compiler targeting 130-nanometer TSMC (Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company) library and target technology. The synthesized netlist obtained for all the adaptive filtering techniques proposed in this research work is taken through physical design flow consisting of Floorplanning Placement and Routing steps. The results obtained at each step are simulated for the functionality. The final GDSII (Graphical Design Standard II) file is generated for the proposed techniques.. The floor planning, placement and routing of the netlist ensures that the overall size for the entire chip does not exceed by 2.15 Square millimeters. The results obtained for NLMS adaptive filtering techniques using pipelining, parallel processing, low power techniques and floating point architectures have proven that the complexities in the industrial applications can be met if the design is implemented on ASIC.

The study was to investigate the factors affecting the adoption of upland NERICA rice in the Ejura-Sekyeredumase District in the Ashanti Region. The simple random sampling technique was used to select 100 rice farmers in the district. About 20% of the farmers had fully adopted the upland NERICA rice. It was found that adoption of upland NERICA rice was dependent on NERICA farm size, accessibility and income level at 5% significant level. The main challenge associated with the production of upland NERICA rice is low rainfall causing total loss of yield. Farmers should form groups to make accessibility to incentives and other benefits easy. They should also cultivate the local rice alongside NERICA to supplement their income and finally, extension agents should increase their contacts with the low adopters of NERICA rice.
