Pure and 0.1 mole % L-aspartic acid doped Ammonium Dihydrogen Phosphate (ADP) have been grown by solvent slow evaporation technique at room temperature. The grown crystals were characterized by powder X-ray diffraction, Uv-visible, FTIR and Raman FTIR analysis. The doping of L-aspartic acid was confirmed by FTIR spectrum and Raman FTIR. The Nonlinear optical property (SHG) of L-aspartic acid doped ADP was increased than the Pure ADP. Thermally stable for both pure and L-aspartic acid doped ADP crystal. Micro hardness studies were carried out on the grown crystal.

Ngari is a non-salted fermented fish product of Manipur. Sundried Puntius sophore (Ham.) are fermented anaerobically with no intentional addition of starter culture for 4 to 12 months. LAB, Bacillus and yeast were involved in its fermentation. They are prepared at household level and marketed locally. Ngari are good source of protein, amino acids and minerals. The product has potential probiotic properties, antioxidant and antihypertensive characteristics. However, the fermented product if not processed hygienically can pose threat to food borne illness due to cross contamination. This review study is to know the processing technique and potential health benefits of Ngari.

In order to study the effects of increasing corn plant densities on competitive ability of corn with natural weed populations in Khouzestan climate, a split plot based on randomized Complete Block design with four replications were conducted in 2011 in a field experiment station at Ramin Agricultural and Natural Resources, University of Mollasani, Ahvaz. Treatments included pure stands of corn at three densities (40000, 70000 and 100000 plants ha-1) and weed-interference period to v9 and v13 in any of plant densities (40000, 70000 and 100000 plants ha-1). The following results were observed that there was significantly difference between studied characters, grain yield, biological yield, harvest index, grain number per and row number per ear, grain number per row and 1000-grains weight among treatments. The studied characters were severely reduced by increasing the duration of weed interference after corn emergence. In addition, results showed that with corn plant increasing densities, corn plants tolerated the presence of weeds until v9 stage with approximately 6-15% in yield loss.

This study was conducted to evaluation of different formulations of Betanal Progress OF herbicide on weeds control of sugar beet field. The experimental design was factorial on the basis of randomized complete block with four replications. Treatments consisted of four different formulations of the herbicide Betanal Progress F (Iranian, Spanish, German and Chinese) with four different doses (3, 4, 4.5 and 5 liters per hectare). Evaluated traits included frequency of weed and dry weight at 15 and 30 days after spraying. Result showed that German formulation and 4.5 liter per ha Betanal Progress F had highest weed control at sugar beet field.

This study aims at analyzing the relations between EFL learners’ locus of control, self-directed learning readiness and the choice of vocabulary learning strategies. The participants were 137 undergraduate students from Islamic Azad university- Rasht branch. Oxford Placement Test (2004) was administered to them in order to specify the homogeneity of the participants in terms of language proficiency. In order to measure the variables of the study self-report questionnaires of locus of control, self-directed learning readiness and vocabulary learning strategies were used. To achieve the purpose of the study spearman rank-ordered correlations, independent sample t-tests, two Man-Whitney tests, two-way factorial MANOVA, simple linear regressions and one-way ANOVA analyses were conducted. The results revealed that self-directed learning readiness positively correlated with both discovery and consolidation vocabulary learning strategies and that self-directed learning readiness’s levels predict the use of two types of vocabulary learning strategies.

Binary pseudo random noise sequences are sequences of 1’s and 0’s having properties which make them appear to be noise-like but yet are deterministic. The NO-Kumar sequences were discovered by Jong-Seon No and P.V.Kumar and are known to have optimal correlation properties and a large linear span. The families of NO sequences are periodic with period = 2n-1 where ‘n’ is an even integer and contain within them a GMW sequence and also small set of Kasami sequences as special case. In this paper we investigate the properties of these sequences such as balance, run and even correlation properties. Odd correlation properties of these sequences which are not described in the NO-Kumar paper are also highlighted. The sequences are first simulated in MATLAB and then implemented by writing a Verilog code on the Nexys 4 FPGA board.

Inappropriate fertilizer application usage is among the problems associated with eggplant production in Ogbomoso agro-ecological zone. Field experiment was conducted at the Teaching and Research Farm of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso to assess the effects of different fertilizers on the performance of five varieties of eggplant. The treatments consisted of five fertilizer types (No fertilizer, Inorganic fertilizer (NPK 100%), Organic fertilizer (100% compost), 50% compost + 50% NPK and 75% compost + 25% NPK) and five varieties of eggplant (Nacy, Ravenna, Nathelie, Reth and Orma). The fertilizer treatments were supplied at the equivalent rate of 60 kg N/ha. The experiment was a factorial experiment laid out in randomized complete block design. The five fertilizer types and five eggplant varieties translates to 25 treatment combinations, which was replicated three times. The agronomic and yield data collected were analyzed using the analysis of variance procedure while the treatment means were separated using the Duncan Multiple range test at 5% level of probability. It was observed that application of fertilizer improved the growth and yield attributes of eggplant when compared with where no fertilizer was applied. Combined application of 50% compost + 50% NPK and 75% compost and 25% NPK gave the highest fruit yields of 31.8 and 29.9 t/ha, respectively, which were not different significantly from each other. Ravenna variety produced the highest fruit yield (37.1t/ha). Planting of Ravenna variety with application of 50% NPK + 50% compost could be recommended for production of eggplant in the study area.

Uterine rupture is a potentially catastrophic event during childbirth for mother & baby. The incidence of ruptured uterus is 0.3 to 1.7% in scarred uterus, and 0.03 to 0.08% in unscarred uterus. The mortality rate ranges between 1-13% and perinatal mortality between 74-94%. The most common cause for rupture in unscarred uterus is cephalo pelvic disproportion. We present a case of uterine rupture in a patient who had previous normal vaginal birth.

This Paper presents the parametric study for a four stroke single cylinder SI Engine using a dual fuel Gasoline and LPG as an alternative fuel for investigating the performance and emissions of SI Engine. The performance parameters brake power, torque, Bsfc, Bmep were examined with using AVL BOOST Software. In addition the exhaust emissions like NOX, CO & HC were also measured.SI engine fuelled by LPG has slightly decreased on power output as compared to Gasoline. However, engine fuelled by LPG reduce on specific fuel consumption (SFC). This study investigates the effect of dual fuel LPG with gasoline in a four-stroke spark ignited single cylinder SI Engine. The study was carried out at varying load for constant engine speed. The main objective of the parametric study is to investigate the effects of replacing individual petrol and LPG with their optimum mixture of dual fuel in a spark ignition engine, and to prove reduction in emissions.

The main contributions of the present work include the design of a computer-aided detection (CAD) system for the segmentation and classification of breast cancer. A comparison of segmentation and classification methods of both masses and micro-calcifications, tapping of a new entropy function called Hanmandlu and Anirban entropy function. The new entropy function outperforms over the Shannon’s entropy and drastically improved the classification accuracy by 5%. Next is development of a modified rough set quick reduct algorithm for the reduction of dimensionality in the feature selection prior to the classification. On the average the reader’s sensitivity can be increased by 10% with the assistance of our CAD system. Our finding indicated the potential of CAD to reduce the false negative rates by 50-75%. The average execution time is 5 seconds per image.
