Anaemia is a common health problem among women throughout the world. The present study with the objective to assess the nutritional status of rural village women and to study the knowledge of village women regarding Anaemia. In addition to this, the effect of various socio-economic and demographic factors on Anaemia related knowledge of village women are assessed. The cross sectional study was carried out in Punavasal village of Tiruvarur District in Cauvery delta region, Tamil Nadu. A total of 1000 respondents were selected randomly. Their knowledge was tested and socio-demographic and nutritional profile was recorded. Conclusion was that knowledge of rural women was found to be very poor in regard of Anaemia, nutritional status was unsatisfactory. To eradicate the problem of Anaemia a more intense awareness campaign is required in the region. Keywords: Anaemia, Heamoglobin, Blood, RBC, WBC.

External debt is one of the main sources of financing for some ECOWAS countries, which plays an important role in filling up the gap of scare resources as a result of low domestic savings and high current account deficit. The impact of external debt stock and debt servicing has become a significant area of study. The main focus of this thesis is to investigate the impact of external debt and debt servicing on some ECOWAS countries? economic growth over the period 1970 to 2008 by using annual times series data. The variables of the econometric model used in the study include the Gross Domestic Product as the dependent variable and external debt stock and debt servicing as the independent variables. Using annual time series data, ADF (Augmented Dickey- Fuller) and PP (Phillips-Perron) unit root tests are employed to test stationarity. Following the stationarity check of the time series data of some ECOWAS country, the cointegration test is applied to analyze the long-run relationship between the variables. Then the Error Correction Models are estimated, which provide a useful link between the long-run equilibrium and short-run disequilibrium dynamics.The results illustrate that the economic impact of external debt stock and its servicing varied for different countries among the ECOWAS countries. External debt contributes to economic growth in Benin and Niger while the impact of external debt stock adversely affect the economic growth of Burkina Faso, Cote d?Ivoire, Gambia, Guinea- Bissau, Nigeria, Sierra-Leone and Togo.

The model of mass transfer unsteady free convection two-dimensional flow of an incompressible, electrically conducting viscous fluid along an infinite vertical porous plate through porous medium with time dependant Permeability and oscillatory suction in the presence of chemically reacting species has been studied. The dimensionless governing equations are solved using Perturbation technique. The results are obtained for velocity, concentration, Sherwood number and skin friction. The effect of various material parameters are discussed on flow variable and presented by graphs and tables.

The unsteady free convection flow of a laminar viscous, incompressible, electrically conducting with chemical reactive species and heat generation fluid past a semi-infinite vertical plate embedded in uniform porous medium with slip flow region has been studied. The governing equations are solved analytically using perturbation techniques. The influences of the various parameters on the flow field, Temperature field, Mass concentration field, Skin friction, Rate of heat transfer and Rate of mass transfer are extensively discussed through Graphs and Tables.

In financial monitoring, instead of direct control of prices and conditions of the insurance company contracts, financial indexes and financial strength of these companies is evaluated. Solvency margin is a tool used by many advanced companies for financial monitoring that represents the excess of assets than liabilities. Or we can say the financial ability of the insurance company to cover its accepted risks. So far, the world's different systems using different methodologies are designed and implemented to evaluate solvency of insurance companies. In this paper, using the criteria identified in the literature, while comparing the insurance industry's financial monitoring system in Iran with other systems - solvency II and the united states RBC- we make recommendations to improve the solvency formula defects of insurance industry in Iran.

The study is on the determinants of factors affecting net return of tomato in Owerri metropolis of Imo State, Nigeria, A sample size of 60 tomato traders of 30 wholesalers and 30 Retailers were randomly selected .Simple descriptive statistics, marketing margin tool and net return model were used to analyze the data. The study showed that traders were faced with several constraints and the major one in the study area was hourly fluctuation in market prices, Based on the findings, marketers were advised to belong to cooperative were they can together build adequate storage facility for their produce.

The study attempted to find out the impact of capacity building of teachers of Government Boys’ Primary Schools on classroom teaching. The objectives of the study were to find out the strengths and weaknesses of the capacity building initiatives for professional development of teachers in district Swat and to make recommendations for improving the current efforts of government and other agencies for capacity building of primary school teachers. Capacity is developed when individuals are motivated to use knowledge, skills and resources in order to enhance organizational objectives. An opinionnaire containing eleven statements was handed over to Head Masters, a questionnaire containing eleven questions were handed over to the teachers, who had received training and a checklist for classroom observation of 5th class students of 101 primary schools in district Swat. The relevant literature was reviewed, which provided indicators for development of tools. The data obtained were quantified and described. The results revealed that Head Masters could play more effective role for school effectiveness by developing clear vision; providing instructional feedback to teachers; effective monitoring and supervisory mechanism; setting a democratic environment conducive to teaching learning process and involving the stakeholders in decision-making. The results of the study further indicated that school effectiveness owed itself to capable Head Masters, committed staff, non-political intervention, a procedure of incentives and disincentives, positive feedback to teachers and last, but not the least, a continuous instructional supervision of what happened in classroom. The recommendations for improving classroom teaching required continuous on-the-job training, commitment of teachers to the teaching profession and improved pedagogical skills of teachers as well as updating classroom management.

Variety of vegetable oils are available as alternate fuels but due to their high viscosity and low volatility, they are blended with diesel. Aim of the present work is to evaluate performance of diesel engine fueled with blends of methyl ester of cotton seed oil and diesel. Filtered cotton seed oil is converted into its methyl ester using transesterification process. Engine used is four stroke, single cylinder, variable compression ratio water cooled engine. Results show higher brake thermal efficiency and lower brake specific fuel consumption for B10 as compared to other blends.

This paper aims to examine that transformational leadership and employee empowerment influence on job satisfaction among small medium enterprises employee of Pakistan. This study adopted survey research that is a design of non experimental field study. There were given 250 questionnaires in 25 m firms HR departments (10 questionnaires in each firm). 22 firms respond and 220 questionnaires were usable for our research. There were examined the positive relationship between transformational leadership, employee empowerment and job satisfaction. While there was found the mediating variable ethics and social responsibility that showed the positive relationship. The main objective of this research was to analyze the effects of independent variables (.i.e. transformational leadership and employee empowerment) on job satisfaction. The data was collected by descriptive study and survey conducted on textile sector of SMEs in the city of Multan, Pakistan. The basic signification of this paper is that SMEs, particularly in the developing domestic and collectively owned small firms, in Pakistan, may see positively the benefits of paying greater considerations and social responsibility to transformational leadership and empowerment practices for gaining their future progress promisingly in job satisfaction.

This research aims to explore the impacts of organizational learning with a mediating role of innovation on organizational performance. Furthermore, this research was conducted in the textile processing sectors in Faisalabad, Pakistan. Organizational learning and its four dimensions managerial commitment, systems perspective, openness and experimentation and the knowledge transfer and integration contribute the significant impact on organizational performance. There was used Structural Equation Modeling to measure the model and used SMART-PLS version 2.0 package. The studies identified some recommendations to textile processing sectors that organizations can provide a platform to facilitate its processing sectors to promote innovation and creativity for improving efficiency and effectiveness in the organization. Findings identify a number of suggestions through which there can be solve problems in the organizations with the use of knowledge, learning and innovative skills in other organizations.
